Zula F. Wesmolan, 87, of Marion, passed away Aug. 12, 2000 at Lourdes Hospital.
Funeral services were held Aug. 15 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Caldwell Springs Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Loyd of Orlando and Dottie Woodrum of Paducah; three sons, Roy Patton of Brooks, Ind., Allen Patton of Georgia, and Nolen Moore of Lovelady, Texas; two sisters, Fannie Singerhurst of Crown Point, Ind., and Pearl Lynch of Tennessee; a brother, Ralph Teer of Marion; 32 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.
Wesmolan was preceded in death by her husband, Lowery Wesmolan; a daughter, Helen Patterson; her parents, Jennie and Henry Teer; and two brothers and a sister.
Hurley
Diane Brown Hurley, 40, of Marion, passed away Aug. 4, 2000 at Lourdes Hospital at Paducah. She was a former plastics factory worker.
Surviving are her father, Mitchell Henry Brown; her mother and stepfather, Jim and Mary Louise Driver Doom of Marion; a son, Mitchell Lee Brown of Fort Bragg, N.C.; a daughter, Katrina Lynn Brown of Marion; four brothers, Everett Brown of Gilbertsville, Ronald Brown of Lockport, Ill., Daniel Brown of Romeoville, Ill., and David Brown of Milwaukee, Wis.; two sisters, Barbara Smajd of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Sheila Brown of Princeton; a half brother, Mitchell Roy Brown of Paducah; a half sister, Brenda Brown of Mayfield; two stepbrothers, Rusty Doom of Mexico and Jimbo Doom of Marion; a stepsister, Pamela Skinner of Gilbertsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Seven Springs Baptist church Aug. 7 with Rev. Lonnie Knight and Rev. Donnie Howton officiating. Burial was in Asbridge Cemetery.
Wooley
Dorothy Wooley, 38, of Marion, passed away Aug. 4, 2000 at Crittenden Hospital.
She was a member of Marion Baptist church, a veteran of the U.S. Army and the first female licensed plumber in Crittenden County.
Survivors include her husband, Randy Wooley of Marion; three daughters, Tori Wooley at home, Amanda Wooley and Jessica Wooley of Texas; two sons, Scott Wooley at home and Jonathan Shephard of Texas; her parents, James and Merle Myers of Marion; a brother, Craig Myers of Bay Town, Texas; and two sisters, Vicki King of Marion and April Burnham of Dayton, Texas.
Visitation was held Aug. 7 at Gilbert Funeral Home. A memorial service is being planned.
Hunt
Tyner Hunt, 93, of Marion, passed away Aug. 3, 2000 at Crittenden Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Sadie Hunt of Marion; two daughters, Doris Nesbitt of Marion and Shirley Griffin of Sebree; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Aug. 6 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Phillips and Rev. Nicky Davis officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery. Military rites were given at the graveside.
Mitchell
Cleo Mitchell, 88, of Burna, passed away Aug. 2, 2000 at Medco Center of Paducah.
Funeral services were held Aug. 4 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Peck officiating. Burial was in Dyer Hill Cemetery.
Surviving are a daughter, Juanita Lee of Ledbetter; two grandchildren, Steve Lee of Beaver Dam and Craig Lee of Burna; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Brenton Mitchell; and one son. Her parents were Dell and Rena Duley Robinson.
Willoughby
Nancy Willoughby, 40, of Las Vegas and formerly of Marion, passed away July 31, 2000 at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas.
She is survived by her parents Glenn and Louise Willoughby of Mexico; a brother, James Willoughby of Dixon and a nephew.
Funeral services were held Aug. 5 at Mexico Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Groff officiating. Burial was in Mexico Cemetery.
Enoch
Funeral services for Ted C. Enoch, 69, of Marion, were held Aug. 2 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Baker officiating. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery.
Enoch passed away July 31, 2000 at Western Baptist Hospital. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, June Enoch of Marion; a daughter, Lesia Enoch Wood of Springfield, Tenn.; two sons, Phillip Enoch of Robards and Robert D. Enoch of Madisonville; three stepdaughters, Saundra Newton of Louisville, Vicki Thurman of Elizabethtown and Markeata Daniels of Goldsboro, N.C.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and five step grandchildren.
Maxfield
J.H. Maxfield, 67, of Southgate, Mich., formerly of the Frances community, passed away July 27, 2000 at his home. He owned and operated D and E Truck Repair. He was a member of Christ The King Lutheran Church of Southgate.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Maxfield of Southgate; a daughter, Elaine of Southgate; a son, Michael of Southgate; a brother, Paul of Southgate; a sister, Darlene McFarland of Woodhaven, Mich.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a two brothers, Joseph Maxfield, Jr., and Archie Clinton Maxfield. His parents were Joseph and Irene Maxfield.
Funeral services were held July 29 at John Molner Funeral home of Southgate with Rev. Terry Cashmier officiating.
Foster
McGrew Pete Foster, 81, of Burna, passed away July 29, 2000 at Crittenden Hospital. He was a member of the Burna Community Fire Department and Burna American Legion Post 217. He was a veteran of World War II, an adjutant of Post 217 and a deacon of Hampton Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Geneva McClure Foster; a brother, Mantz Foster of Reidland; three nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister and his parents, Forrest and Fannie Hankins Foster.
Funeral services were held July 31 at Hampton Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Wring, Tom Moodie and Rev. John East officiating. Burial was in Hampton Cemetery.
Goodrum
Bonnie Vera Goodrum, 91, of Allen Park, Mich., formerly of Crittenden County, passed away July 26, 2000 at her home.
Surviving are a daughter, Suzanne Breisch of Vandalia, Ohio; a sister, Freddie Lamb of Paducah; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held July 31 at Sugar Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
Stalion
Mary Evelyn Stalion, 79, of Marion, passed away July 27, 2000 at Crittenden Hospital. Private funeral services were held at Gilbert Funeral Home.
Survivors include a son, Royster Neil Stalion of Sturgis; two daughters, Mary Raye Singleton of Salem and Barbara Jo Stalion of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Mae Stalion of Marion; a brother, Robert Eugene Winders of Paducah; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Royster Stalion; two sisters, a granddaughter and her parents, Grover and Violet Winders.
