Lettie Myrtle Roberts Long, 83, of Eldorado, Ill., passed away April 26 at her home. She was born in Crayne, and was retired from Florshiem Shoe Factory. She was a member of Gospel Assembly Church in Eldorado.
Funeral services were held April 29, 2001 at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with burial in Lindale Memorial Cemetery.
Surviving are a son, John Long of Bourbonnais, Ill.; two daughters, Jane Carter of Mt. Vernon, Ill., and Sue Cook of Eldorado; 12 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward M. Roberts; two children; and two great-grandchildren.
Rohan
Yvonne Rose Rohan, 63, of Smithland, passed away April 23, 2001 at Livingston Hospital. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Boyd Funeral Directors of Salem and other arrangements are incomplete by Follis and Sons in Fredricktown, Mo. Burial will be in Mount View Cemetery in Rosella, Mo.
Rohan is survived by her husband, John Wilford Rohan of Smithland; five sons, Henry Hopkins of Benton, Timmy Rohan and Bradley Rohan, both of Puxico, Mo., Tommy Rohan of Dresden, Tenn., and Jerry Rohan of Smithland; two daughters, Rosetta Ward of Thompsonville, Ill., and Tammy Rohan of Smithland; her mother, Myrtle May Crutifield Hopkins; 11 grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Henry Hopkins; a son; four brothers and a granddaughter.
Gipson
Roger Gipson, 34, of Marion, passed away April 16, 2001 at Crittenden Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., April 19 at White Oak Cemetery in Webster County with Rev. Noble Cobb officiating.
He is survived by his mother, Lucille Gipson of Marion; a son, Jeffery Braden Gipson of Eddyville; and two daughters, Alistra Gipson and Katie Gipson, both of Eddyville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jay Gipson; and a brother, Nathan Gipson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 222 Kentucky Ave., Suite 4, Paducah, KY 42003.
Woodside
Funeral services for Verble Mae Woodside, 89, of Marion, were held March 24, 2001 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Phillips and Rev. David Winders officiated. Burial was in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
Woodside passed away March 22 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center. She was a member of Cave Springs General Baptist Church.
Surviving are a brother, Roy Hazzard of Marion; a niece; and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bethel Woodside; and a brother, L.C. Hazzard.
Hall
Desmond Stanrod Hall, 77, of Kuttawa, passed away April 8, 2001 at his home. He was an artist and woodcarver and was born in Lyon County.
At the request of Hall, no funeral or graveside services were held. Lakeland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Lewis
Katherine Lewis, 81, of Clay, passed away April 6, 2001 at Regional Medical Center at Madisonville. She was a member of Oak Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Blackford.
She is survived by four daughters, Joyce Beckner of Marion, Sharon Beckner of Blackford and Phyllis Groves and Carolyn Waddell, both of Clay; two sisters, Sarah Brandt of Evansville and Georgia Wilson of Elberfeld, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lewis.
Funeral services were held April 9 at Vandover Funeral Home in Clay with burial in Blackford Cemetery.
Byard
Myrtle Grace "Mamie" Byard, 85, of Princeton, passed away April 9, 2001 at Caldwell County Hospital.
Surviving are her husband, Wallace Byard; a son, Richard W. Byard of Marion; three daughters, Zora Thomason and Betty Deboe, both of Princeton and Sarah Ann Hanvy of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Blondell Jenkins of Princeton; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, E.H. and Zora White Childress.
Funeral services were held April 10 at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Jerry Holeman officiating. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Travis
Funeral services for Mary Olene Travis, 90, of Evansville, formerly of Crittenden County, were held April 9, 2001 at Melton Funeral Home in Providence. Rev. Robert Phillips officiated with burial in Sugar Grove Cemetery in Crittenden County.
Travis passed away April 7 at East Point Health and Rehabilitation Center in Evansville.
She was a member of Blackburn Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Deloris Coulter of Mellion, Ohio; a sister, Lera Fendrich of Evansville; and a brother, Gilbert Travis of Madisonville.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Delmer Travis, Ray Travis and Albert Travis; and a sister and Carrie Herron. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Lone Travis.
Howard
Ruby Howard, 84, of Dycusburg, passed away April 7, 2001 at Caldwell County Hospital. She was a past owner and operator of Howard's Grocery in Dycusburg. She was a member of Dycusburg Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Carlon "Boots" Howard; a son, John Howard of Eddyville; a daughter, Ann Howard Stoehr of Eddyville; a brother, Raymond "Red" Marshall, Jr., of Marion; four grandchildren; a nephew; four great-grandchildren; and a great niece.
Funeral services were held April 9 at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville with Rev. Gordon Holland officiating. Burial was in Dycusburg Cemetery.
Colley
Betty J. Talley Colley, 61, of Smithland, passed away April 5, 2001 at Western Baptist Hospital. Funeral services were held April 8 at Mint Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Hurley officiating. Burial was in Leeper Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Dennis Allen Johnson of Tiline; two daughters, Judy Raye Johnson and Julia Ellis, both of Tiline; two brothers, James H. Talley and Casper G. Talley, both of Tiline; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Ray Johnson; a brother, Bobby "Jack" Talley; and her parents, John Elbert and Bessie B. Gaines Talley.
Taraldsen
Opalee Taraldsen, 74, of Youngtown, Ariz., formerly of Salem, passed away April 2, 2001 at Odyssey Hospice in Peoria, Ariz.
She was a 1943 graduate of Salem High School.
Surviving are her husband, David Taraldsen; two brothers, James Binkley of Denver and Don Binkley of Burna; four sisters, Helen Wolfington of Reidland, Doris Moffett of Evansville, Mary Lou Girardot of Glendale, Ariz. and Vanda Engler of Burna; four stepchildren, Sharon Miller, Laurie Taraldsen, Debra Taraldsen and Steve Taraldsen; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gay Yvonne Gostanzo; two sisters, Virginia Binkley and Linda Binkley; a brother, Charles Binkley; and her parents, J.C. and Sally Binkley.
Arrangements were handled by Best Funeral Home in Peoria, Ariz.
