Services were June 19 at Gilbert Funeral Home with burial in Rosebud Cemetery.
Surviving are her parents, Paul and Barbara Mayes, Sr., of Marion; a brother, Paul Mayes, Jr., of Huntsville, Ala.; a sister, Paula Gene Phelps of Salem; a brother, James Ronald Mayes of Hanson; a grandmother, Imogene Brantley Pierson of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
Williams
DUNNELLON, Fla. - A graveside service for Sandra A. "Sandie" Williams, 54, was held June 21, 2006 at Dunnellon Memorial Garden Cemetery.
Williams passed away June 18, 2006 at her home. She was the vice-president and co-owner of Williams Surveying and was of Baptist faith.
Surviving are her husband, Martin "Marty" Williams; a son, Zachary (Lane) Williams of Dunnellon; her father, Otis Millikan of Marion; her mother, Joy Blythe of Ocala; and two brothers, Darron Millikan and David Millikan, both of Marion.
Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon was in charge of arrangements.
Hinton
ROSICLARE, Ill. - Maxine Hinton, 78, passed away June 12, 2006 at Rosiclare Health Care Center. She was retired from Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Ill., as head cook and was a member of Harrisburg Church of Christ.
Surviving are five sons, Thomas Woodrow "Butch" (Nancy) Hinton, Jr., of Elijay, Ga., John Kenneth (Carolyn) Hinton of Cleveland, Tex., Jerry Wayne (Betty) Hinton of Wasilla, Alaska, Jeffery Lynn Hinton of Wilmington, Ill., and Joseph Micheal (Shirley) Hinton of Equality; a daughter, Donna V. (Richard) Mack of Equality; two sisters, Marie Croft of Lola and Melva Jean (Lloyd) Harris of Marion; and a brother, Kenneth Shelby (Carmen) Clark of Charleston, S.C.; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Woodrow Hinton, Sr.; her parents, Kenneth Harland and Vincie Arcula Curnell Clark; a son, James Eugene Hinton; a sister, Margaret Edwards; a brother, Earl Clark; and a grandson, Charles Kirby Hinton.
Services will be at 11 a.m., June 24 at Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality with Rev. Bob Colbert officiating. Burial will be in Leamington Cemetery in Junction, Ill.
Memorial donations may be made to Leamington Cemetery.
Moore
Thelma Walker Moore, 84, of Marion, passed away June 17, 2006 at Crittenden County Health and Rehab.
Survivors include a granddaughter, Charmaine Russelburg of Marion; a grandson, Michael Moore of Indiana; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Moore; a daughter, Gloria Jean Kirby; a son, Dorian Ray Moore; her parents, Grover Cleveland and Jessie Dale Walker; three brothers; and five sisters.
Services were June 21 at Gilbert Funeral Home with burial in Baker Cemetery.
Sanders
EUCLID, Ohio - Clara Laverne Dunkerson Sanders, 89, passed away June 18, 2006 at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio.
Surviving are her husband of 71 years, Thomas W. Sanders; two sisters, Nona Lee Davis of Illinois and Joyce Ann McMican of Indiana; a grandson, Nathan Ramos of Brooklyn, Ohio; and a special friend Dianne (Richard) Knight of Brooklyn, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by six brothers; two sisters; and her parents, George T. and Nonie Knipe Dunkerson.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., June 28 at Hampton Cemetery.

Dempsey
PANAMA CITY, Fla. - Harry Luther "Luke" Dempsey passed away June 4, 2006. He was a native of Crittenden County. He was a 14-year-old graduate of Sturgis High School and later attended the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY and other military and professional courses. His service to the U.S. was through the Civilian Conservation Corps, the U.S. Merchant Marines during World War II and the Korean and Vietnam Wars during which he was a commander for the USN. He retired as Commander of USNR Training Center in Tampa and resided in Panama City from 1996 until his death.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Jeanne; four brothers, Jack, Jeffrey, William and Tony; and his parents, Leamon "Jack" Van Buren and Gladys Anna Travis Dempsey.
