Opal Ailene Croft, 82, of Salem, passed away Dec. 11, 2001 at Crittenden Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Dec. 13 at New Union Baptist Church with Rev. David Davis and Rev. Arthur Austin Jr., officiating. Burial will be in New Union Cemetery.
Surviving are a daughter, Hazel Croft of Salem; a son, Perry Croft of Salem; two sisters, Wilma Gilland and Leva Collins, both of Salem; a brother, Allen Hosick of Benton; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C.W. Croft; a brother; a sister; and her parents, George and Janie Millikan Hosick.
Belt
Glendell Belt, 64, of Salem, passed away Dec. 11, 2001 at Western Baptist Hospital.
Arrangements were incomplete at Boyd Funeral Home in Salem.
Oliver
Bill B. Oliver, 52, of Machesney Park, Ill., passed away Dec. 2, 2001 at his home. He was born in Marion and lived in Rockford 35 years.
He was employed in automobile sales for 28 years, most recently by Webb Boys in Harvard, Ill. He was previously employed by Humphrey Cadillac and Olds and Rockford River Ford for many years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was active in fund raising for the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation and the Illinois Parents Association.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Oliver of Machesney Park; a daughter, Alicia Oliver of Machesney Park; his father, Stan Oliver of Rockford; a brother, Jim Oliver of Machesney Park; two sisters, Cheryl Oliver and Tammy Oliver, both of Machesney Park and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Palestine Oliver.
Funeral services were held Dec. 7 at Christenson Funeral Home with Rev. Roland Boyce officiating. Burial was in Scandinavian Cemetery.
Woodside
Willard E. Woodside, 94, of Hudson, Fla., passed away Nov. 16, 2001 at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. He was born in Crittenden County and moved from Henderson to Florida in 1957.
He was a member of Pearl of the West F&AM, 146 Shriners Lodge, Egypt Temple and a member of Beacon Baptist Church in Hudson.
Surviving are a daughter, Robbin Stephens of Hudson; two grandchildren; two sisters, Opal Harmon of Paducah and Lorene Marvel of Louisville; and several cousins of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Anna Mae Pool Woodside. His parents were Odie and Berthe Gass Woodside. Funeral services were held at Beacon Baptist Church with burial in Grace Memorial Garden. Bell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
O'Hara
Edwina O'Hara, 76, of Marion, passed away Dec. 3, 2001 at Crittenden Hospital. She was a member of Marion United Methodist Church, a 1946 graduate of the University of Mississippi, a member of Delta Zeta Sorority and a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
She is survived by a daughter, Frances Woodring of Sturgis; two grandchildren; and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dickey O'Hara; and her parents, George and Sybil Jones.
Funeral services were held Dec. 5 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Garvey officiating. Burial will be in Kuttawa Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Kuttawa Cemetery, Box 122, Kuttawa, KY 42055.
LeFan
Sanders "Cotton" LeFan, 78, of Dycusburg, passed away Nov. 30, 2001 at Hilltop Nursing Home. He was a member of Mexico Baptist Church and retired from SKW Alloys. He was an avid horseman.
Surviving are his wife Mary LeFan of Dycusburg; three sons, Philip LeFan, Dennis LeFan and Kevin LeFan, all of Dycusburg; five grandchildren; a brother, W.C. LeFan of LaGrange; and a sister, Dorothy Dyer of Baskett, Ky.
Funeral services were held Dec. 3 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Groff officiating. Burial was in Dycusburg Cemetery.
Sutton
Ivan "Bowie" Sutton, 85, of Marion, passed away Nov. 28, 2001 at Crittenden Hospital. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Pacific Theatre.
Surviving are a stepdaughter, Vicki Harris of Marion; three step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Sutton; two brothers, Eldon Sutton and Glenn Sutton; and his parents, S.D. and Ada Sutton.
Funeral services were held Nov. 30 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Cortis Hill officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Eskew
James Michael Eskew, 57, of Marion, passed away Nov. 27, 2001 at his home.
He is survived by three brothers, John Wayne Eskew, Paul Eskew and David Eskew, all of Marion; and a sister, Barbara Eskew of Marion.
Graveside services were held Dec. 1 at Mapleview Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Winters officiating. Gilbert Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Dixon
Evelyn Dixon, 74, of Marion, passed away Nov. 27, 2001 at Western Baptist Hospital.
She is survived by several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Liss and Ruth Ann Thomas.
Funeral services were held Nov. 30 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial was in White's Chapel Cemetery.

Mildred T. Lilly, 97, of Shelbyville, Tenn., formerly of Marion, passed away Dec. 3, 2001. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Dec. 7 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Darryl Croft officiating. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery.
She is survived by seven daughters, Jane Corley of Shelbyville, Ann Hollister of South Boston, Va., Joel Johnson of Alexandria, Va., Joyce Spencer of San Diego, Calif., Rosa Cage of Santa Anna, Calif., Peggy Chandler of Georgetown, Ohio and Donna Marcus of Miami, Ohio; two sons, William Lilly of Columbus, Ohio and Danny Lilly of Bay Point, Calif; 24 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Lindsey
Warner N. Lindsey, 83, of Fredonia, passed away Dec. 3, 2001 at Hilltop Nursing Home. He was a member of Frances Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Joy Knight of Dycusburg; two sons, Ricky Lindsey and Larry Lindsey, both of Dycusburg; two sisters, Louise Boyd of Marion and Hazel King of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Lindsey; and a son, Johnny Lindsey.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Dec. 6 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Wyatt officiating. Burial will be in Dycusburg Cemetery.
