Kentucky Marriage Records by County

Gross

Floyd Oliver Gross, 81, of Marion, passed away June 28, 2003 at Salem Springlake Care Center. He was captain of Caldwell Springs Fire Department, a member of the Masonic Lodge and was retired from Edison Electric.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Lou Gross of Marion three daughters, Mary Lou Spindler of Marion, Theresa Ruth Baker of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Barbara Lynn Driver of Fredonia; a son, William Harold Gross of Indiana; a sister, Lois Marjorie Maloney of Chicago; eight grandchildren; several foster grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held June 30 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Bro. Butch Gray and Bro. Roger Waters officiatied. Burial was in Frances Cemetery.

Marglin

SALEM, Ky. - Funeral services for Lawanda M. Marglin, 74, were held July 2 at Boyd Funeral Home. Burial was in Salem Cemetery. Rev. John East officiated.

Marglin was a member of Salem Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are her husband, Warren Marglin of Salem; two daughters, Vickie Thompson of Salem and Karen Sue Roberts of LaGrange; three sons, James Robert Marglin of Reno, Nev., Paul Wayne Marglin of Kevil and Warren Curtis Marglin of Salem; and one grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and her parents, James and Grace Teer Meredith.

McClure

Lura McClure, 94, of Marion, passed away June 27, 2003 at Livingston Hospital. She was a member of Union Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held June 30 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. A.C. Hodge officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery.

Survivors include five daughters, Paulette Conner and Edna Mae Fondaw, both of Marion, Doris Lee Holder of Ledbetter, Thelma Louise Trail of Chicago and Mary Nell Gilland of Gary, Ind.; three sons, Donald Gene McClure and Duane McClure, both of Marion, and Charles A. McClure of Chicago; 31 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robbie Lee McClure; a sister, three brothers; three half-brothers; and her parents, Andrew and Mary Elizabeth Perkins Cooper.

Tuttle

Twins Mason Ray and Harley Wayne Tuttle passed away Oct. 6, 2002 at Crittenden Hospital.

They are survived by their father, Brendan Tuttle of Hampton; their mother, Angela Ramsey of Hampton; a sister, Nevada Jo of Hampton; their grandparents, Marilee Richards of Bloomington, Ill., Steve Tuttle of Mayfield, Janet Noel of Hampton and Wayne Noel of Hampton.

Burial will be Oct. 11 at Good Hope Cemetery with Bro. Harold Rittenberry officiating. Boyd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Robinson

BURNA, Ky. ­ Robert James Robinson, 93, passed away Sept. 26, 2002 at his home. He was a retired mail carrier and farmer.

Surviving are a daughter, Louzane Robinson Wentworth of Burna; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Suzy H. Robinson; and his parents, Willis Courtney Robinson and Bessie Ann Crowley Robinson.

Funeral services were held Sept. 29 at Boyd Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Thurman and Bro. Dennis Wynn officiating. Burial was in Boyd Funeral Home.

Janes

EAST PEORIA, Ill. ­ Imogene Janes, 70, passed away Sept. 25, 2002 at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Funeral services were held Sept. 29 at Boyd Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Lola Cemetery.

Surviving are two daughters, Patty Janes of East Peoria and Kimberly McMurtry of Morton, Ill.; six sisters, Ilene Kroll of Salem, Recie Turner of East Peoria, Cleo Schnake, Dottie Taber, Juanita Wilbanks and Lucille King, all of southern Illinois; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollen M. Janes; a son, Thomas Janes; two sisters; two brothers; and her parents, Elmer and Carrie Adams Tharp.

Minner

Zoura Minner, 89, of Marion, passed away Sept. 29, 2002 at Crittenden Hospital. She was a member of Marion United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held Oct. 2 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.

Surviving are a sister, Helen C. Kemper of Tolu; five nieces; and four nephews.

Hayes

Edna Lavine Ford Hayes, 83, of Marion, passed away Sept. 28, 2002 at Crittenden Hospital. She was a member of Marion United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a son, Gale Ford of marion; a daughter, Linda Bonacci of Trumansburg, N.Y.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Oct. 21 at Mapleview Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Garvey officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Marion United Methodist Church, 112 S. College St., Marion, KY 42064.

Leslie

Funeral services for Harry Zane Leslie, 76, of Marion, were held Sept. 29, 2002 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Dr. Darrell Clarke officiated the ceremony held at Gilbert Funeral Home. Burial was in Crooked Creek Cemetery.

Leslie passed away Sept. 27, 2002 at his home.

He was a member and deacon of Marion Baptist Church for 40 years and was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Jean Leslie of Marion; three sons, Larry Leslie of Tampa, Fla., Dale Leslie of Marion and a son in Chicago; a daughter, Lynette Van Baber of Newport Ritchie, Fla.; and one granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Marion Baptist Church Family Life center, 131 E. Depot St., Marion, KY 42064.

Kuhlenschmidt

EVANSVILLE, Ind. ­ Gladys L. Kuhlenschmidt, 99, passed away Sept. 22, 2002 at Good Samaritan Home.

She and her late husband Gilbert operated a stand at "The Old Farmers Market" where they sold produce in Evansville for many years.

Kuhlenschmidt was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ and the quilters circle at the church.

Surviving are a granddaughter, Deborah Padgett of Marion; a step-grandson; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband of 52 years, Gilbert, she was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Kuhlenschmidt; a grandson Trevor Kuhlenschmidt; three brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Sept. 26 at Bethlehem United Church of Christ. Rev. Eric Stroshine will officiate. Burial will be at Bethlehem United Church of Christ Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Bethlehem United Church of Christ.

Chandler

William Leroy Chandler, 57, passed away Sept. 20, 2002 at his home. He was a member of the Laborers International Union of North America for 35 years.

Surviving are his daughter, Christy Moss of Marion; his mother, Mary Emily Chandler of Marion; a brother, Tommy Chandler of Marion; a sister, Effie Belle Dykstra of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Leroy Chandler; and a son, Billy Roy Chandler.

Funeral services were held Sept. 24 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.

Bush

Brenda Sue McCoin Bush, 51, passed away Sept. 21, 2002 at her home.

She is survived by two daughters, Regina Wynn of Marion and Tammy Kiefer of Perryville, Mo.; a sister, Earlene Belt of Bullhead City, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Boyd Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
