Aubrey Eugene "Tojo" Phillips, 63, of Marion, passed away May 11, 2006 at Western Baptist Hospital. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of Marion's Bigham Lodge # 56, a Shriner for 35 years and member of Marion Eastern Star. He was a boat captain and operator for 45 years and was a member of Operator Engineer Local 181.
Surviving are his wife, Linn Phillips of Marion; two daughters, Phyllis Hinchee and Janet Phillips, both of Marion; a son, Ronnie Phillips of Marion; two brothers, Earl Phillips of Alton, Ill., and Earnest Phillips of Mayfield; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ovel and Vera Phillips; and a brother, Rev. Robert Phillips.
Services were May 13 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Rev. Harold Grace, Rev. Heath Martin and Rev. Ernest Phillips officiated. Burial was in Phillips Cemetery.
Bennett
MISHAWAKA, Ind. - Linda Paris Bennett, 41, formerly of the Frances community, passed away May 7, 2006 at St. Joe Hospital.
Surviving are her husband, William Bennett of Mishawaka; two sons, Parker Calvert and Aaron Calvert, both of Elkhart, Ind.; a daughter, Desiree Bennett of Mishawaka; two sisters, Jeannie Baker and Carol Baker, both of Fredonia; and her parents, Shelby and Effie Paris of Fredonia.
A memorial service was held May 11 in Mishawaka.
Brown
PORTAGE, Ind. - Ruby Imogene Brown, 91, formerly of Marion, passed away May 13, 2006 at Millers Merry Manor.
Services were May 17 at Gilbert Funeral Home with burial in Mexico Cemetery.
Surviving are a daughter, Doris Miller of Portage; two sisters, Louise Duncan and Opal Martin, both of Hobart; and a grandson, Michael Miller of Jacksonville, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmer Brown; a brother; and a sister. Her parents were Gus and Gracie Asbridge Crouch.
Harris
CLAY, Ky. - Carrol Wayne "Puppy Dog" or "Chubby" Harris, 63, formerly of Marion, passed away May 13, 2006 at his home.
He was a member of George's Country Music Barn and was of Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Harris of Clay; three daughters, Tina Hartley of Henderson, Martha Rogers of Success, Mo., and Sammi Sisco of Clay; three stepsons, James Tidwell of Fredonia, John Sisco of Calvert City and Ricky Sisco of Tipton, Mo.; five stepdaughters, Martha Emery of Huggins, Mo., Jeanie Thomason of Sturgis, Frances Reynolds of Barnsley, Theresa Tidwell of Fredonia and Vicky Tidwell of Princeton; a brother, Jack Harris of Salem; two sisters, Margaret Smith of Clay and Billie Travis of Providence; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several step grandchildren and several step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Jean Harris; three brothers; and his parents, Jack and Hattie Glore Harris.
Services were May 16 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. John Emery officiating. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery in Morganfield.
Lambert
FALMOUTH, Va. - Linda Margaret Lambert, 65, passed away April 24, 2006 at her home. She was an educator in the Stafford County schools and member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Leland Lambert; two daughters, Sharon K. Davis of Ohio and Sheila L. Monahan; a son, Wiley L. Lambert of Florida; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Thomas Davis; and her parents, Wiley and Florence Stallions of Crittenden County.
Services were April 28 at Fairview Baptist Church. Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Edna Frances McEuen, 78, passed away May 7, 2006 at Crittenden Hospital.
Surviving are three daughters, Dorothy Stokes of Dycusburg, Dorothy Jean McEuen and Carrie Yandell, both of Marion; three brothers, Pete Ferrell of Paducah, Lyle Ferrell of Anna, Ill., and Ted Ferrell of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Grace Speter of Coldwater, Mich., and Opal Hawkins of Marion; and one granddaughter, Kathy Stokes of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie McEuen; three brothers; a sister; and her parents, Logan and Mary Elizabeth Myers Ferrell.
Graveside services were May 8 at Crooked Creek Cemetery with Rev. Rob Ison officiating.
Miller
Walter Lee Miller, 78, of Marion, passed away May 16, 2006 at Crittenden Hospital. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Ellis B. Ordway American Legion Post 111 and St. William Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret E. Miller of Fredonia; two daughters, Anita Hallas of Taylor, S.C., and Diana Stenshol of Santa Paula, Calif.; four stepdaughters, Staci Heppe of Fredonia, Elaine Fraim of Upland, Pa., Michelle McNure of Owosso, Mich., and Rhonda Palukaitis of Chicago; a stepson, David Sapata of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; and 20 grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m., May 20 at St. William Catholic Church with Father Larry McBride officiating. Burial will be in St. William Cemetery.
Conger
Ruth Orr Conger, 88, of Marion, passed away May 5, 2006 at Salem Springlake Health & Rehab. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Faye Conger of Marion; a sister, Rebecca Gunther of Marion; two grandchildren, Mike Conger and Missy Myers, both of Marion; two great-grandchildren, Emily Myers and Kaitlyn Myers, both of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Conger; and a son, Charles Conger.
Services were May 7 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Sister Lucy Tedrick officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Davis
Rev. J.W. Davis, 77, of Marion, passed away May 5, 2006 at Livingston Hospital.
He was a member of Glendale General Baptist Church, was an ordained minister and member of West Kentucky Association of General Baptists. He served on the Marion City Council in the 1980s, earned a real estate license and worked for Franklin Realtors. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired from Island Creek Coal Company.
Surviving are his wife, Anna Mae Davis of Marion; two daughters, Jo Anna (Charlie) Merritt of Marion and Mary (Richard) Mitchell of Paducah; three sons, Doug (Paula) Davis of Henderson, David (Jan) Davis of Smithland and Keith (Chris) Davis of Marion; a sister, Peggy Richardson of Portage, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services were May 8 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Alexander and Rev. J.W. Haire officiating. Burial was in Gilbert Funeral Home.
Johnson
SALEM, Ky. - Wilford Johnson, 76, passed away May 8, 2006 at Salem Springlake Health and Rehab. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church and a nine-year veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nora Lee Sunderland Johnson of Salem; four sisters, Ruby Shelton, Claudine Blandford and Judy Johnson, all of Owensboro, and Fran Johnson of Concho, Ariz.; two brothers, Freddie Johnson and Gary Johnson, both of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m., May 11 at Boyd Funeral Home.
Stutzman
Aaron Stutzman, 15 months old, passed away May 6, 2006 at Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville.
Services were May 10 in the Amish community with burial in the Amish cemetery.
Survivors include his parents, William and Lovina Beachy Stutzman of Marion; grandparents Jacob Stutzman and Mable Stutzman of Jackson, Ohio and Simon and Sarah Beachy of Marion; two brothers, Wilmer and Freeman Stutzman of Marion; and two sisters, Fern Edna and Regina Stutzman, also of Marion.
