Kentucky Marriage Records by County

Metcalfe
George Metcalfe, 84, of Marion, passed away Nov. 9, 2001 at his home.

Funeral services were held Nov. 13 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Crowell Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Metcalfe of Marion; a daughter, Ruth Knight of Marion; a sister, Lucy Hauser of Oakland, Md.; and six grandchildren all of Marion; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; three step great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Walton
Henry Eugene Walton, 37, of Marion, passed away Nov. 10, 2001 in Sacramento, Calif. Cause of death is under investigation by the Sacramento, Calif., Coroners Office.

Funeral services were held Nov. 17 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Hurricane Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Walton of Marion; a son, Jason Walton of Marion; a daughter, Rebecca Walton of Marion; his mother, Catherine Walton of Marion; two brothers, Roger Dale Walton of Paducah and Andy lee Walton of Marion; a sister, Betty Louise Stone of Marion and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Andy Walton, and a brother, Luther Walton.

Bradford
Sally Belle Bradford, 68, of Dawson Springs, passed away Nov. 19, 2001 at her home.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Bradford of Dawson Springs; three sons, Ron Norman of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Greg Norman of Munster, Ind., Jeff Norman of Crown Point, Ind.; three sisters, Kathryn Gilbert, Pearl Gilbert and Mary Lou Watson, all of Evansville; a brother, James Hunter of Hammond, Ind.; three grandsons; and several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Avery Hunter and Rosa Chandler Hunter; two sisters, Wanda Hunter and Annie Hunter; and a brother, Odell Hunter.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Nov. 23 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.

Woolridge
Dr. Elizabeth Woolridge, 93, of Salem, passed away Nov. 11, 2001 in Tulsa, Okla. Graveside services were held at Salem Cemetery Nov. 15 with Rev. Cortis Hill officiating.

Woolridge graduated from Salem High School and Murray State Teacher's College. She taught English at Salem High School for several years and retired as a professor of mathematics at North Alabama University in Florence, Ala.

She is survived by a son, David Woolridge of Tulsa; a brother, Charles Taylor of Salem; a nephew; and two great-nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Manse Woolridge; a brother, Frank Parke Taylor, Jr.; and her parents, Frank Taylor and Lillie Hord Taylor.

Runyon
Donald Ray Runyon, Sr., 57, of Glasgow, passed away Nov. 20, 2001 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital.

Runyon was a truck driver and a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Portlock Runyon of Glasgow; three sons, Lloyd Edward Runyon of Elizabethtown, Elvis Leon Runyon of Corydon, Ind., and Roger Dale Runyon of LaGrange; two daughters, Ruth Ann Hall of LaGrange and Linda Gail Hughes of Elizabethtown; a stepdaughter, Sara Jeannette Walker of Glasgow; two stepsons, Steven Tyrone Carter of Marion and William Gregory Carter of Bardstown; three brothers, Ernest Runyon, Tommy Runyon and David Runyon, all of Glasgow; and nine grandchildren;

He was preceded in death by his parents, the late James Edward and Dorothy Vance Runyon; a son, Donald Ray Runyon, Jr.; and a brother, Larry Runyon.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Nov. 24 at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.

Belt
Olivia Evon Belt, 7, of Marion, passed away Nov. 10, 2001 in a horse accident on Cecil Croft Road in Crittenden County.

Funeral services were held Nov. 14 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.

Surviving are her mother Jamee Driver; step-father, Brad Driver of Marion; her father, Brent Belt of Marion; a brother, Preston Driver at home; a step-sister, Morgan Driver, at home; her grandparents, Jim and Pam Arnold of Salem, Brenda Hughes and Detra and Jerry Campbell, all of Marion; step-grandparents Tom and Mary Maxfield of Troy, Texas; and a great-grandmother, Martha Beauvallier of Salem.

The death is under investigation by the Crittenden County Coroner's Office.

Todd
Eldo Todd, 88, of Tolu, passed away Sept. 12, 2001 at Salem Springlake Care Center.

He is survived by two sons, Deon Todd and Kenneth Todd, both of Tolu; three daughters, Naoma Tinsley and Donna Perryman, both of Tolu, and Carolyn Byford of Marion; two brothers, James Todd and Bill Todd, both of Marion; three sisters, Louise Slaughter of Henderson, Marie Hunter and Carrie Agent, both of Marion; several nieces and nephews; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha "Cookie" Todd; and a son, Junior Todd.

Funeral services were held Nov. 14 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Herbert Alexander officiating. Burial was in Whites Chapel Cemetery.

Lee
Graveside services for Bonnie Marilyn Gibbs Lee, 69, of Salem, were held Nov. 14, 2001 at Pinckneyville Cemetery. Lee passed away Nov. 11 at Crittenden Hospital.

Surviving are her husband, Nolie J. Lee of Salem; a son, John Michael Lee of Florence, S.C.; a daughter, Julie Lee of Paducah; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmitt W. Gibbs and Bonnie Laska Foster Gibbs.

Boyd Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Maxfield
Hubert Elton Maxfield, 88, of Smithland, passed away Nov. 10, 2001 at Salem Springlake Care Center. Funeral services were held Nov. 13 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Grimes officiating. Burial was in McMurray Chapel Cemetery.

Survivors include a son, Clarence E. Maxfield of Smithland; a sister, Zula Maxfield Hook of Ledbetter; a brother, Dallas Maxfield of Smithland; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Helen Bragdon Maxfield; a son, Jack Maxfield; two brothers, Robert Maxfield and Carmen Maxfield; and a great-great-great grandchild. His parents were Andrew Jackson and Ora Love Maxfield.

Cook Owen
Fada Cook Owen, 89, of Paducah, passed away Nov. 9, 2001 at Life Care Center in LaCenter. She was a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church of Paducah.

Surviving are her daughter, Jeanetta Hardin of Paducah; four sons, Coy Owen Jr., of Burna, Jim Owen of Napoleon, Mich., Harold Owen of Adrian, Mich., and Thomas Beverly Owen of Paducah; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three grandchildren; four sisters; two brothers; a son-in-law; and a daughter-in-law.

Funeral services were held Nov. 11 at Boyd Funeral Home with Charles E. Tabor officiating. Burial was in Frances Cemetery.

Webb
Rev. Wilbur B. Webb, 75, of Jackson, Miss., formerly of Marion, passed away Oct. 28, 2001 in Ridgeland, Miss.

Webb, who was pastor of Schlater Baptist Church until his death, was a former pastor at Marion Baptist Church. He grew up in Mississippi, served in the U.S. Navy and joined the ministry in 1951. He held a Bachelor's Degree from Mississippi College and a Master's Degree in Psychology of Religion from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville.

He served as a pastor 51 years, 35 of which were spent in the Mississippi Delta.

Webb is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bonnie Webb of Jackson; three sons, W. Douglas Webb of Jackson, Robin T. Webb of New York City and Larry L. Webb of Atlanta; a sister, Frances Shelton of Jackson; a brother, Thompson Berry Webb, Jr., of Fayetteville, Ark.; five grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews.
