Funeral services for Maxie W. Hansen, 72, of Salem were Sunday at Lola Pentecostal Church in Lola with Bro. Tim Fouts officiating. Burial was at Salem Cemetery.
Hansen passed away Friday, May 25, 2007, at 10:35 a.m., at Crittenden Hospital in Marion.
Mr. Hansen was a member of the Livingston County Board of Education and had been an ordained minister for more than 50 years. He had always been actively involved in church and community events. He served as pastor at several local churches, including Dyer Hill Baptist, Birdsville Baptist and most recently Emmaus Baptist Church in Crittenden County.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Juanita Hansen of Salem; two sons, Ray (Maria) Hansen of Cleveland, Tenn., and Todd (Bonnie) Hansen of Salem; five grandchildren, Ashley, Emily and Kyle of Salem, Corrina, Jenny and Wilbur of Cleveland, Tenn., and one great-grandchild, Jennifer of Cleveland, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. J.W. Hansen and Mary Lou Hansen.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Livingston County School Board for the Max Hansen Memorial Scholarship Fund. Donations are tax deductible and can be sent to Livingston County Board of Education, PO Box 219, Salem, KY 42081.

Davis
James Riley “Cotton” Davis, 77, of Indianapolis, Ind., passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at Spring Hill Rehabilitation Center in Indianapolis. He was a native of Crittenden County and graduated from Frances High School in 1949. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Germany during the Korean conflict. He was a retiree from Midwest Steel in Portage, Ind., and he lived in Indianapolis.
Davis is survived by his son Gerald W. (Debbie) Davis; three granddaughters, Heather, Ashley and Faith; three sisters, Lona M. Kinnis of Hobart, Ind., Jane Retke of Grass Valley, Calif., and Dottie Martin of Highland, Ind.; plus numerous nieces, nephews and a special friend Kelly Miller.
He was preceded in death by his father, William H. Davis; his mother, Leah Owen Davis; a sister, Margaret Davis Cassell; and brothers, William L Davis and Delvas H. Davis.
He donated his body to the Indiana University Research Hospital In Indianapolis. He was a member of St. Vincents Catholic Church in Indianapolis. His remains will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery at Washington D.C., at a later date.
Aslinger
Angela Lynn Clowers Aslinger, 42, of Rockwood, Tenn., passed away suddenly Tuesday, May 8, 2007.
She was born Jan. 13, 1965, in Oak Ridge, Tenn. She was a 1983 graduate of Oliver Springs High School and was employed for the past nine years at the Oak Ridge Police Department as a 911 dispatcher.
Aslinger is survived by a son, Justin Aslinger of Oliver Springs, Tenn.; her mother, Phyllis Crider Clowers of Oliver Springs; a sister, Kimberly Garkovich of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; former husband, Marty Aslinger of Oliver Springs; aunts and uncles, Bill Clowers of Oliver Springs, Rosa Hillyard of Marion, Jim Crider of Paducah, Claudean Cone of Okeechobee, Fla., Lonnie Craze of Henigar, Ala., Wayne Crider of Marion, Helen Catilla of Salem, Madeline Belt of Marion, Iris Brantley of Princeton and Roger Stewart of Marion; nieces and nephews, Erik Garkovich of Knoxville, Kristen Garkovich of Oliver Springs, Alyssa Hendrix of Oak Ridge, Alex Hendrix of Oak Ridge, Autumn Burris of Oak Ridge; a great niece and nephew, Ivy Reed and Blade Reed of Oliver Springs; special friends Joy Simmons of Rockwood, Pam McCarroll of Oak Ridge, Linda Carter of Rockwood, Cathy Simmons of Oak Ridge, Robbie Ollis, Valorie Woods, Lonnie Hendrickson, Paul and Joyce Fox, Verna Phillips, all of Oliver Springs, and her co-workers at the Oak Ridge Police Department. She is also survived by several cousins and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lynn "Bobby" Clowers; by her maternal grandparents, William E. and Rose F. Crider; and by her paternal grandparents, James and Alice Clowers.
