Bobby Ray Vincent, 66, of Salem, passed away Feb. 12, 2001 at his home.
Surviving are a son, Mike Vincent of La Porte, Ind.; a daughter, Martha Cecil of La Conia, Ind.; a sister, Brenda English of Greenville; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Slaton and Ester Lee Vincent.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Feb. 15 at Boyd Funeral Home in Salem with Rev. Walzie Hosick officiating.
Kirk
Funeral services for Mary Mariah Kirk, 98, of Marion, will be held at 2 p.m., Feb. 15, 2001 at Union Baptist Church.
Rev. A.C. Hodge will officiate with burial in Union Cemetery. Boyd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Kirk is survived by a daughter, Patsy McDonald of Salem; a son, Michael Kirk of Salem; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Kirk; two sons, Leon Kirk and Jimmy Kirk; and her parents, Henry Watson and Ada Franklin Watson.
Walker
Willa Mae Walker, 76, of Tiline, passed away Feb. 4, 2001 at Oakview Nursing Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services were Feb. 7 at Boyd Funeral Home in Salem with Bro. C.C. Brasher officiating. Burial was in McMurray Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Loy of Tiline; two brothers, Dencil Hall of Tiline and J.L. Hall of Smithland; two granddaughters; several nieces and nephews.
Walker was preceded in death by her husband, H.V. Walker; her parents, Lesle and Virine Hall; and a sister, Christine Hall.
Douglass
Isabel Walker Yandell Douglass, 91, passed away Feb. 3, 2001 at Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly.
Douglass was born in Crittenden County and was a member of First Baptist Church in London, Ky.
Survivors include a son, Bruce Yandell of London; a brother, James Walker of Laverne, Calif.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, R. Vernon Yandell; her second husband, W.F. Douglass; a brother, Arlof Walker; and a sister, Ilena Walker Guess. Her parents were Charles A. and Ida Hillyard Walker.
Evans
Evelyn Williamson Evans, 79, of Marion, passed away Jan. 31, 2001 at Salem Springlake Care Center.
She was a member of the Marion chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving is a sister, Christine Fritz, of Michigan.
Funeral services were held Feb. 3 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Garvey officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Carver
Funeral services for Blanche Catherine Carver, 71, of Hampton, were held Feb. 2, 2001 at Boyd funeral Home with Rev. Jim Wring and Rev. Mike Snyder officiating. Graveside services were officiated by Rev. John Conn at Slaughters Cemetery in Slaughters, Ky.
Surviving are her husband, Raymond Carver of Hampton; a son, Rudy Carver of Smithland; a daughter, Susie Hendrix of Greenville; a sister, Ruth Levern Margulis of Hampton; a brother, Emerson Scott of Henderson; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Rudy Scott, Lambert Scott, Dura Scott and V.D. Scott.
Belt
Norman L. Belt, 67, of Marion, passed away Feb. 5, 2001 at his home. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Crayne and owner of Belt Excavating in Crayne since 1954.
Survivors include his wife of over 50 years, Clara Mae Belt; two sons, Shelby Belt of Marion and Clifford Belt of Princeton; three grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren.
His parents were Ross and Christine Belt.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Feb. 7 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Fayard, Rev. Robert Phillips and Rev. Norman Harmon officiating. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery.
Doom
Funeral services for Doyle Doom, 88, of Princeton, were held Jan. 26 at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville. Doom passed away Jan. 23, 2001 at Crittenden Hospital.
He is a native of Caldwell County and was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Princeton.
Surviving are a son, Robert Howard Doom of Atlanta; a daughter, Shirley Driskill of Princeton; a brother, Leroy Doom of Eddyville; and several nieces and nephews.
Doom was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Doom; three brothers Earl Doom, Laney Doom and Herbert Doom; a sister, Louise Brown; a half-sister, Mary Hammonds; and his parents, Charles Anderson Doom and Martha Elizabeth Walters Doom.
Stone
Edgar T. Stone, Sr., 64, of Lowell, Wisc., passed away Jan. 23, 2001 at his home.
Stone was born in Marion and moved to Chicago to work at the Union Stock Yard. He was a captain for Burns Security until 1973, and worked in Wisconsin at Green Giant Co., for 23 years. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Reeseville.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Rennback Stone of Lowell, Wisc.; four daughters, Debra Traywick of Belleville, Ill., Denise Barnes of Lebanon, Ill., Diana Manegold of Beaver Dam, Wisc., and Tonja Stone of Belleville, Ill; three sons, Edgar Stone, Jr., of Cheyenne, Wyo., Dale Stone of Beaver Dam, Wisc., and James Stone of Waterloo, Wisc.; two sisters, Lala Redd and Loma Hodge, both of Marion; a brother, Howard Stone of Marion; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Rugena Easley. His parents were Ollie and Orvelette Bebout Stone.
Funeral services were held Jan. 27 at Murray Community Funeral Home in Reeseville, Wisc.
Berry
Ed Berry, 77, of Westmont, Ill., formerly of Crittenden County, passed away Jan. 17, 2001 at his home. Funeral services were held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Westmont Jan. 19 with burial in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Hillside, Ill.
Berry was a member of the Avengers of the Bataan in World War II.
Surviving are his wife Marie; two sons, John Berry of Chicago and Kevin Berry of California; two daughters, Joan Kostal of Westmont and Patricia Berry of Waukeegan, Ill.; two sisters, Christine Hammonds of Naperville, Ill., and Jean Gurkowski of Lyons, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Ray Berry, Tom Berry, Jim Berry and Thurman Berry; three sisters, Kathryn Spicer, Pearl Berry and Lily Rose Berry; and his parents, Douglas and Rose M. Berry.
