Virginia “Ginnie” DeBoe, 94, of Marion, passed away Aug. 16, 2007, at Crittenden County Hospital with family at her side.
She was born January 13, 1913, in Livingston County. Her parents were William Martin and Ada Campbell Asbridge. She married
Elmer Clark Brasher. She later married
Calvin DeBoe Sr. He preceded her in death.
Survivors are one son, J.E. (Bobbie) Brasher of Marion, with whom she made her home the past eight and one-half years; a stepson, Calvin (Terry) DeBoe Jr. of Salem; three daughters, Mary Ruth (Jim) Manns of Metamora, Ill., Shirley Dean (Cecil) Springer of Sesser, Ill., and Linda Sue (Walt) Devillez of Fenton, Mo.; a granddaughter, Debbie Johnson, was one of her main caregivers. She also leaves 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson; a sister, Ruth Stone of Marion; two brothers, Freeman (Thelma Lynn) Asbridge of Valparaiso, Ind., J.C. (JoAnn) Asbridge of Marion; and eight nephews.
DeBoe’s mother and father, an infant sister, an infant son and two infant grandchildren preceded her in death.
Services were Saturday, Aug. 18 at Boyd Funeral Home in Salem with Gary Brasher and Wade Brasher officiating. Burial was at Asbridge Cemetery in Crittenden County.
Ford
Glenn H. “Spiderman” Ford, 55, of Henderson, formerly of Marion, passed away at 7:34 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville of a sudden apparent heart attack.
Ford was a retired coal miner, a third-degree Mason and was of the Mormon faith.
He is survived by a son, Glenn H. (Monica) Ford Jr., of Mattoon; two daughters, Karen (Wayne) Pryor of Providence and Stacy (Keith) Wright of Princeton; a brother, Roy Ford of Princeton; two sisters, Ruby Hensley and Georgia Ford, both of Caldwell County; 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His parents were George Henry Ford and Mary Lois Wiles Ford.
Funeral services were at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial was at Dalton Cemetery in Hopkins County.
Trail
Funeral services will be Thursday (today) for Jimmy Trail, 58, of Marion who passed away at 7:50 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 21 at Crittenden Hospital. The funeral will begin at 11 a.m., at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Jones officiating.
Burial will be at Whites Chapel Cemetery.
He is survived by three daughters, Cherie Rose, Rose Dempsey and Jimmi Michell Wallace, all of Marion; a son, Larry “Bud” Trail of Marion; two sisters, Ann Conger of Marion and Elsie Campbell of Morganfield; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Trail was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Sybil Trail, his wife, Marylyn Trail, and a son, Jimmy G. Trail Jr.
Miller
Bruce Miller, 43, of Salem passed away at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007 at Calvert City.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Miller of Salem; mother, Velma Childers of Hopkinsville; daughters, Lora Miller and Lydia Miller, both of Salem, Karen Christine Miller of Hannibel, Mo.; a sister, Amy Johnson of Hopkinsville; a brother, Mike Miller of Hopkinsville; other half brothers and sisters and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Billy Bruce Miller and one sister.
Services were Aug. 19 at Boyd Funeral Home in Salem. A burial date and place will be determined at a later date.
Kemper
Maebelle Clark Kemper, 90, passed away July 17, 2007 in Fremont, Calif. She was formerly of Marion.
She was married
to the late James Kemper, formerly of Marion, for over 50 years.
She was a member of Bridges Community Church in Fremont where she helped sew for needy children around the world and worked with the White Cross.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna (Bob) Vallier and Anita Wheeler of Oakdale, Calif.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was buried at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in California.
Rogers
Danielle Edna Rogers, seven-week-old daughter of Paul and Renee Rogers of Lola, passed away at 6:15 a.m., Aug. 11, 2007 at her residence.
Besides her parents, she is survived by three sisters, Keeta Schaibley of Tennessee, Brittany Tinsley and Ariel Tinsley, both of Lola; two brothers, Tyler Rogers of Salem and Houston Rogers of Lola; a maternal grandmother, Margaret Tinsley of Marion; paternal grandparents, Linda Rogers of Lola; paternal great-grandparents Jesse and Doris Williams of Lola; and a maternal great-grandfather, Loyd Williams of Lola.
She was preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, Dale Riley and maternal great-grandmother Ada Mae Williams.
Graveside services were scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 15 at Bethel Cemetery.
Boyd Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Walker
Marie Q. Walker, 83, of Truth or Consequences, N.M., passed away at her residence on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007.
She was a member of Fellowship Missionary Alliance Church in Truth or Consequences, past president of the Flower and Garden Club and 25-year volunteer at the Senior Center.
Services were Saturday, Aug. 11 at Boyd Funeral Home in Salem. Burial was at Hopewell Cemetery near Lola.
Survivors include daughters, Rose and Neva Walker, both of Albuquerque, N.M.; sisters, Diane Russell of Virginia Beach, Va., and Mary Griggs of Hermiston, Ore.; brothers Wayne Quertermous and William Arthur Quertermous, both of Paducah, and Robert Quertermous of Smithland; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ru James Walker; a brother, Eugene Quertermous, and two sisters.

Thomas
Barbara “Barbie” Thomas, 52, of Madison, Tenn., formerly of Morganfield, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007 at her residence. She is also a former resident of Marion.
Funeral services were Aug. 10 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield. Burial was at Odd Fellow Cemetery in Morganfield.
Survivors include a daughter, Patti Woodward of Nashville; two brothers, Mark McCullough of Henderson and Steve McCullough of Chandler, Ind.; and one grandchild.
Thomas was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Pat McCullough.
Hardin
Andrew Lee Hardin, infant child of Matthew and Amy Hardin of Marion, passed away at 1:21 a.m., Sunday, July 29, 2007 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville soon after he was born.
Survivors in addition to his parents are paternal grandparents, Gareth and Dulcie Hardin of Marion; maternal grandmother, Gail Hicks of Marion, paternal great-grandfather, Roland Lee Hardin of Salem; and maternal great-grandmother, Helen Jones of Marion.
He was preceded in death by paternal great-grandparents, Mary Gwen Hardin, and Vodie and Ann Waldrop.
A private graveside service was held Friday, Aug. 3 at Mapleview Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Garvey officiating.
Memorial donations can be made to The March of Dimes or Marion United Methodist Church.
