A memorial service for Perry D. Rogers, 67, formerly of the Mexico community and Marion, will be held at 1 p.m., Jan. 6 at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Bernard Watson will officiate. Interment will follow at the Mexico Baptist Church Cemetery.
Rogers passed away Dec. 28, 2000 in Weatherford, Texas.
Born in Fredonia to Cavit and Veda Teer Rogers, he was a veteran of the Korean War and had served in the military in Japan, Germany, Belgian Congo and various assignments in the U.S. After leaving the military, Rogers worked for the Midland-Ross Corporation and he lived in Henry County, Tennessee until moving to Denton, Texas.
Rogers is a former AMVETS 4th District Commander and served on the Executive Board of Post 45 (Henry County, Tenn.) for 12 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Rogers Newton of Jacksboro, Texas; a son, Douglas R. Rogers of Foster City, Calif.; two sisters, Wanda Rogers of Penrose, Colo., and Patricia Rogers Marr of Aurora, Colo.; three brothers, Raymond Rogers of Godfrey, Ill., John Edd Rogers of Manassas, Va., and Leon Rogers of Memphis, Tenn.; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalyn Edith Fiveash Rogers.
Arrangements were handled by Gilbert Funeral Home.
Fox
Dorsey Matlock Fox, 58, of Mayfield, passed away Dec. 29, 2000 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen S. Colley of Mayfield and Glenda J. Fox of Livingston, La.; a son, Chad M. Fox of Murray; two brothers, Bobby R. Fox of Evansville and William Earl Fox of Marion; and four great-grandchildren.
Fox was preceded in death by parents Reese and Velda Fox.
Funeral services were held Dec. 30 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Sister Lucy Tedrick officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Stump
Kathy Sue Stump, 40, of Marion, passed away April 23, 2001 at her home.
She is survived by her husband, Dallas Stump of Marion; four daughters, Rebecca Armstrong, Heather Armstrong, Katrina Armstrong and Kelly Armstrong, all of Marion; two sons, Brian Anthony Armstrong and Christopher Dallas Stump, both of Marion; her mother, Mary Jo Thomas of Jeffersonville, Ind.; four sisters, Mary Nolan of Sellersburg, Ind., Patty Browning of Louisville, Angela Brown of Nashville and Judy Sapp of Jeffersonville; a brother, James Thomas, Jr.; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held April 25 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Mickey Myers officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Knight
Martha Elizabeth Knight, 80, of Kuttawa, passed away April 18, 2001 at Caldwell County Hospital.
Funeral services were held April 21 at Macedonia Baptist Church in Lyon County with Rev. Eugene Wyatt and Rev. Lonnie Knight officiating. Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery.
Knight was a homemaker and member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Harold Knight of Lyon County; a daughter, Sue Peek of Crittenden County; a sister, Ida Lou McKinney of Evansville; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Polk; and her parents, Henry Polk and Bertha Nelson Polk.
Tabor
Donald Gene Tabor, 57, of Marion, passed away April 24, 2001 at Crittenden Hospital. He was a member of Mexico Baptist Church and Dycusburg Masonic Lodge No. 232. He was retired from SKW Metal and Alloys in Calvert City and was a Crittenden County Magistrate from 1986-2001.
Funeral services were held at April 27 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Groff and Rev. John East officiating. Burial was in Caldwell Springs Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Tina "Athena" Tabor of Marion; a daughter, Natalie Tabor Peek of Kuttawa; a stepdaughter, Athena Perry Hutchison of Fulton County; a stepson, Donald Earl Perry of Marion; his mother, Imogene Tabor of Marion; two sisters, Louise Doom of Eddyville and Linda Tabor of Marion; and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his father, Presley N. Tabor, and a brother, Denver Tabor.

Woodside
Graveside services for Homer "Everett" Woodside, 81, of Marion, were held April 13 at Ashland Cemetery in Ashland. Gilbert Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He passed away April 11, 2001 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center.
Surviving are a brother, Harold Woodside of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Woodside.
Swager
Robert L. Swager, 73, of Murray, passed away April 15, 2001 at Murray-Calloway County Hospital. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 200 and retired from the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia; his mother, Amelia Swager of Malvern, Pa.; a son, Steve Swager of Nashville; two daughters, Diana Hutchings of Richmond, Va., and Karen Shupe of Farmington; a sister, Priscilla Kuehn of Malvern, Pa., and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Gilbert Funeral Home April 18 with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Franklin
Dorothy Franklin, 81, of Marion, passed away April 16, 2001 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center.
Survivors include her sister, Louise F. Biggs of Marion; a niece, Nancy Brewer of Atlanta; and a nephew, Gary Biggs of Louisville.
Her parents were William Hobart and Daisy Franklin.
Funeral services were held at Gilbert Funeral Home April 18 with Rev. Wayne Garvey officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Hamilton
Robbie Geneva Hamilton, 79, of Marion, passed away April 16, 2001 at Crittenden Hospital.
Surviving are a daughter, Jeannie Hamilton of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clavis Hamilton.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., April 19 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial is in Mapleview Cemetery.
Arflack
William Ray Arflack, 52, of Knoxville, passed away April 15, 2001. Arflack was a 1967 graduate of Crittenden County High School, a member of Marion Baptist Church and a graduate of Murray State University.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1971-1978 and worked for the Knoxville-Knox County Community Action Committee and later worked at Oak Ridge Associated Universities.
Arflack is survived by his wife of 21 years, Nancy; his parents, William E. and Willa Belle Arflack of Marion; a brother, Donald G. Arflack of Marion; and a sister, Mary Jo Arflack of Louisville.
A memorial service was held at Highland Memorial Funeral Home in Knoxville April 18 with burial in the Highland Memorial Park Garden of Gethsemane.
