Kentucky Marriage Records by County

Weldon
Robert Weldon, 72, of Evansville, Ind. passed away May 22, 1999 at his home.

Weldon was a retired sheet metal worker and Union Steward for George Koch and Sons. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2953, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Weldon; two daughters, Vickie Hobdy of Chandler, Ind. and Teresa Brown of Evansville; three sons, Robert Weldon of Evansville, Mark Weldon of Maryland and Anthony Weldon of Evansville; a sister, Elba Monroe of Lexington; a brother, Eugene Weldon of San Marino, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held May 26 at Boone Funeral Home in Evansville with Rev. Lester Howard officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Watson
Hilda Watson, 75, of Cedar Lake, Ind., passed away May 25, 1999 at her home.

She is survived by five daughters, Pam Tharp of Lola, Robin Watson of Lake County, Ind., Donna Hofman of Lemont, Ill., Darlene Watson of Wheatfield, Ind., and Patricia Watson of Cedar Lake, Ind.; a brother, Walter Heidinger; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Watson was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Watson.

Services will be held Thursday, May 27 at Boyd Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Watson officiating. Burial will be in Watson Cemetery.

Williams
Services for Bertie Williams, 83, of Lola were held May 26, 1999 at Boyd Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jim Bellamy officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.

Williams passed away May 24 at her home.

She is survived by two sons, Jessie Williams of Lola and Harold Williams of Carrsville; three daughters, Marie Dinwiddie of Clairmont, Fla., Linda Rodgers of Lola, and Lucille Watson, Lola; three stepchildren, Lucille Watson of Lola; Bob Williams of Lola and Anna Monroe of Chicago, Ill.; 19 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Williams; a son; a stepson; a granddaughter; and a sister.

Jones
Edna Mae Jones, 78, of Marion passed away May 15, 1999 at her son's home in Eddyville.

She is survived by three sons, Deon Jones of Lola, Tommy Jones of Marion and Dwight Jones of Eddyville; five sisters, Bibs Jennings and Betty Williams of Herrin, Ill., Sue Croft of Paducah, Lois Belt and Kathy Roberts of Marion; two brothers, Ollie Jessie Curry of Marion, Ill., and Bill Curry of Orlando, Fla.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.

Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Jones; a son, Bobby Joe Jones; and her parents, Lamar and Jesse Curry.

Services were held May 18 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Whites Chapel Cemetery.

Lowery
Gladys Lee Lowery, 89, formerly of Tolu, passed away May 7, 1999 in Albuquerque, N.M.

Lowery received a teaching certificate from Western Kentucky State Teacher's College in Bowling Green and taught in rural Crittenden County Schools near Tolu.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Koetting of New Mexico; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law and their families, Guy Lowery of Marion and Ollie "Pete" Lowery of Tolu.

Lowery was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Wood Lowery; and a brother, William Eugene Tackwell.

Burial will be in Whites Chapel Cemetery.

LaRue
Grace LaRue, 92, of Salem passed away May 3, 1999 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center.

She was a graduate of Murray State University and a retired school teacher. She was also a member of Salem Baptist Church.

LaRue is survived by a brother, George Rogers of Lyon County; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace LaRue; two brothers; and her parents, Frank and Rene Rogers.

Services were held May 6 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Jerrell White officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery.

Eberle
Services for Lillie Mae Eberle, 81, of Marion were held Dec. 24, 1999 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery.

Eberle passed away Dec. 22 at Caldwell County Hospital.

She is survived by six daughters, Melva Doane of Burna, Sue Dorris, Lue Watson and Pat Collins, all of Marion, Margaret Eberle of Princeton and Anna Belle Latham of Bremen; three sons, Bob Eberle of Burna, Bill Eberle of Marion and Arthur Eberle of Greenbrier, Ark.; a sister, Bobbie Patterson of Monroe, Mich.; two brothers, Albert Butler of Monroe and John Butler of Eddyville; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Merritt Eberle and Grady Eberle; and a grandson, Bill Eberle.

Williams
Ruth Ann Williams, 53, of Marion passed away Dec. 23, 1999 at her home.

She is survived by a son, Carlton Worley of Marion; a sister, Robbie Hardin of Westerville, Ind.; a brother, Paul Stalions of Joy; and a grandson, David Worley of Marion.

She was preceded in death by three hubands, Wayne Worley, James Paris and J.C. Williams.

Services were held Dec. 27 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Herbert Alexander officiating. Burial was in Deer Creek Cemetery.

Pickens
Royce Pickens, 71, of Marion passed away Dec. 21, 1999 at Crittenden Hospital.

She was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Pickens is survived by three sisters, Louise Cochran and Katheryn Lemon, both of Hamilton, Ohio and Elizabeth King of Fenton, Mo.; two brothers, Jim Pickens of Hazelwood, Mo. and John Pickens of Canton, Miss.; a niece, Nora Metheny of Marion along with several other nieces and nephews.

Services were held Dec. 23 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Fayard officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.

Kirk
Alva Kirk, 81, of Burna, passed away Dec. 20, 1999 at Salem Springlake Care Center. She was a member of Old Salem Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Connie James of Burna; a son, Robert Kirk of Burna; five sisters, Linnie Wayland of Deming, NM, Ruth Shepard of Paducah, Nina Ramey of Colorado Springs, Colo., Bonnie Phillips of Burna and Patsy Guymon of St. Louis, Mo.; a brother, Laymon Alsobrook of Deming, NM; two grandchildren; one step grandson and two step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard B. Kirk and her parents, Edgar and Martha Bateman Alsobrook.

Funeral services were held Dec. 22 at Old Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Thurman officiating. Burial was in Old Salem Cemetery.
