Quertermous
PADUCAH, Ky. - Ray Quertermous, 92, passed away April 18, 2005 at Western Baptist Hospital. He was a member of the VFW in Paducah, was a World War II Army veteran and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are three sons, Kenneth Quertermous, Wayne Quertermous and David Quertermous, all of Paducah; a daughter, Rayma Bradshaw of Paducah; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; and 14 great-stepchildren.
He was preceded in death by six brothers; five sisters; his wife, Geraldine Faye Quertermous; and his parents, Jasper and Nona Quertermous.
Services were April 19 at Boyd Funeral Chapel with Bro. Donnie McElmurray officiating. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery.

Scofield
LEDBETTER, Ky. - Services for James P. "Jim" Scofield, 72, were April 19, 2005 at Ledbetter United Methodist Church. Rev. Mike Grimes officiated with burial in Riverview Gardens in Defiance, Ohio.
Scofield, a member of Ledbetter United Methodist Church, passed away April 16 at Western Baptist Hospital. He was a member of American Legion Post 217, Masonic Lodge 148 in Providence where he was Past Master and the Scottish Rite.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Elizabeth Flory Scofield of Ledbetter; three sons, Joseph Scofield of Palm Bay, Fla., Charles Scofield of Muncie, Ind., and Thomas Scofield of Clay; two daughters, Karen Melton of Symsonia and Shelly Phillips of Providence; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph C. and Mary M. Foltz Scofield.

Williamson
EDDYVILLE, Ky.- Funeral services for Joyce D. Williamson, 61, formerly of Crittenden County, were April 10, 2005 at Boyd Funeral Home. Rev. Lonnie Knight and Rev. John East officiated. Burial was in Asbridge Cemetery.
Williamson was a member of Tyner's Chapel Church and the Eastern Star.
She passed away April 8 at Salem Springlake Care Center.
Surviving are two daughters, Jacqueline Jessie of Louisville and Joy Koon of Salem; two brothers, Chester Brown and Johnny Brown, both of Marion; six sisters, Bobbie Brasher of Marion, Ada Peek and Kathy Nelson, both of Mishawaka, Ind., Dorothy Patton, Jean Fritzgerald and Clara Fulks, all of Eddyville; and four granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Calvert and Verna Brown; a brother, Thomas Brown; and her parents, Ross and Naomi Cox Brown.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Lourdes Hospice, 2855 Jackson Street, Paducah, KY 42001.

Hazzard
Christine Carner Hazzard, 88, of Marion, passed away April 7, 2005.
She was a member of the Eastern Star, White Shrine and the Crooked Creek Homemakers. She was a Kentucky Colonel and received numerous awards for her involvement in work, church and community groups. She was also a retired Avon saleswoman and final inspector at Potter and Brumfield.
She is survived by two daughters, Virginia (Al) Zimmer, Mary (Dale) Rice; four grandchildren, Jerry (Martha) Wheeler, Ron (Gerri) Carner, Pam DeFord and Brad (Toni) Rice; great-grandchildren, Denise (Trent) Guess, Shana (Ken) Geary, Jeremy Wheeler, Rachel DeFord, Matt Carner, Jennifer Carner, Kristin Carner, Sarah Rice and Amanda Rice; and great-great-grandchildren, Allie Geary, Alyssa DeFord and Seth Guess.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Carner; her second husband, L.C. Hazzard; and two sons, Bobby and Doyle. Her parents were Homer and Eva Ann Hodge.
Services were April 10 at Gilbert Funeral Home with burial at Mapleview Cemetery.Harralson
Jane Harralson, 70, formerly of Marion, passed away April 12, 2005 at her home. She was a retired bookkeeper.
Surviving are a son, Brent Harralson of Dawson Springs; two daughters, Sally Hammonds and Anna Harralson, both of Princeton; a brother, Randall Chandler of Marion; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Chandler Gray and Anna Margaret Chandler; her husband, George "Bubs" Harralson; and her parents, Johnie and Dora Roberts Chandler.
Services will be at 11 a.m., April 14 at Ogden Memorial United Methodist Church in Princeton with Rev. David Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to George "Bubs" Harralson Boy Scout Scholarship c/o Ogden Memorial United Methodist Church, 305 W. Main Street, Princeton, KY 42445.

Kimsey
Paul R. Kimsey, 72, of Marion, passed away April 9, 2005 at Crittenden Health and Rehab.
Surviving are a daughter, Paula Jo Schworch; three brothers, Kenneth Kimsey of Marion, Loyd Kimsey of Hobart, Ind., and James Kimsey of Portage, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles W. Kimsey; and his parents, Charles W. and Iona Henderson Kimsey.
No services were planned.

Sullivan
CALVERT CITY, Ky. - Robbie Sullivan, 75, formerly of Caldwell County, passed away April 8, 2005 at Oakview Nursing Home in Calvert City.
She was a retired line worker at Arvin Industries and a member of Unity Baptist Church in Fredonia.
She is survived by a daughter, Eva Miller of Benton; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Sullivan; four sons, Kelly Sullivan, Douglas Sullivan, Charlie Sullivan and Russell Sullivan; a daughter, Ada Sullivan Tosh; and two sisters, Francis Derry and Dorothy Baker. Her parents were Kelly and Macy Ellen Rushing Jennings.
Services were April 10 at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Mark Faughn and Dale Faughn officiating. Burial was in Rowland Cemetery.

McDaniel
Catherine A. McDaniel, 86, of Marion, formerly of Evansville, passed away April 5 at Salem Springlake Care Center. She was a member of Eastern Star and Eagles Auxiliary in Evansville.
Survivors include two grandsons, David Walker and Douglas Walker; a niece, Judy Hamby of Marion; and a nephew, Mike McDaniel of Benton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy McDaniel; a son, Bobby Walker; and her parents, Robert Andrew and Mary Mattingly Berry.
Services were April 9 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Porter officiating. Burial was in Whites Chapel Cemetery.

Workman
SALEM, Ky. - Evelyn Workman, 85, passed away April 7, 2005 at Livingston Hospital. She was a retired seamstress.
Surviving are a grandson, Jamie Workman of Calvert City; a granddaughter, Felicia D. Holt of Mayfield; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, James David Workman and Phillip Ray Workman; her parents, Lieu and Ora Doan Coleman; five brothers; and two sisters.
Services were April 10 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. John East officiating. Burial was in Lola Cemetery.

Lawson
SMITHLAND, Ky. - Funeral services for Robert Edward "Edmond" Lawson, 85, were April 8, 2005 at Smithland United Methodist Church. Rev. Mike Birk and Rev. Mac Dossett officiated. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery.
Lawson, a member of Smithland United Methodist Church, passed away April 6 at his home.
Surviving are his wife, Karen Lawson of Smithland; six daughters, Crystal Burns of Ledbetter, Ginny Little of Kirksey, Tammy Chittenden of Smithland and Janice Hines, Sam McDonald and Jerri Hughes, all of Carrsville; a son, John Hartman of Reno, Nev.; and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Hartman; a sister; and a brother. His parents were Isiaeh and Ruby Lawson.
