Kentucky Marriage Records by County

Guess
Orlin Guess, 90, of Marion, passed away Nov. 16, 1999 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center. He was a member of Tolu Methodist Church.

Surviving are a brother, Virgil Guess of Louisville; and three nephews, Foster Guess of Louisville, Jim Guess of Henderson and Harry Guess of Louisville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Belle Guess.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Nov. 18 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Spurrier officiating. Burial will be in Hurricane Cemetery.

Franklin
Services for Marie Franklin, 83, of Marion were held Nov. 6, 1999 at Boyd Funeral Chapel with Revs. Herbert Alexander and Robert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Franklin passed away Nov. 4 at Crittenden County Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Herbert Franklin of Marion; a son, Larry Franklin of Salem; two sisters, Lena Belt of Marion and Lucille Fisher of Mt. Dora, Fla.; and two brothers, Crawford Bebout of Salem and Ross Bebout of Calvert City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Lou Ella Bebout.

Hardesty
James Hardesty, 76, of Evansville, Ind., passed away Nov. 6, 1999 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.

Hardesty is survived by his wife, Verna Moore Hardesty of Evansville; two sisters, Sarah Parker of Elizabethtown, Ill., and Loretta Bayne of Rosiclaire, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Cletis Hardesty; and a sister, Laverna Asbridge.

Graveside services were held Nov. 9 at Mapleview Cemetery with Dr. James T. Heady and Rev. Cortis Hill officiating.

Threlkeld
Marie Threlkeld, 84, of Tolu passed away Nov. 6, 1999 at Livingston County Hospital.

Threlkeld is survived by seven daughters, Alberta Taylor, Betty Jean Travis, Jane Patmor, Faye Riley and Cheri Peek, all of Marion and Dottie Easley and Anna Easley, both of Tolu; 25 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson (Jack) Threlkeld; two sons, Donald Wilson Threlkeld and Thomas Owen Threlkeld; and her parents James and Myrtle Dunning.

Services were held Nov. 9 at Boyd Funeral Home with Revs. Jimmy Porter and James Moreland officiating. Burial was in White's Chapel Cemetery.

Monroe
Hugh Monroe, 93, of Salem passed away Nov. 8, 1999, at Oak View Manor in Calvert City.

Monroe was a member of Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Monroe of Salem; a son, J.C. Monroe of Burna; a step son, Bruce Wring of Memphis, Tenn.; three step daughters Patty Patton of Marion, Margaret Fryar of Princeton and Barbara Watkins of Hobart, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; 17 step great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Monroe was preceded in death by his first wife, Alda Williams Monroe; his parents, Charlie and Fannie Monroe; two sons; and a daughter.

Services were held Nov. 10 at Boyd Funeral Chapel with Rev. David LeNeave officiating. Burial was in Lola Cemetery.

Hunt
Christine Hunt, 90, of Marion, passed away Nov. 10, 1999 at Crittenden County Convalescent Center.

Hunt was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Norman Belt of Marion; two grandsons, Shelby Belt of Marion and Clifford Belt of Princeton; three great-grandchildren, Shane Watters and Jared Belt, both of Marion and Jordan Belt of Princeton.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 12 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Revs. Eugene McWherter and Norman Harmon officiating. Visitation will be held after 5 p.m., Thursday. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery.

Dickerson
Claude Dickerson, 92, of Salem, passed away Oct. 28, 1999 at Livingston Hospital in Salem.

Dickerson was a member and deacon at Old Salem Baptist Church. He was a retired school teacher and was Livingston County Property Valuation Administrator for 40 years.

Survivors include his wife, Muriel Dickerson of Salem; a son, Glenn Dickerson of Burna; four daughters, Beulah Holt of Benton and Bonnie Hosick, Lesia Hunter and Charlotte Belt, all of Salem; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

His parents were Henry W. and Florence Belt Dickerson. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Funeral services were held Oct. 30 at Boyd Funeral Chapel in Salem with Rev. Jerry Thurman and Rev. Albert Robison officiating. Burial was in Old Salem Cemetery.

Roberts
William R. Roberts, 69, of Salem, passed away Oct. 24, 1999 at his son's home in Shepherdsville. He was retired from Southern Pipeline. He was a Korean War Army veteran and a member of Lola Baptist Church.

He was born in Marion on March 2, 1930 to Gobel and Salley James Roberts.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene Singleton Roberts; four children, Sheila Ellis, Angela Yurt, Robbin Lester and Greg Roberts, Sr.; two sisters, Virginia Morris and Margaret Sue Smith; three brothers, Merrill James, O.B. James and Donald James; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Roberts was preceded in death by two brothers, Vincent James and Joyce James and his parents.

Services were held Nov. 2 at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home in Shepherdsville with Bro. A.J. Bellamy officiating. Burial was in Brookland Cemetery.

Moore
Mable Louise Moore, 72, of Marion, passed away Oct. 28, 1999 at her home.

Surviving are her husband, Harold Moore; two daughters, Brenda Williams of West Paducah and Connie Harris of Marion; five sisters, Christine Brantley of Mattoon, Geneva Osborne of Mayfield, Dorothy Winters of Harrison Township, Mich., Francis McGarrah of Henderson and Phyllis Green of Mayfield; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Oct. 30 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Rev. Jim Baggett officiated. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.

Patterson
William T. "Junior" Patterson, 42, of Marion, passed away Nov. 1, 1999 at Western Baptist Hospital.

He is survived by his mother, Lilly Louise Patterson Smith of Marion; three sisters, Patty Estes of Marion, Bonnie Crawford of Paducah and Mary June Patterson of Lone Oak; two brothers, J.W. Patterson of Chandler, Ind., and Larry Patterson of Hobstat, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, William T. Patterson, Sr.

Funeral services were held Nov. 4 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
