Christine Brantley, 85, of Marion, passed away Feb. 4, 2007. She was a member of Repton Baptist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Patsy Rontondo of Rochester, Mich., Carolyn Salvati of Shelby Township, Mich., Sandra Hawthorne of Marion and Dottie Cornwall of Roseville, Mich.; two sons, Jerry Brantley of Sturgis and Leonard Brantley of Marion; three sisters, Lillie Marie McGarrh of Henderson, Dot Winters of Chesterfield, Mich., and Phyllis Green of Mayfield; 20 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Henry Brantley; a son, Michael Brantley; five sisters; and four brothers. Her parents were Lily Beasley and Sam Land.
Services were Feb. 7 at Repton Baptist Church. Rev. Vic Hill and Dr. Brent Brantley officiated. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Myers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Sutton
Services for Stacy Sutton, 72, of Crittenden County, were held Jan. 30, 2007 at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville. Dr. Jerrell White officiated. Burial was in Dycusburg Cemetery.
Sutton passed away Jan. 27 at his home. He was a self-employed logger and member of Dycusburg Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Mike Sutton of Eddyville and Ricky Bowman of Dycusburg; a daughter, Angie McLavain of Marion; three brothers, Gordon “Babe” Sutton of Lyon county, Leon Sutton of Eddyville and Rex Sutton of Ashland; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five nephews; and one niece.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Buchanan Sutton; a son, Timothy Sutton. His parents were Kelly and Mable O’Daniel Sutton.
Rohrer
MT. VERNON, Ind. – Mary Margaret Rohrer, 86, formerly of Marion, passed away Jan. 23, 2007 in New Harmony, Ind.
She was a member of Marion United Methodist Church and taught for 26 years at Crittenden County High School.
She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Bachert of Mt. Vernon; a son, James Nolan Rohrer of Princeton; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Nolan Rohrer; and a brother. Her parents were Harry Myers and Katie May Johnson.
Services were Jan. 27 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Garvey officiated. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.

Robinson
Silas “Dave” Robinson, 80, of Marion, passed away Jan. 25, 2007 at Crittenden Hospital. Services were Jan. 27 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. A.C. Hodge officiating. Burial was in Deer Creek Cemetery.
He was a member of Deer Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Louise Robinson of Marion; two sons, Scott (Angie) Robinson and Dave “Bro” (Kim) Robinson, both of Marion; two sisters, Ruth Orr of Madill, Okla., and Ava Ketchum of Ardmore, Okla.; and three nieces, Ida Nell Dean, Rene Hodges and Denise Ivester, all of Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Evorie Robinson and his parents, John and Mae Belle Robinson.
Caraway
Emily Elizabeth Rose Caraway, infant daughter of Katie Sisco and Josh Caraway of Princeton, passed away Jan. 26, 2007 at Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville. A graveside service was held Jan. 30 at Deer Creek Cemetery with Bro. Lester Watson officiating.
Additional survivors include maternal grandparents Janet Sisco of Paducah and David Belt of Marion; and paternal grandparents Karen and Perry Caraway of Princeton.
Boyd Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Conway
FREDONIA, Ky. – Henry Conway, 76, passed away Jan. 25, 2007 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
He was a retired school bus driver and member of First Baptist Church in Fredonia and the Frances Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Martin Conway; three sons, Todd Conway of Smiths Grove and Tim Conway and Tony Conway, both of Fredonia; two brothers, Joe Conway and Don Conway, both of Fredonia; a sister, Carolyn Riley of Fredonia; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were Jan. 28 at Morgans Funeral Home in Princeton with Dr. Jerrell White officiating. Burial was in New Bethel Cemetery in Lyon County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William B. and Sara Louise Rice Conway.

Wring
BARDSTOWN, Ky. – Services for Ruby Rhea Davidson Wring, 92, formerly of Salem, were held Jan. 28, 2007 at Tyner’s Chapel Church. Rev. Mark Combs officiated. Burial was in Tyners Chapel Cemetery.
Wring passed away Jan. 26 at Colonial Health and Rehab in Bardstown.
Surviving are two daughters, Jill Dennison and JoAnn Logan, both of Bardstown; a brother, Kenneth Davidson of Memphis; a sister, Velda Drake of Marion; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Wring; two brothers, Jack Davidson and Russell Davidson; and a sister, Muriel Showalter. Her parents were Roy and Vie Davidson.

Phillips
CLINTON, Ky. – James H. Phillips, 92, formerly of Tolu, passed away Jan. 6 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center in Dyersburg, Tenn.
He was a retired Hickman County High School principal and member of the athletic halls of fame at Crittenden County High School, Murray State University and the Kentucky High School Athletic Association, having been inducted into the latter in 1992. He lettered in basketball at Murray from 1934 to 1936.
He was a member of Clinton First Methodist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Vicky P. Taylor of Dyersburg, Tenn.; two granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Effie Kimbell Phillips; a sister; and a brother. His parents were James William Phillips and Katherine Hammond Phillips.
Services were Jan. 8 at Brown Funeral Home of Clinton with the Rev. Aaron Dowdy officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.

Hackney
Charles E. Hackney, 73, of Marion, passed away Jan. 27, 2007.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Hackney; five sons, Dean Hackney of Ledbetter, Ronnie Hackney of Smithland, and Clark Hackney, Eddie Hackney and Joey Hackney, all of Marion; five daughters, Sharon Tinsley of Salem, Penny Garrett of Morganfield, Diann Shuecraft, Donita James and Jeanette Doom, all of Marion; six sisters, Betty Hunter, Gracie Stone, Irene Lynch, Phylis Hodge and Pauline Moreland, all of Marion and Reba Riley of Burna; a brother, J.D. Hackney of Marion; 31 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Allen Hackney. His parents were Luke and Mae Hackney.
Services were Jan. 31 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Sister Lucy Tedrick officiated. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Coleman
PHOENIX, Ariz. – Services for John William Coleman, 78, will be at 1 p.m., Feb. 3, 2007 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery.
Coleman was born and raised in Crittenden County and moved to Phoenix in 1957. The couple returned to Morganfield in 1981. He was a longtime employee of Dunaway’s Pharmacy in Henderson. In 2006, Coleman and his wife Betty moved to Phoenix to be near their son.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Betty Jo Davidson Coleman; two sons, Charles Coleman of Arizona and Larry Coleman of Missouri; a daughter, Sherri Brunner of Texas; a sister, Linda Welborn of Madisonville; a brother, Bobby Coleman of Paducah; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Anderson; a granddaughter, Michelle Brown; a great-grandson, Kamdyn Caton; and a brother, Jimmy Coleman.
