She was a member of Marion Baptist Church.
Rice is survived by two sons, James Wallace Rice of Brownsville, Texas and Donald Wayne Rice of Evansville, Ind.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 15 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 16 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Clarke officiating. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery.
Dickerson
Maggie Dickerson, 92, of Salem passed away Dec. 9, 1999 at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Calvert City.
She was a member of Dyer Hill Baptist Church.
Dickerson is survived by two sons, Eugene Wayne Dickerson of Paducah and Wilford Dickerson of Decatur, Ill.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ike and Prudy Mitchell; a grandson; two brothers; and four sisters.
Services were held Dec. 12 at Dyer Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Lee officiating. Burial was in Dyer Hill Cemetery.
Easley
Services for Robert Easley, 84, of Marion were held Dec. 14 at Boyd Funeral Home with Edward Bridges officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Easley passed away Dec. 11, 1999 at Crittenden Health Systems.
He is survived by two daughters, Janice Faith of Marion and Judy Watson of Rosiclaire, Ill.; six sisters, Mary Jane Rowe of Modesta, Ga., Lula Gilmore of Nashville, Tenn., Bonnie Hartley of Nashville, Wanda Ditty of Springfield, Ohio, Lucy Tedrick of Marion and Gladys DelNagro of Princeton; four brothers, Harry Easley of Princeton, Jake Easley, Willard Easley and Gleaford Easley, all of Marion; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Easley and his parents Al and Minnie Easley; four brothers; and two sisters.
Mott
Lauren Elizabeth Mott, infant daughter of Tad and Amanda Mott of Benton, was born Dec. 5, 1999 and passed away Dec. 6, 1999 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
Surviving are her parents; a twin sister, Sydney Katherine Mott, who remains in the neonatal intensive care unit at Centennial; grandparents, Rodney and Patty Alvey of Sturgis and Terry and Sue Mott of Grand Rivers; great-grandparents, Margaret Dilback of Sturgis and Raymond and Sue Alvey of Morganfield and H.T. and Rose Hall of Calvert City; and great-great-grandfather, Charles Quinn of Sturgis.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, William Dilback and great-grandparents Glenn and Louise Mott.
A private memorial service was held at her parent's home with Rev. Mark Gill officiating. Interment will be arranged at a later date. Dunn's Funeral Home in Eddyville is in charge of the arrangements.
Holloman
Loreane Holloman, 75, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., formerly of Marion passed away Dec. 12, 1999.
She was a member of Midland St. Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff.
She is survived by four sons, Elmer Holloman and Dennis Earl Holloman, both of Marion, Willie Holloman of Indiana and Billy Jo Holloman of Poplar Bluff; four daughters, Florence Keith, Shelby Fritts and Jerald Ann Curry, all of Poplar Bluff and Betty Corley of Marion; two brothers, Ernest Lemay of Tennessee and William Lemay of Florida; two sisters, Francie Lemay of California and Shirley Farley of Marion; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 15 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial was in McMican Cemetery.
Hurley
Jean Hurley, 57 of Carrsville, passed away Dec. 5, 1999 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Hurley is survived by her husband, John Hurley of Carrsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and John Gernigin of Wood River, Ill.; four grandchildren, John Gernigan, Chris Gernigan, Jeff Gernigan and Shelby Gernigan; and a sister, Freda Cummings of Dow, Ill.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen Marie Hurley.
Services were held Dec. 8 at Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Alton, Ill., with Rev. Coy Siddall officiating. Burial was in Bethany Cemetery in Godfrey, Ill.
Hughes
Anna Lee Turner Hughes, 90, of Pine Bluff, Ark., formerly of Crittenden County passed away Dec. 4, 1999 at Pathfinders Nursing Home in Pine Bluff, Ark.
She was a member of the Third Baptist Church, a retired private duty nurse and a Lady Kentucky Colonel.
Hughes is survived by a son, Billy Ray Hughes of Estel, Fla.; a daughter, Janie Wayne of Pine Bluff, Ark.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Billie Hoess, of Calumet City, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Claude Hughes.
Services were held Dec. 8 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Spurrier officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Head
Mary Head, 90, of Salem, passed away Dec. 6, 1999 at Livingston Hospital.
She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Reidland.
Head is survived by five sisters, Beulah Mae Davison of Metropolis, Ill., Mildred Woodall of St. Louis, Mo., Norma Wuster, Eloise Ablett and Frances Arnold, all of Indianapolis, Ind.; two brothers, Hayden Head of Salem and Grover Head of Burna; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleve and Marjorie Thompson Head; a sister; and two brothers.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 9 at Boyd Funeral Chapel with Rev. William Henry Davison officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Nelms
Willis M. (Bud) Nelms, 70, of Salem passed away Dec. 6, 1999 at Livingston Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Nelms of Salem; a son, W.M. (Buddy) Nelms, Jr., of Carrsville; two daughters, Cynthia Adams and Kristi Butler, both of Paducah; three sisters; one brother; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Macie Nelms; and a daughter, Marsha Lynn Nelms.
Visitation will be held after 5 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 8 at Boyd Funeral Chapel.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 9 at Boyd Funeral Chapel with Revs. Phillip Sanders and Harold Rittenberry officiating. Burial will be in Lola Cemetery.