Sharp Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Funeral services were at the funeral home chapel with pastors Luke Kidwell, Robbie Leach, Garvin Walls and Steve McDonald officiating. Burial and graveside services were Friday, May 11 at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
Ruddiman
Mary Hall Ruddiman, 64, of Marion, passed away May 22, 2007, at her home. She had a Ph.D. in psychology from Vanderbilt University.
She was preceded in death by her parents, G.N. and Zelma Hall Rankin.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., May 25 at Mapleview Cemetery with Rev. John Conn officiating.

Patton
Ilez Patton, 69, of Paducah, formerly of Marion, passed away May 20, 2007, at his home.
Graveside services were held May 22 at Union Cemetery with Rev. Mary Behrens officiating. Gilbert Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are a daughter, Rene Futrell of Paducah; two sisters, Mary Jo Adams of Marion and Dorothy Schultz of Theodosia, Mo.; a granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Alberta Patton, and a brother and sister.
Woodring
Margaret Jerri Adamson Woodring, 77, of Williamston, Mich., formerly of Sturgis, passed away May 15, 2007, in Lansing, Mich.
She was born in Crittenden County and was a graduate of Sturgis High School .
Surviving are two daughters, Jeanne Lynn Weaver of Williamston and Jinger Kay DeMent of Bonita Springs, Fla.; a son, John Patton Woodring of White Lake Mich.; two sisters, Mary Katherine Certain of Sturgis and Judy Carlisle of Clay; two brothers, James Gifford Adamson of Marion and Bobbie Joe Adamson of Clay; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Lynn "Woody" Woodring. Her parents were Charles Gifford and Mary Charlene Jones Adamson.
Services were May 19 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis with Rev. Earl Reeves officiating. Burial was in White Oak Cemetery near Clay.
Gass
Monte Christopher Gass, 57, of Marion, passed away May 19, 2007, at Crittenden Hospital.
He was a retired UMWA coal miner and employee of Morganfield Elementary School.
Surviving are his parents, Harry and Frankie Gass of Marion; three daughters, Christy Sayle of Evansville, Brittany Duffy and Ashley Gass, both of Lexington; a sister, Debbie Knight of Hopkinsville; a brother, Trent Gass of Marion; and one granddaughter.
Services were May 23 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis with burial in Pythian Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Threlkeld
Martha Nell “Peevie” Threlkeld, 80, of Rosiclare, Ill., passed away May 19, 2007 at her home. She was a retired ward clerk from Hardin County General Hospital and a member of the Rosiclare First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Susan (Micky) Brown of Marion and Lori (Brady) Threlkeld of Henderson; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Threlkeld; her parents, Curtis and Mary Hammond Hardin; a daughter, Sharon; two brothers, Bill Hardin and Barkley Hardin and a sister Pauline Franks.
Services were May 21 at Hosick Funeral Home in Rosiclare. Burial was in White's Chapel Cemetery near Tolu.
Doom
Loye R. Doom, 63, of Smithland, passed away May 20, 2007, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville (see story page 8A). He was of methodist faith.
Services will be at 1 p.m., May 25 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Bryan and Rev. Willie Guess officiating. Burial will be in Cothran Cemetery.
Surviving are a daughter, Wendy Barnes of Marion; a son, Todd Doom of Burna; six brothers, Willie Doom of Ledbetter, Courtney Doom and Holland Doom, both of Smithland; Hugh Doyle Doom, Louise Doom and Teddy Doom, all of Grand Rivers; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; special friends Tammy Rohan and Cody Rohan of Smithland; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Doom; his parents, Norvin and Edria Mae Johnson Doom; and a sister, Charles Marie Timmons.
Walker
Paul Walker, 62, of Evansville passed away Sunday, May 13, 2007, at his residence.
Walker was a retired mechanic having worked for the Hazelwood Service Station in Henderson.
He is survived by a son, Chad Walker of Evansville; and a daughter, Sharon Davis of Hanson. Also surviving are one sister, Carlene Binkley of Marion; a half-sister, Anne Lynn of Marion; two brothers, Archie Walker of Houston; and Jimmy Walker of Bowling Green; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services are Friday at 11 a.m., at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Leo Perkins officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation starts at 10 a.m., Friday at the cemetery chapel.
