Kentucky Marriage Records by County

Orr
Gladis R. Orr, 82, of Marion, passed away Feb. 16, 2007 at Crittenden Health & Rehab. She was a member of Mexico Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Charles Orr; two daughters, Charlotte Mott and Brenda Maddox, both of Marion; a sister, Mary “Peachy” Hunt of Marion; a brother, Gerald Towery of Princeton; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were Feb. 18 at Gilbert Funeral Home with burial in Mapleview Cemetery. Rev. Tim Burdon officiated.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mexico Baptist Church Building Fund, 128 Mexico Rd., Marion, KY 42064.

Penn
PADUCAH, Ky. – Teresa Penn, 44, passed away Feb. 16, 2007 at her home.
Services were Feb. 20 at Lindsey Funeral Home with burial in Deer Creek Cemetery.
Surviving are a son, Everett Lane Reed of Hopkinsville; a daughter, Cassi Bowerman of Paducah; a brother, Robert Penn of Paducah; two sisters, Melissa Whitt of Paducah and Evonnia Hardin of Marion; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Lynn Penn and Melva Rae Belt Penn.

Adolph
ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Lucille Humphrey Adolph, 68, passed away Jan. 23, 2007 at Hospice Care. She was raised in the Mexico community.
She is survived by two brothers, James and Virgil Humphrey; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Adolph; a son, Bobby Whittle; two brothers; and two sisters. Her parents were Bill and Virgie Stinnett Humphrey. Her foster parents were Charlie and Orphetta Herod.
A graveside service will be held at Mexico Cemetery at a later date.

Dodds
SMITHLAND, Ky. – Willard L. Dodds, 76, passed away Feb. 19, 2007 at Livingston Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores Dodds; two daughters, Casandra Cherry and Heather Davis, both of Smithland; a brother, Russell Dodds of Gilbertsville; two sisters, Anna Lois Dodds of Ledbetter and Gladys Dodds of Calvert City; four grandchildren; and three step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Corbet Dodds; a sister, Ida Mae Smith; and his parents, Nora and Robert Dodds.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Feb. 22 at Smith Funeral Chapel with Bro. Fred Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Cothran Cemetery.

Crabtree
EVANSVILLE, Ky. – Ernest Duane Crabtree, 76, passed away Feb. 16, 2007 at Newburg Healthcare. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a carpenter and retired after 45 years of service from the Carpenters Union Local No. 90.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Esther Crabtree; a daughter, Barbara Jeanine Scheessele of Newburgh; three sons, Ronald Crabtree of Norman, Okla., Barry Crabtree of Evansville and Timothy Crabtree of Evansville; a sister, Edna Mae Lewis of Nashville; a brother, Bill Crabtree of Slaughters; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Nicholas Sanders; and a daughter, Sabrina Josey.
Services were Feb. 19 at Alexander East Chapel with Rev. Patrick Jackson, Rev. Frank McCallum and Rev. Bill Crabtree officiating. Burial was in Alexander Park Lawn.

Cunningham
PADUCAH, Ky. – Services for Margaret Ann Cunningham, 71, formerly of Marion, were Feb. 13, 2007 at Milner and a Orr Funeral Home in Paducah. Rev. John R. Offutt officiated. Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Cunningham passed away Feb. 11 at Western Baptist Hospital. She was a native of Crittenden County who worked at CTS and Biggs Supermarket and was of Methodist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie Cunningham; a daughter, LeAnn English of Paducah; a son, Rodger Cunningham of Hopkinsville; a sister, Shirley Allen of Owensboro; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Hunt; a sister, Virginia Dunn; and a brother, Charlie Shaffer. Her parents were Ben and Ann Shaffer.

Robertson
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – James Donald Robertson, 52, formerly of Marion, passed away Feb. 6, 2007 at Duke University Medical Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed by the City of Fayetteville.
He is survived by his wife, Ramona Robertson; two sons, Kevin Robertson and Jason Robertson, both of Fayetteville; a daughter, Barbara Robertson of Fayetteville; a stepson, Bryan Kilburn of Fayetteville; his mother, Marie Robertson of Marion; five sisters, Carole Robertson, Betty Jones, Judy McDowell and Diana Hosick, all of Marion, and Martha Devine of Calvert City; a brother, Mark Robertson of Marion; and a step grandson.
Graveside services were Feb. 9 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, N.C. Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville was in charge of arrangements.

George
Services for Elizabeth R. “Bridge” George, 63, of Marion, were Feb. 3, 2007 at Boyd Funeral Home. Rev. Daniel Griffin officiated.
George passed away Jan. 31 at her home. She attended Tolu United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas H. George; a daughter, Juanita Courtright of Marion; a son, Thomas E. George of Salem; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers; a sister; and her parents, Carl Edward Pearson and Opal M. Host Pearson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lourdes Hospice, 2855 Jackson St., Paducah, KY 42001.

Cash
KINGWOOD, Texas – James Ray Cash, 77, formerly of Crittenden County, passed away Jan. 20, 2007 at his home. He was retired from Celotex Roofing Company, a member of the Masonic Lodge in Huffman, Texas and a veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Norma; two daughters, Sandy (Kevin) Kilgore and Lisa (Gerald) Guzman; two brothers, John Edd Cash of Arkansas and Garland Cash of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Louise LaRue of Salem, and Connie Perryman of Marion; and six grandchildren, all of Kingwood; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Ruby Cash; three sisters, one brother; and a granddaughter.
Funeral services were held in Humble, Texas Jan 24 and burial was in Rosewood Cemetery in Humble.

Hopkins
EVANSVILLE, Ky. – Harold “Hoppy” Clifton Hopkins, 68, passed away Feb. 3, 2007 at his home.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia Hopkins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lenoth and Elsie Taylor Hopkins.
Graveside services were Feb. 6 at IOOF Cemetery in Clay with Rev. Jerry Thurman officiating.
Myers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Koplin
Melvin Dale Koplin, 57, of Marion, formerly of Union, Ill., passed away Jan. 29, 2007 at Crittenden Hospital.
He retired in 1996 after 29 years with the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority. He was a former volunteer with the Union Fire Department, a member of the Union Legion, the Harvard Moose Lodge, Ducks Unlimited and St. John’s United Church of Christ in Union.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Gregg Koplin; a sister Sharon Bruner of Poplar Grove; and two step sisters, Charlene Slaughter of Marengo, Ill., and Jennie Kunde of Texas.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Koplin; a step brother, Eddie Schmitt; and a half brother, George Schmitt. His parents were Harvey and Eileen Crandall Koplin.
Services were Feb. 3 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2323 N. Mayfair Rd., Suite 502, Wauwatosa, WI 54326.
