Wanda Jean Myers Aguilera, 56, of Jackson Township, Ind., passed away Aug. 9, 2001. She was born in Marion.
Aguilera is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Aguilera and Leanne Aguilera, both of Westville; a son, Todd Aguilera, also of Westville; two stepchildren, Frank Charles Aguilera of Lake Moor, Ill., and Tammy Lin Gleason of Palatine, Ill.; a sister, Hazel Lee Ford of Portage, Ind.; four brothers, J.D. Myers of Marion, Kenneth Myers of Paducah, Delmer Myers of Portage, Ind., and Wayne Myers of Clay.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Louis and Hazel May Hayes Myers; and a brother, William Franklin.
Funeral services were held Aug. 14 at the Open Door Baptist Church in Jackson Township. Burial was in Angelcrest Cemetery.
Hunter
Jonas Harlin Hunter, 78, of Marion, passed away Aug. 14, 2001 at Regional Medical Center at Madisonville.
Funeral services were held Aug. 17 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. David Winders and Rev. Chester Todd officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Mary "Marie" Hunter; a daughter, Mary H. Swaney of Clarksville; a son, Robert Kirk of Providence; a sister, Gladys Jarrett of Princeton; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Armstrong
Bettie G. Armstrong, 71, of Dawson Springs, formerly of Lyon County, passed away Aug. 18 at New Dawson Springs Nursing Home.
She is survived by an aunt, Shelly Ramage of McLeansboro, Owensboro, Ill.; and six cousins.
Graveside services were held Aug. 22 at Dunn Springs Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Jackson officiating. Gilbert Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Little
Funeral services for Linda L. Little, 60, of Crayne, will be held Aug. 23, 2001 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. David Davis and Rev. Keith Davis officiating.
Little, a member of Cave Springs General Baptist Church, passed away Aug. 20 at Western Baptist Hospital at Paducah.
She is survived by her husband, Bernal "Jack" Little of Crayne; two sons, Michael Little and Kevin Little, both of Crayne; a daughter, Kaye Nall of Princeton; a sister, Anna Davis of Marion; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan Henry and Mary Mae Brantley.
Chapman
Funeral services for Firdie Mae Chapman, 79, of Marion, will be held at 11 a.m., Aug. 25, 2001 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Rev. Ed Clement will officiate. Burial will be in Lewis Cemetery.
Chapman passed away Aug. 21, 2001 at Crittenden Hospital. She was a member of the C.M.E. Methodist Church of Marion and the Senior Citizens Committee. She was retired from the dietary department of Crittenden Hospital.
Surviving are four daughters, Carolyn Shack of Marion, Mary Ann Moore of Detroit, Letitia Chapman of Indianapolis and Debbie Chapman of Paducah; a brother, George E. Bruton of Indianapolis; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Daniel Chapman, and a brother, Robert Lee Bruton.
Lanham
William Marshall Lanham, 77, of Paducah, passed away Aug. 8, 2001 at Livingston Hospital. He was a member of Gospel Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the Masonic Rite of Ledbetter Lodge No. 952. He was a retired U.S. Steel employee and owner of Lanham's TV and Radio Repair.
Funeral services were held Aug. 11 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Jackie Thomas and Rev. Austin Prince officiating. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Anna Lee Lanham; two daughters, Mary Banks and Dorothy Lanham, both of Paducah; a brother, Shelby Lanham of Marion; three grandchildren; two step grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and his parents.
Manley
Funeral services for Bennie Winfred Manley, 88, of Marion, were held Aug. 11, 2001 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Phillips officiated. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Manley passed away Aug. 8, 2001 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, a former Crittenden County magistrate and a former member of the Crittenden County Board of Education.
He is survived by three sons, Jimmie R. Manley of Marion, Bobbie Dean Manley of Odessa, Fla., and Bennie Manley, Jr., of Maryville, Tenn.; two sisters, George Erma Dassel and Betty Jane Napier of Evansville; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Selma J. Manley and his parents, George H. and Ruby Gass Manley.
Penn
Funeral services for Richard Penn, 41, of Marion, were held Aug. 10, 2001 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Rollie Straton officiating. Burial was in Deer Creek Cemetery.
Penn passed away Aug. 8, 2001 at his home.
He was a member of the Marion-Crittenden County Park Board and was a major force in organizing adult recreational softball in Marion.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Penn of Marion; his mother, Pauline Fryar of Marion; two stepsons, Johnny Hackney of Marion and James Hackney of Sturgis; three stepdaughters, Kathy Fox of Murray, Pam Todd of Marion and Linda Campbell of Reidland; a brother, Timmy Penn of Marion; two sisters, Kathey Eaton of Marion and Joyce Roberts of Mississippi; nine step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Penn; a brother, Tony Penn; and a nephew, Garry Roberts.
Belt
Claude Belt, 66, of Marion, passed away Aug. 8, 2001 at Salem Springlake Care Center. He attended Hurricane Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Henshaw and Pat Tolley, both of Lola, and Cindy Johnson of Morganfield; a son, Keith Belt of Wadesville, Ind.; two brothers, Percy Belt and Ed Belt, both of Marion; two sisters, Catherine Newcom of Benton and Bernice Woodall of Evansville; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Belt; and eight brothers, Roland Belt, Phillip Belt, Winfred Belt, Charles "Snap" Belt, Miles Lee Belt, Jimmy Belt, Morris Belt and Jerry Belt.
Funeral services were held Aug. 11 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Phillips and Bro. Jimmy Porter officiating. Burial was in Hurricane Cemetery.

Hobbs
Logan "Logi" Allen Hobbs, age 2 1/2, of Vance, Ala., passed away Aug. 8, 2001 at Children's Hospital in Birmingham.
Services were held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church near Abernant, Ala., Aug. 11. Rev. Tony Boyd officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Memory Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are his parents, Connie and Rodney Hobbs of Pleasant Grove; two sisters, Heather Smith of Abernant, and Ashley Hobbs of Tuscaloosa; and a brother, Josh Smith of Abernant; a grandmother, Lillie Stripling of Abernant; and a step- grandmother, Nellie Hobbs of Tolu.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Calvin Stripling of Abernant and Henry "Doc" Hobbs of Tolu; and a grandmother, Fern S. Hobbs.