Services were June 9 at Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son in Louisville, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Brandstetter
SALEM, Ky. - Joan Brandstetter, 69, of Salem, passed away June 7, 2006 at home after a long illness.
A graduate of Deaconess School of Nursing in St. Louis, Mo., Brandstetter was the former director of nursing at Livingston Hospital and Health Services in Salem. She was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by a son, Thomas Reed Brandstetter Jr., of Paducah; a daughter, Jeannie Brandstetter of Salem; two brothers, James Heidbreder of Holt Summit, Mo., and William Heidbreder of Lake Ozark, Mo.; a sister, Janet Otke of Jefferson City, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents were George and Katherine Worley Heidbreder. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Thomas Reed Brandstetter Sr., and a brother, Donald Heidbreder of Jefferson City, Mo.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., June 17 at Boyd Funeral Home in Salem with the Rev. Michael Grimes officiating. Burial will be later in Smithland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Livingston Hospital and Health Services, 131 Hospital Drive, Salem, KY 42078.
Turley
Billy Allen Turley, 48, of Marion, passed away June 9, 2006 at his home. He was a member of Mexico Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Allie (April) Turley of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three daughters, Ashley Turley, Andrea (George) Hollis and Alex Turley, all of Marion; his mother, Francis Turley of Marion; four brothers, Curtis (Brenda) Turley of Lexington, David Turley, Randall (Pam) Turley, both of Marion, and Todd (Patti) Turley of Mayfield; a grandchild, Kaiden Hollis of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Turley.
Services were June 12 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Thurman and Rev. Mac Dossett officiated. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
LeFan
DYCUSBURG, Ky. - Services for Andrea Kay LeFan, 16, were held June 9, 2006 at Lyon County High School. Rev. Terry Davis and Rev. Tim Burdon officiated. Burial was in Dycusburg Cemetery.
LeFan passed away June 5 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville from injuries she suffered in a car accident. Lakeland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She would have been a senior at Lyon County High School in the 2006-2007 school year. She was a three-year member of the Beta Club, Lyon County Marching Band, Pep Club and Art Club. She served as a counselor at 4-H camp for two years and attended the Governor's School of Arts. She was a member of Mexico Baptist Church in Crittenden County but attended Hebron Baptist Church in Lyon County.
Surviving are her parents, Dennis LeFan and Jamie Dale King of Dycusburg; a sister, Alison LeFan of Dycusburg; her paternal grandmother, Mary LeFan of Crittenden County; her maternal grandparents, Jim and Jean King of Homosassa, Fla.; an aunt; and three uncles.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jamie, Jr., and Dennis Jr.; by her paternal grandfather, Sanders "Cotton" LeFan; and by two uncles, Cameron King and Stanley LeFan.
George
SEBREE, Ky. - Charles "Chuck" Wayne George, Sr., 61, passed away May 30, 2006 at Regional Medical Center.
He was a greenskeeper at Henderson Country Club.
Services were June 2 at Tompkins Funeral Home Sebree Chapel with Neal Gish officiating. Burial was in Sisco Chapel Cemetery in Marion.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda Duncan George; two sons, Charles "Chuck" George, Jr., of Marion and Thomas George of Salem; a daughter, Vikki Gamblin of Sebree; two stepsons, Bryon Cowan of Sebree and Tim Cowan of Shephardsville; two stepdaughters, Sebrina Gish of Shephardsville and Misty Marcheta Davis of Henderson; two brothers, James George of Salem and Thomas George of Marion; five sisters, Mary Conway and Freda Watson, both of Marion, Juanita Fraley of Salem, Lucille "Lucy" Gibson of Waynesville, N.C., and Hazel Browning of Madisonville; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Buele and Pearl Browning George; and two sisters, Shirley George and Ernestine Garrison.
