Mildred Yandell Wilson, 77, of Baton Rouge, La., passed away Jan. 18, 2001.
Wilson was born in Marion in 1922 and lived for many years in Calvert City.
Wilson was a member of the Lifewriters group of Baton Route, and she had recently completed a volume of her reminiscences titled "As I Recall, " to be published later this year. Selections of her work can be found at www.mywilson.homestead.com.
Surviving are two sons, James W. Wilson and David Y. Wilson; a daughter, Jay Anne Wilson Jameson; three granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Wilson, also a native of Marion.
Dunkerson
Funeral services for George Willard Dunkerson, 72, of Burna, will be held Jan. 25 at Boyd Funeral Home with Randy Beals and Shoney Oliver officiating. Burial will be in Dyer Hill Cemetery.
Dunkerson, founder of Dunkerson Paving in 1968, passed away Jan. 22, 2001 at Crittenden Hospital.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Lena Wave Dunkerson of Burna; two sons Ricky Dunkerson and Barry Dunkerson, both of Burna; four sisters, Dessie Barnes of Salem Springlake Care Center, Laverne Sanders of Cleveland, Ohio, Nona Lee Davis of Joliet, Ill., and Joyce McMican of Hatfield, Ind.; a grandson and three granddaughters.
His parents were George and Nona Kanipe Dunkerson.

Davidson
Funeral services for Carson Davidson, 87, of Marion, will be 2 p.m., Jan. 19 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Rev. John Conn will officiate. Visitation will begin after 6 p.m., Thursday.
Davidson passed away Jan. 17, 2001 at Crittenden Hospital.
Davidson was a World War II veteran, serving as a medical technician. After his discharge from the U.S. Army, he returned to Marion, where for several years he was in the grocery business, including serving as manager of the local Kroger store.
In 1955, he helped organize Marion's National Guard unit, and he served the organization as its administrative technician and First Sergeant for 20 years, including duty during the Berlin Crisis and the Vietnam War.
After retiring from the Kentucky National Guard in 1974, Davidson became a licensed real estate broker and auctioneer, as well as a property appraiser for Farmers Bank and Trust Company. He was actively involved in community service, having served in the American Legion, Jaycees, Rotary Club and the Marion unit of the National Association of Federal Retired Employees.
Davidson helped to organize the local Little League baseball program and also coached in the program, as well as in Pony League and American Legion baseball. He was charter member of the Marion Country Club.
Davidson was the recipient of two Kentucky Distinguished Service Medals, two Kentucky Colonel designations, a U.S. Army Commendation Medal and the Eisenhower award for Outstanding Kentucky National Guard Unit.
Davidson was a charter member and elder of the Marion Christian Church.
Born in Scott County, Mo., the only son of Charles and Florence Davidson, Carson is survived by his wife of 62 years, the former Helen Daniel; a son, Steve Davidson, of Marion; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Swan
Clara L. Swan, 77, of Marion, passed away Jan. 11, 2001 at Livingston Hospital. Funeral services were held Jan. 13 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Swan is survived by two sons, Michael Swan of Marion and David Swan of Greenville; two daughters, Bobbie Falin of Bowling Green and Sharon Swan of Vero Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Allen Guess of Eddyville and Oliver Guess of Evansville; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Redd
Funeral services for Arnold P. Redd, 64, of Salem, were held Jan. 13, 2001 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. A.C. Hodge officiating.
Burial was in White's Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Shirley Croft Redd of Salem; three sons, James Redd of Henderson, Robert Redd of Chandler, Ind., Michael Reed of Gary, Ind.; three daughters, Cherylon Mays of Gary, Ind., Belinda Jennings of Burna, Anita Ralph of Orleans, Ind.; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Underdown and Carolyn Travis, both of Marion.
Holloman
Ila Mae Holloman, 96, of Marion, passed away Jan. 5, 2001 at Salem Springlake Care Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Lillian Fox of Marion; a son, Eugene Guess of Spokane, Wash.; five granddaughters and eight great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Wesley Holloman; two sisters and two brothers. Her parents were Gilbert and Clara Hale Brown.
Funeral services were held Jan. 7 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Bellamy and Rev. Steven Kirk officiating. Burial was in Frances Cemetery.
Smith
Funeral services for Mary Rose Smith, 71, of Nebo, were held Jan. 12, 2001 at Manitou Baptist Church in Manitou with Rev. James Jones officiating.
Burial was in Union Cemetery in Nebo.
Surviving are four sons, Boyd Smith of Marion, David Smith of Dixon, Barry Smith of Marion and Mark Smith of Dixon; five daughters, Becky Almon of Nebo, Trish Kelley of Nebo, Karen Summers of Manitou, Terri Crowell of Manitou and Lita Fox of Nebo; two sisters, Barbara Allen of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Dean McKinney of Marion; a brother, James T. "Bud" Allen of Marion; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Smith was preceded in death by her husband, James Dewey "J.D." Smith, and a sister, Rosemary Robben. Her parents were Thomas Eldon and Sarah Ethel Tyree Allen.

Driver
Roy "Sam" Driver, 87, of Kuttawa, passed away Jan. 10, 2001 at Hilltop Nursing Home in Kuttawa. He was a retired laborer from Averitt's Saw Mill in Grand Rivers, and was a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Lyon county.
Survivors include three sons, Roy Driver of Benton, James Driver of Marion and Larnie Driver of Fredonia; seven daughters, Carolyn Travis, Mary Peek, Frances Ross and Connie Browning, all of Kutawa, and Lyda Lantrip of Princeton, Edna Driver of Calvert City and Debra Smith of Tamarac, Fla.; a brother, Arney Driver of Dawson Springs; a sister, Imogene Ryan of Princeton; 21 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Driver was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Fraliex Driver; three brothers, Ollie Driver, Archie Driver and Ray Driver, a half brother, Jim Wadlington, two half sisters, Bessie and Lessie, and a great-granddaughter, Nicole Driver.
Funeral services were held Jan. 13 at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville with Rev. Wade Kennedy officiating. Burial was in Glenns Chapel Cemetery in Lyon County.
Moore
Funeral services for Robbie Moore, 80, of Marion, were held Jan. 14 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Sivells and Rev. John Benton officiating.
Moore passed away Jan. 11, 2001 at Livingston Hospital. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Princeton. Burial was in Deer Creek Cemetery.
Surviving are a daughter, Janet Dugan of Marion; two sisters, Alma Collins of Chicago and Neta McPherson of Clarinda, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
