Robert F. Overfield, 74, of Marion, passed away March 29, 2007 at Salem Springlake Care Center. He was of Baptist faith.
Graveside services were March 31 at Owen’s Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Jim Wring officiating. Boyd Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Overfield of Marion; three stepchildren, Pam (Harry) Bilderback of Ledbetter, Marsha (David) Hawes and Steve (Cindy) Courtney, both of Paducah; a sister, Peggy Fraliex of Burna; a brother, Tommy Overfield of Calvert City; three nieces; two nephews; three sep-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Myra Dickerson Overfield.
Greer
HAMPTON, Ky. – Graveside services for John H. Greer, 82, were at White Church Cemetery March 31, 2007 with Rev. Chuck Ladd officiating.
Greer passed away March 29 at Livingston Hospital. He attended Hampton United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran, receiving a Purple Heart for service in World War II.
He is survived by two sons, Mike Greer of Hampton and Robert Greer of Burna; two daughters, Bobbie Jo Tullos of Paducah and Mary Ann Clayton of Madisonville; a sister, Mary Edith Whitledge of Madisonville; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Greer. His parents were James Harvey and Lizzie H. Vaughn Greer.
O’Nan
EDDYVILLE, Ky. – Leah Ann O’Nan, 27, passed away March 14, 2007 at Crittenden County Hospital in Marion.
A 1997 graduate of Lyon County High School, she was a member of Grand Rivers Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother, Marinia Hook of Eddyville; her father, Jon T. O’Nan of Marion; a sister, Linda Hooks of Eddyville; her maternal grandmother, Edna Earl Hook of Grand Rivers; and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Theodore Hook Jr., and her paternal grandparents, Ralph and Betty O’Nan.
Services were March 16 at Dunn’s Funeral Home of Eddyville with the Rev. Don Short officiating. Burial was in Dixon Cemetery in Grand Rivers.
Fritts
Edward Fritts, 62, of Marion, passed away April 2, 2007 at Crittenden Hospital.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Hamilton Fritts; a stepson, John Hamilton of Marion; and a niece, Linda McKinney of Marion.
Services are at 2 p.m., April 5 at Gilbert Funeral Home with burial in Mapleview Cemetery. Rev. Roger Stewart will officiate.
Oliver
NEWBURGH, Ind. – James B. “J.B.” Oliver, 88, passed away March 29, 2007 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.
He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church. and the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Owl’s Home.
He worked at Inland Container, Chrysler Corp., and retired from Peerless Pottery.
He is survived by nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Liddie Oliver; wife of 60 years, Mary (Nall) Oliver, two brothers, Ivan and Norman Oliver; and two sisters, Wanda Caddick and Willene Woodall.
Services were April 2 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel officiated by Rev. Dale Maddux with burial at Sunset Memorial Park.
Adams
SALEM, Ky. – Yvonne Adams, 49, passed away April 1, 2007 at her home.
Surviving are her husband, Terry Adams; two daughters, Heather Fox and Samantha Adams, both of Salem; and a sister, Dianne Whitley of Burna.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley P. Agent and Etta Hosick Agent; and one sister.
Rev. David Davis will officiate graveside services at Lola Cemetery April 5.
Daughtrey
HENDERSON, Ky. – Hazel R. Daughtrey, 76, formerly of Marion, passed away March 29, 2007 at Methodist Hospital. She was a member of Ambassador Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Floyd A. Daughtrey; a daughter, Vicki Linzy of Henderson; two sons, Norman E. Arflack of Frankfort and Alan Daughtrey of Henderson; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and several nieces.
Services were April 2 at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home with Rev. Donald R. Berry officiating. Burial was in Fairmont Cemetery Mausoleum.
Gipson
Services for Marie H. Gipson, 82, of Marion, were April 4, 2007 at Myers Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Cannon and Rev. Rob Ison officiated. Burial was in Freedom Cemetery.
Gipson passed away April 1 at Crittenden Health Systems. She was a member of Crooked Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Crittenden Health and Rehab.
Surviving are four daughters, Barbara Davenport and Judy Stone, both of Marion, Jetta Harris of Madisonville and Jeanie Camplin of Eddyville; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Denver C. Gipson; and two sons, Charles Gipson and Billy Wayne Gipson. Her parents were Jesse and Evelyn Sutton Hill.
Wring
SALEM, Ky. – Martha Wring, 89, passed away March 21, 2007 at Livingston Hospital. She was a member of Tyner’s Chapel Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Margaret (Charles) Fryer of Princeton, Barbara (David) Watkins of Hobart, Ind., and Patty (Loyd) Patton of Marion; a son, Bruce (Ann) Wring of Memphis; two brothers, Donald Champion of Paducah and James Champion of Marion; a sister, Dorothy McKinney of marion; nine grandchildren, Pam Bryant, Karen Radford, Rhonda Williams, Dan Hodge, David Wring, Jessica Strawn, Angela Alpha, Gaila Young and Paula James; 21 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Aubrey Wring; her second husband, Hugh Monroe; a grandson, Philip Fryar; a great-grandson, Jonathan Luke Bryant; and a brother, Douglas Champion. Her parents were E. Champion and Lucy Carter Champion.
Services were March 25, 2007 at Tyner’s Chapel Church with Rev. Gary Murray officiating. Boyd Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
O’Nan
EDDYVILLE, Ky. – Leah Ann O’Nan, 27, passed away March 21, 2007 at Crittenden County Hospital in Marion.

Drennan
Charles W. Drennan, 77, of Newburgh, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2007 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.
He was a longtime member of Gateway Baptist Church and sang with the Conquerors Quartet.
He worked in the insurance business as a salesman.
Charles was a U.S. army veteran. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Lois Drennan and Margaretta Vaughn; and brother, Winfred Lee Drennan.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dottie Drennan; a son, Michael Drennan and wife, Debbie of San Jose, Calif.; a son, Kevin Drennan; a brother, Kenneth Carlton Drennan; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents were V. L. and Alma Drennan. His son, Kevin, lives in Newburgh, Ind.
Services will be 6 p.m., March 29 at Gateway Baptist Church in Newburgh, officiated by Rev. Glenn Mollette with burial at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Marion.
