Funeral services for Clara Mae "Polly" Hill, 82, of Marion will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 1 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Revs. Herbert Alexander and Jimmy Porter officiating. Visitation was held at 5 p.m., Wednesday, March 31 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery.
Hill passed away March 29, 1999 at Salem Springlake Nursing Home.
She was a member of Pleasant Grove General Baptist Church.
Hill is survived by three sons, Terry Hill and Kenny Hill of Marion and Reggie Hill of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Betty Sue Hogard of Indianapolis, Ind. and Mary Helen Williams of Hopkinsville; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Hill; a daughter, Judy Collier; and a son, Eddie Hill.
Vanover
Ola Mae Vanover, 89, of Providence passed away March 29, 1999 at Shemwell Nursing Home in Providence.
She was a retired bookkeeper at Phillips Chevrolet Dealership in Benton and a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Providence.
Vanover is survived by Eugene and Mary Lou Phelps; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.B. Vanover.
Services were held March 31 at Melton Funeral Home in Providence with Revs. James Messer and Jack Ferguson officiating. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery in Providence.
Bragdon
Evelyn Bragdon, 79, of Marion passed away March 30, 1999 at Crittenden Hospital.
She was a member of Mexico Baptist Church and a member of Frances Order of the Eastern Star.
Bragdon is survived by a son, Larry Bragdon of Niles, Mich.; a daughter, Lynette Bragdon of Anaheim, Calif.; and three brothers, Bob Hunter of Crayne, Ford Hunter, Jr. of Hobart, Ind. and Herman Hunter of Princeton.
Visitation will be held after 5 p.m., Thursday, April 1 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, April 2 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev.
Rodney Groff officiating. Burial will be in Mexico Cemetery.
Cooper
Graveside services for Hollis Cooper, 74, of Marion, were held March 18, 1999 at Mapleview Cemetery. Rev. Robert Phillips officiated.
He passed away March 17 at Crittenden Hospital.
Cooper is survived by a sister, Lura McClure of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Robbie Cooper.
Boswell
Ruby Boswell, 66, of Tiline, passed away March 20, 1999 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
She was a member of Mint Springs Baptist Church.
Boswell is survived by her husband, Charles Boswell of Tiline; four daughters, Debbie Hunter of Calvert City, Nelda Johnson of Tiline, Arlene Schockey of Loveland, Colo., and Sheryl Boone of Grand Rivers; a son, Del Boswell of Paducah; four sisters, Maxine Adams of Ft. Deposit, Ala.,Clara Maughan of Selma, Ala., Teresa Tindall of Tyler, Ala., and Bernice Hinky of Niceville, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Terry and Mattie Lou Elliott; and a sister.
Funeral services were held March 24 at Boyd Funeral Home in Salem with Rev. Benny Chandler officiating. Burial was in Leeper Cemetery.
Lester
Funeral services for Ruby Lester, 80, of Burna were held March 23 at Boyd Funeral Home with burial in Hampton Cemetery.
She passed away March 20, 1999 at Salem Springlake Nursing Home.
Lester was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Tinker Lester of Burna; three sisters, Emma Lou McDowell of Burna, Wilma Lester of Calvert City and Pauline Talley of Smithland; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lester; a son, Bobby Lester; and her parents Willie and Ora Adkins Marrs.
Moore
Ruth Moore, 84, of Ledbetter passed away March 21, 1999 at Parkview Nursing Home in Paducah.
Moore is survived by four sons, Dale Moore of Springfield, Miss., Leon Moore and Louis Moore both of Ledbetter and Fred Moore of Midland, Tex.; three sisters, Melva Porter of Salem, Lois Watson of Creve Coeur, Ill. and Wanda Schuppe of Antioch, Ill.; two brothers, Albert Hoard and Dextel Hoard both of Dawson Springs; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Moore; her parents, Ben and Rosie Hopper Hoard; a brother; and a grandchild.
Services were held March 24 at Boyd Funeral Chapel with Rev. Allan Meinschein officiating. Burial was in Carrsville Cemetery.
McDowell
Sue McDowell, 65, of Providence, passed away March 22, 1999 at Crittenden Health Systems.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Jack McDowell Post #5484. McDowell attended Green Grove Baptist Church in Providence.
She is survived by her husband, Ezra McDowell, Jr., of Providence; a son, Keith McDowell of Providence; a daughter, Theresa Phillips of Providence; four grandchildren; a sister, Sharon Russell of Dawson Springs; and a brother, Terry Ramsey of Earlington.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kent McDowell.

Nannie Smith, 98, of Frances, passed away March 19, 1999 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center.
She is survived by three sisters, Fada Owen, Hattie Burton and Mae Howard of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Beverly and Minta Maxfield Smith; four brothers; and two sisters.
