Robert C. Christian, 81, of Sturgis, passed away July 24, 2001 at his home.
Christian was a member of Sturgis Church of Christ and owned and operated Western Auto in Sturgis for 39 years. He was a 1st Lt. during World War II, serving in the Pacific Theatre. He was a former Trigg County teacher.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Wells Christian of Sturgis; a daughter, Ann Greenwell of Marion; a stepson, Charles N. Wells of Sturgis; three grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and eight great- and stepgreat grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Berry Christian.
Funeral services will be held July 27 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis with Bro. Daniel Askew and Sam Belo officiating. Burial will be in Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of choice.
Gilmore
Douglas Henry Gilmore, 82, of Hendersonville, Tenn., passed away July 24, 2001 at Madison Healthcare in Nashville.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Lula Ellen Easley Gilmore of Hendersonville; two sons, Geoffrey Easley Gilmore and Brian Douglas Gilmore of Hendersonville; a daughter, Leigh Ellen Langley of Hendersonville; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., July 27 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Ray Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery.
Frazer
Chastain Lynn Frazer, 63, of Lexington, formerly of Marion, passed away July 14, 2001 at Central Baptist Hospital.
He was owner of Chestnut Gallery, was a former state dirctor of OEO, a Kentucky colonel and a member of the Kentucky Arts and Crafts Guild. He was aid to Gov. Louie Nunn, a former editor of The Crittenden Press in the late 1950s and an editor of the Owenton Herald. He was a member of First Christian Church of Richmond.
Surviving are his wife, Vera Belt Frazer of Lexington; a son, William Lynn Frazer of Liberty, Ind.; a daughter, Kimberly Frazer Napier of Florence, Ky.; a sister, Nanette Easley of Mayfield; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chastain and Marie Frazer; and one brother.
Funeral services were held July 17 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Garvey officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Quertermous
Funeral services for Shirley D. Quertermous, 63, of Marion, were held July 16, 2001 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Cortis Hill officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Quertermous passed away July 14 at her home.
She is survived by her husband, L.G. Quertermous of Marion; a son, Jackie Moore of Marion; a stepson, Danny Quertermous of Marion; a stepdaughter, Judy Jones of Marion; a brother, Noble Travis of Marion; six step grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Charlie Travis; a daughter, Barbara Gail Moore; a brother; and a sister.

Sullivan
Evelyn Sullivan, 72, of Marion, passed away July 11, 2001 at Livingston Hospital.
Surviving are her husband, John "Jack" Sullivan of Marion; two sons, Terry "Buck" Sullivan of Cedar Lake, Ind., and Rocky Sullivan of Rensselaer, Ind.; a daughter, Sherry Sullivan of Portage, Ind.; a brother, Ronald Goff of Morehead City, N.C.; a sister, Dixie Keck of Buffalo, Ind.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Opal Goff; a granddaughter; and a brother.
Funeral services were held July 14 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Kitchen
Erleen Kitchen, 80, of Salem, passed away July 13, 2001 at Livingston Hospital. She was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services were held July 15 at Boyd Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Rice officiating. Burial was in Pinckneyville Cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, W.C. Kitchen of Salem; a daughter, Pat Workman of Salem; two sons, Tony Kitchen of Portage, Ind., and Sam Kitchen of Hobart, Ind; two sisters, Luvena Bozeman of Marion and Juanita Johnson of Salem; a brother, Junior Asbridge of Salem; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother; a twin sister; and her parents, Arthur and Nina Campbell Asbridge Kitchen.

Dickerson
John D. Dickerson, 85, of Marion, passed away July 8, 2001 at Crittenden Hospital. He was a retired member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 181.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred Dickerson of Marion; two daughters, Sue Williams of Marion and Barbara Crump of Bluff City, Tenn.; a son, Jim Kirk of Norco, Ga.; a sister, Isabelle Dickerson; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Alice; a daughter, Martha Lester; a brother; a sister; and his parents.
Funeral services were held July 11 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. James Keeling and Rev. Jerry Thurman officiating. Burial was in Hampton Cemetery.
Adamson
Alma Jewel Adamson, 69, of Marion, passed away July 6, 2001 at her home. She attended Marion Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, James Adamson of Marion; two sons, Jim Adamson, Jr., of Northville, Mich., and Mark Adamson of Marion; a daughter, Rebecca Krzeman of Milan, Mich.; three sisters, Kay Anzalone of Florida, Jeanie Barbre of Evansville and Shirley Boorman of Longview, Texas; a brother, Edward Hendrix of Salem, Ill.; and eight grandchildren.
Her parents were Tom and Gustie Hendrix.
Funeral services were held July 10 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Clarke officiating. Burial was in White Oak Cemetery in Webster County.
Bennett
Funeral services for Tiny Bennett, 88, of Marion, were held July 9 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Clarke officiating. Burial was in Park Hill Cemetery in Columbus, Ga.
Bennett passed away July 7, 2001 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Frances Wigginton of Marion and Beverly Bunn of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Alliene Lake of Memphis; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Bennett and Ramer Dinwiddie; two sisters; and three brothers.
