GARDENA, Calif. - Opal Clara Terry Rice, 93, passed away Jan. 20, 2005 in Torrance, Calif., where she lived for more than 50 years. She was born in Blackford in Webster County.
Surviving are a daughter, Lenora Hicks of Covina, Calif.; a son, Henry Clay Rice of Hermosa Beach, Calif.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Local survivors are two nieces, Martha Crider Bynum and Caroline Conway Riley; and three nephews, Henry, Joe and Donald Conway, all of Fredonia.
Her parents were John Milton Terry and Clara Woodall Terry. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Terry Crider, and a granddaughter, Vonda.
Graveside services were held Jan. 27 at Evergreen Cemetery in Los Angeles, Calif.
Holder
Billie W. Holder, 71, of Marion, passed away Jan. 29, 2005 at Lourdes Hospital. He was a member of Seven Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Susan Holder of Marion; two daughters, Barbara "Sis" Holder of Kansas City, Kan., and Stacie Beckner of Marion; seven sisters, Maxine Mathews of Eddyville, Kathleen Matheney of Shelbyville, Ill., Gladys Hannis of Wandi, Ill., Bonnie Brooks of Decatur, Ill., Eunice Peek of Dycusburg, and Naomi McClure and Glenda Price, both of Marion; and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Holder; his parents, Perce and Neva Holder; his stepmother, Marybelle Holder; three sisters; and a brother.
Services were Feb. 1 at Seven Springs Baptist Church. Burial was in Holder Cemetery. Rev. Donnie Howton and Rev. Lonnie Knight officiated. Gilbert Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Sisco
Lonnie Sisco, 82, of Marion, passed away Jan. 30, 2005 at Crittenden Hospital. He was a 32nd degree Shriner of the Scottish Rite and a member of Salem Masonic Lodge #81.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Christine Sisco of Marion; two sons, David Sisco of Marion and Paul Sisco of Fredonia; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother. His parents were Ben and Ella Ramage Sisco.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m., Feb. 3 at Boyd Funeral Home in Salem with Father Richard Cash officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.
Ferguson
COLUMBUS, Miss. - Jack W. Ferguson, 67, passed away Jan. 18, 2005 at the home of his brother in Columbus, Miss.
He graduated from Bethel College in McKenzie, Tenn., with a bachelor's degree in 1959, received his Bachelor of Divinity from the Cumberland Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 1962 and his Master of Divinity in 1969 from Memphis Theological Seminary.
He was the minister to churches in Tennessee, Oklahoma Texas and Kentucky, including Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Marion.
Survivors include three sons, Joe Ferguson of Cooksville, Tenn, Dave Ferguson of Loudon, Tenn., and Brad Ferguson of the United States Air Force his mother, Len Ferguson of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a brother, Mark D. Ferguson of Columbus, Miss.; four grandchildren; four step children; and seven step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack W. Ferguson, Sr.
Services were Jan. 22, at Vondel Smith South Colonial Chapel with Rev. Don Coleman officiating with burial at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City, OK. Memorial donations may be made to the Board of Christian Education, 1978 Union Ave., Memphis, TN 38104.
Wiggins
PORTAGE, Ind. - Thelbert "Sonny" Wiggins, 89, passed away Jan. 24, 2005. He was born in Livingston County and lived in Portage since 1979. He was employed by U.S. Steel for 27 years and was a member of the Steelworkers Union Local 1066. He was a lifetime member of the Grand Lodge of Salem, Ky., F&AM #81.
Surviving are a son, Harold "Bud" Wiggins of Portage; two daughters, Barbara Mabe of Portage and Debra Coleman, of Wheatfield, Ill.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Wiggins; his parents, Walter and Ollie Hodge Wiggins; two great-grandsons; five brothers; and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Jan. 28 at Engel Funeral Home in Portage. Bob Burton of Real Life Community Church will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Portage.
Olson
SALEM, Ky. - Mary A. Olson, 90, passed away Jan. 8, 2005 at Salem Springlake Care Center. She attended Ambassadors for Christ Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Shelia A. Lane of Marion; three sons, Harley Olson of Salem and Truman Olson and Andrew Olson, both of Yucaipa, Calif.; a brother, Bud Olson of Mora, MN.; and 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Truman M. Olson; a daughter, Iris Lassonde; her parents, Andrew and Alice Gurken Olson; and several brothers and sisters.
No local services were held. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Rolla, N.D.

Collins
LOLA, Ky. - Funeral services for Leva N. Collins, 87, were held Jan. 23, 2005 at Boyd Funeral Home.
Collins passed away Jan. 21 at Livingston Hospital. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star. She was the oldest member (over 50 years) of the Homemakers Club.
Surviving are her husband, Seldon J. Collins of Lola; two sons, Bud Collins of Smithland and James Sonny Collins of Clarksville, Tenn.; a sister, Wilma Gilland of Lola; a brother, Alle Hosick of Benton; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother; and three sisters. Her parents were George W. and Nancy Jane Millikan Hosick.

Rogers
BELTON, Mo. Mildred E. Rogers, 61, passed away Jan. 21, 2005 at her home. She was a member of Pleasant Hill General Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Susan Hughes of Stilwell, Kan.; a granddaughter; two aunts; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Williams and Mary Sybil Morrow Hunt; her stepfather, Arnold "Shorty" Hunt; and a brother, Samuel Otto Smith.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Jan. 27 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.Marjorie Jeffords, 97, of Marion, passed away Jan. 24, 2005 at Crittenden Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m., Jan. 29 at Maplelawn Cemetery in Paducah with Rev. Jamie Baker officiated. Gilbert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Jeffords was a nurse for many years in Paducah.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Steve Jeffords of Destin, Fla., and Stephanie Jeffords of Columbus, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by a son, James S. Jeffords; and her husband, Sterling Jeffords.

Thornton
ROSICLARE, Ill. - Marvin H. Thornton, Jr., 83, formerly of Hardin County, Ill., passed away Jan. 16, 2005 at Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson. He was a World War II Navy veteran.
Surviving are three daughters, Janette Heck of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Tina Parsons of Louisville and Ardith O'Rourke of Slaughters; a sister, Marie Tadlock of Rosiclare; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Wyatt Thornton; two brothers, Jack Thornton and James Thornton; a sister, Robbie Laird; and his parents, Marvin and Mina Carter Thornton, Sr.
Funeral services were Jan. 19 at Hosick Funeral Homes in Rosiclare. Chaplin Sam Beeny officiated, and burial was in Fluorine Cemetery.
Mosley
DeKOVEN, Ky. - William Mosley, 41, passed away Jan. 12, 2005 at his home. Funeral services were Jan. 15 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis. Rev. Joel Gray officiated. Burial was in Old Bethel Cemetery in Union County.
Surviving are a son, Derrick Mosley of Uniontown; four sisters, Ronnie Blackburn of Sturgis, Barbara McManus of Paducah and Carlene Long and Tammy Hunter, both of Morganfield; four brothers, Larry Mosley of Sturgis, Jimmy Mosley of Chaffee, Mo., James Edward Mosley of Evansville and David Mosley of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lucy Mae Mosley.
