Rosalie B. Austin, a 38-year school teacher in the Hardin County, Ill., school system, passed away Oct. 14, 2001 at Eldorado Care Center in Eldorado, Ill.
Austin, 77, was a member of First Baptist Church of Cave In Rock, the Eastern Star Lodge No. 1022 in Cave In Rock and was active in the Cave In Rock Lions Club.
Survivors include her husband, Hansel Austin of Cave In Rock; a daughter, Theressa Austin of Cave In Rock; four sisters, Tracy Dyer of Plymouth, Mich., Mavis V. Angleton of Edwardsville, Ill., Bernice Austin of Elizabethtown, Ill., and Eureta DeWitt of Roseville, Calif.; and a brother, Ira T. "Spud" Blakely of Yucca, Ariz.
Funeral services were held Oct. 17 at Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home in Cave In Rock with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery.
Wardlaw
Bradley Pat Wardlaw, 70, of Marion, passed away Oct. 4, 2001 at Salem Springlake Care Center.
He was a member of Marion United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Katharine Wardlaw of Marion; three sons, Brad Wardlaw of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., Ed Buckalew of Orlando, Fla., and Robert Buckalew of Virginia Beach, Va.; a daughter, Stacey Ross of Nashville; two brothers, Bud Wardlaw and John Wardlaw, both of Marion; a sister, Casey Winstead of Madisonville; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Damron
Camron Isabell Damron, 85, of Salem, passed away Oct. 8, 2001 at Livingston Hospital.
She is survived by two daughters, Doloris Beard of Marion and Shirley Fox of Salem; two sons, Ollie Damron of Atlanta and Robert Damron of Burna.
She was preceded in death by her husband, P.Y. Damron, and her parents, John Kimsey and Cora Adams Kimsey.
Graveside services were held at Lola Cemetery with Rev. Tim Fouts officiating.
Dycus
Geneva Dycus, 93, of Marion, passed away Oct. 4, 2001 at Lourdes Hospital. Funeral services for the long-time Dycusburg resident were held Oct. 6 at Dycusburg Methodist Church with Rev. Rob Hughes officiating. Burial was in Dycusburg Cemetery. Gilbert Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Dycus was a retired school teacher from the Ross Township School System in Indiana and was a member of the Retired Teachers Associations of Kentucky and Indiana.
She was also a regular contributor of guest columns to The Crittenden Press.
Dycus was a member of the Woman's Club of Marion, the Homemakers Club and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are a daughter, Charlotte Ordway of Crayne; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Mark. Her parents were Robert and Abby Cooksey.

Stone
Harry G. "Buddy" Stone, 75, of Hebbardsville, formerly of Crittenden County, passed away Oct. 8, 2001 at St. Marys Medical Center in Evansville.
He was a retired truck driver with Rose Brothers Trucking Company; a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army; a Kentucky Colonel; and a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Bluff City.
Stone was the founder of The Stone Family gospel group.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Brown of Marion and Belinda Clement of Henderson; four sons, Steve Stone, Stacy Stone, Kevin "Doc" Stone and Tim "Boodle" Stone, all of Henderson; three brothers, Willard Stone of Marion, Gene Stone of Georgia and Charles Stone of Texas; a sister, Oma Lockridge of Texas; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Katherine Hill Stone and a son, Randy Stone.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Oct. 11 at Benton Glunt Funeral Home in Henderson with Rev. David LeNeave and Rev. Cletus Bowman officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson.

Jackson
Eliza Lucille Jackson, 90, of Smithland, passed away Oct. 2, 2001 at Salem Springlake Care Center.
She is survived by three daughters, Orla Buttrum of Simpson, Ill., Lucille Jackson of Smithland and Mary Evelyn Jackson of Hampton; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Jackson, and a son, Bobby Jackson. Her parents were Charles Richard and Lilly Mae Ferrell Barnes.
Funeral services were held Oct. 5 at Good Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Billy H. Hurley and Rev. Mike Snyder officiating. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery. Boyd Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Crider
Nenie Crider, 83, of Marion, passed away Oct. 10, 2001 at Crittenden Hospital. She was a member of Mexico Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Angie Hurst of Marion; and a granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Crider, and a sister. Her parents were Stella and Henry Simpkins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Oct. 12 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Hall officiating. Burial will be in Mexico Cemetery.
Riley
Ollie Darrel Riley, 69, of Henderson, passed away Sept. 29, 2001 at his home. He was a Mason for 40 years and was retired from Eaton Axle.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; a daughter, Kim Baumgartner of Robards; a son, Charles Riley of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; three stepsons, David Scott and Jeffrey Scott, both of Corydon, and Tracey Scott of Henderson; two brothers, Dentis Riley of Paducah and William Doy Riley of Marion; four grandchildren; three step grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Oct. 2 at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen H. Guarneros officiating. Burial was in Fiarmont Cemetery.

Smith
James Calvin Smith, 80, of Marion, passed away Sept. 29, 2001 at the V.A. Medical Center in Marion, Ill. He was a retired steel worker and member of the VFW post in Sullivan. He was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving are two daughters, Cathy Smith and Willie Smith, both of Clay; a stepdaughter, Virginia Smith of Marion; four stepsons, James E. Smith of Marion, Roger Smith of Chicago, Tim Smith and Thomas Smith, both of Clay; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Oct. 1 at Rocksprings Cemetery in Wheatcroft with Bro. Don Collins officiating. Vanover Funeral Home in Clay was in charge of arrangements.
