Kiah Robert "Ki Rock" Winstead, 80, of Madisonville, passed away Oct. 17, 2000. He was owner and operator of Ki Rocks Barbecue for more than 40 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Madisonville.
Surviving are his wife, Casey Wardlaw Winstead of Madisonville; four daughters, Debbie Johnson of Swansea, Ill., Addison Welp of Alexandria, Melody Gibson and Carrie Slaton, both of Madisonville; a son, Kiah Winstead of Madisonville; a sister, Grace Helm of Madisonville; a brother, Howard Winstead of Madisonville; eight grandchildren; one great-grandmother; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at The Chapel of Harris Funeral Home Oct. 19. Burial will be in Homesite Cemetery near Stony Point.
Stalion
Norbit "Rat" Stalion, 79, of Marion passed away Oct. 17, 2000 at Crittenden Hospital. He was a member of Glendale General Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Mae Stalion of Marion; a brother, Dick Stalion of Leesburg, Fla.; two sisters, Glenda Shaffin of Evansville and Dorothy Finnegan of Connecticut.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.
Funeral services will be held Oct. 20 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. David Davis and Rev. Jimmy Porter officiating. Burial will be in Love Cemetery.
Pope
Emma Jessie Pope, 96, of Salem, passed away Oct. 15, 2000 at Salem Springlake Care Center.
Funeral services were held Oct. 18 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Rice officiating. Burial was in Old Salem Cemetery.
Surviving are a daughter, Jessie Taylor of Salem; two sons, L.C. Pope of Salem and Charles Pope of Lone Oak; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Pope; a step grandson; three sisters; and two brothers. Her parents were Charlie and Belle Ramage.
Crawford
Sibyl Crawford 85, of Marion, passed away Oct. 14, 2000 at Riversbend Retirement Community. She was a member of Union General Baptist Church and the Marion Chapter #135 Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are her daughter, Patsy Hearell of Marion; a granddaughter, Patta Zacek of Hebron, Ind.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clemens Crawford; an infant sister; and her parents, Jim and Pearl Watson Kimsey.
Funeral services were held Oct. 18 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. David Davis officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery.
James
Funeral services for Barbara Lillian James, 64, of Salem, were held Oct. 17, 2000 at Tyners Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Cortis Hill officiated. Burial was in Tyners Chapel Cemetery.
James passed away Oct. 14, 2000 at Livingston County Hospital. She was a member of Loveless Chapel Church.
Survivors include her husband, Gilbert James of Salem; four sons, Kenny James, Greg James, Bobby James and Jamie James, all of Salem; two grandchildren, Jessica James and Lindsey James, both of Salem; five brothers, Danny Guess of Sturgis, Daryl Guess of Hobart, Ind., Linford Guess, Dale Guess and Glenn Guess, all of Salem; three sisters, Thelma Kirk and Audrey Croft of Salem and Nelda Sisco of Paducah.
She was preceded in death by a son, Roger James; a sister, Hazel Guess; a brother, Frankie Guess; and her parents, Eugene and LaVerne Guess.
Lawson
Edward Bittle Lawson, 89, of Lola, passed away Oct. 14, 2000 at Salem Springlake Care Center.
Surviving are his daughter, Jacquie Williams of Salem; two sons, Edward Lawson of Chicago and Michael Lawson of Hampton; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Lawson was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Lawson; a grandson; and his parents, John and Alice Sullivan Lawson.
Funeral services were held Oct. 17 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery.
Johnson
Anna Lois Johnson, 61, of Marion, passed away Oct. 13, 2000 at Livingston Hospital.
Surviving are her husband, Willie R. Johnson of Marion; a daughter, Kim Collyer of Marion; two sons, Mike Johnson of Mt. Vernon, Ill., and Mitch Johnson of Marion; two sisters, Mary Ruth Hardin of Salem and Betty Sue Welsh of Salem; two brothers, Franklin Haney of Burna and Billy Haney of Salem; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Nettie May Hardin, and her parents, Frank and Maggie Berdine Haney.
Funeral services were held Oct. 16 at Boyd Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery.
Reader
Joel Franklin Reader, 56, of Clay, passed away Oct. 13, 2000 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. He was a truck driver for Wright Trucking of Clay. He was a member of Sugar Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Carolyn Reader of Clay; a daughter, Michelle Hackney of Marion; two sons, Mickey Reader of Louisville and Dennis Reader of Madisonville; three sisters, Sarah Pryor of Louisville, Mary Warren of Elizabethtown and Lois Mullins of Greenville, Ind.; two brothers, Lowell Thomas Reader and Dale Hamilton Reader, both of Louisville; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Oct. 16 at Sugar Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Frank McCallum and Rev. Ron Austin officiating.

Turley
Roberta Lois Walker Turley, 79, of Rosiclare, Ill., passed away Oct. 22, 2000 at her home. She was retired from Hardin County General Hospital after 34 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen Collier of Springfield, Ill.; a son, Ed Turley of Plymouth, Mich.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Turley; a brother, Ray Walker; two sisters, Mary Lou Walker and Grace Tinsley; and her parents, Henry and Bertie Butler Walker.
Funeral services were held Oct.. 25 at Hosick Funeral Chapel in Rosiclare, Ill. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery in Marion.

Hendrix
Bruce Hendrix, 53, of Greenville, passed away Oct. 21, 2000 at Crittenden Hospital. He was active in Jernigan's Chapel United Methodist Church, where he was a song leader, Sunday school teacher and superintendent. He was the agency manager at Muhlenberg County Farm Bureau.
Surviving are his wife of 13 years, Brona Hendrix of Greenville; two sons, Clain Ryan Hendrix of Lexington and Clint Wade Hendrix of Oxford, Ohio; a daughter, Emily Kay Hendrix of Lexington; two brothers, Carol Hendrix of Marion and Darrell Hendrix of Clay; and a sister, Joy Wesmoland of Marion.
Funeral services were held Oct. 24 at Gary's Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery.
Herrin
Funeral services for Charles S. Herrin, 74, of Evansville, passed away Oct. 17, 2000 in a car accident. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church where he was a deacon and active in Sunday school work. He was employed by Oak Hill Pharmacy and had retired after 33 years with Whirlpool Corp.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Adele B. Herrin of Evansville; two sons, Roger Herrin of Evansville and Rick Herrin of Nashville; a step daughter, Pam Heseman of Evansville; a step son, Dan Armstrong of Evansville; two sisters, Faye Nelson and Frances McConnell, both of Evansville; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Oct. 20 at Grace Baptist Church in Evansville with Rev. Tom Savage and Rev. Darrell Clarke officiating.
