TOLU, Ky. Funeral services for James G. McDaniel, 80, were held Sept. 22, 2002 at Gilbert Funeral Home.
Rev. Jimmy Porter and Rev. Daniel Griffith officiated. Burial was in Whites Chapel Cemetery.
McDaniel was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He was a member of Tolu United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia McDaniel of Tolu; a daughter, Judy Hamby of Marion; a son, Mike McDaniel of Benton; a sister, Lois Fiala of Sarasota, Fla.; two brothers, Tommy McDaniel of Salem and Carter McDaniel of Cleveland; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Armstrong
Funeral services for Laken Taylor Armstrong, the stillborn daughter of Tracy and Jamie Lee Armstrong of Mraion, were held Sept. 13, 2002 at Gilbert Funeral Home.
Rev. Darrell Clarke officiated. Burial was in Love Cemetery.
In addition to her parents, the baby is survived by her paternal grandparents, Laddie and Agnes Armstrong of Marion; her maternal grandparents, Roxana Cain and James Roberts, both of Morganfield; a great-grandfather, Tony Cain of Owensboro; a sister, Jaci Leigh Courtney t home; and a brother, L.T. Armstrong, also at home.
Dickerson
DECATUR, Ill. - Wilford H. Dickerson, 68, formerly of Livingston County, passed away Sept. 9, 2002 at St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur. He was retired from Wagners Castings as an operator for more than 20 years. He attended Christmas Tree Road Baptist Church in Decatur.
Survivors include a daughter, Vivian Reed of Decatur; two sons, Rick Dickerson of Warrensburg, Ill., and Bill Dickerson of Argenta, Ill.; eight stepchildren, Avery Brooksher of Elgin, S.C., Brenda Theobald and Barbara Melton, both of Decatur, Judy Johnson of Paducah and Kathy Schott, Darlene Bradshaw and Phillip Brooksher, all of Decatur and Sgt. Michael Brooksher of Luke Air Force Base in Phoenix, Ariz.; 25 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Oralee Dickerson; his parents, Raymond Dickerson and Maggie Mitchell Dickerson; a brother; and a son.
Funeral services were held Sept. 12 at Dyer Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Jimmy Lee officiating. Burial was in Dyer Hill Cemetery.

Rudolph
SALEM, Ky. - Harry Powell Rudolph, 83, passed away Sept. 12, 2002 at Salem Springlake Care Center. He was a member of Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia Rudolph of Ledbetter; a son, Harry Rudolph of Salem; a step son, Greg Little of Ledbetter; four step daughters, Annette Maxfield of Mich., Jeanette Berry of Mich., Joyce Ramer of Ledbetter and Yelanda Woodward of Ledbetter; four sisters, Lorena Clark, Martha Watson and Ann Chambliss, all of Sturgis, and Linda Oldham of Providence; two grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 15 step great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sept. 14 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Frank McCallum and Rev. David LeNeave officiating. Burial was in Pythan Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis.
Kirk
PRINCETON - Steve Kirk, 54, passed away Sept. 14, 2002 at his home. Funeral services were held Sept. 17 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Bro. Willard Walls officiating. Burial was in Frances Cemetery.
Kirk, who taught 27 years in Livingston County School District, was a graduate of Murray State University and member of Midway Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by two sons, Stephen Kirk, Jr., of Marion and Allen Kirk of Princeton; his mother, Evelyn Kirk of Marion; two sisters, Brenda Sue Hazzard of Madisonville and Linda Waters of Eddyville; his grandmother, Verscia Kirk of Marion; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Kirk; and his father, Allen C. Kirk.
Trail
STURGIS, Ky. - Funeral services for Paul Trail, 60, formerly of Uniontown, were held Sept. 14, 2002 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield with Rev. Jim Lane officiating. Burial was in Union City Cemetery.
Trail passed away Sept. 11 at Methodist Hospital in Henderson County. He was a heavy equipment operator for many years and worked for Tri-D Farms in Sturgis for the past few years.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Sandy Trail; a daughter, Lisa Hall of Sturgis; three sisters, Ann Conger of Marion, Mary Travis of Marion and Elsie Campbell of Morganfield; a brother, Jim Trail of Marion; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Winters
Dorothy L. Winters, 77, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Sept. 14, 2002 at Regina Continuing Care Center.
Winters retired from Hooks Drug Store. She was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church where she belonged to the Women's Missionary Unit.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, David Winters..
Surviving are two sons, Bobby Winters and Rick Winters, both of Evansville; a brother, Roy McDaniels of Mountain Home, Ark.; two sisters, Ovelia Fryer of Salem and Lemma Lynn of Evansville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sept. 17 at Alexander East Chapel with Rev. Garry Lanham officiating. Burial was at Sunset Memorial Park in Evansville.
Brantley
Corene Brantley, 81, of Marion, passed away Sept. 18, 2002 at Salem Springlake Care Center. She was a member of Marion United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Wilbur Brantley of Marion; two daughters, Regina Cook of Marion and Pam Davenport of Paducah; a son, Dr. Brent Brantley of West Chicago, Ill.; a brother, Jim Roberts of Marion; two sisters, Bloudell Behrendt of Paducah and Virginia Swager of Kirksy; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers. Her parents were George H. and Allean Roberts.
Funeral services will be held Sept. 20 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Garvey officiating. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery.
Davenport
FENTON, Mo. - Kenneth Carroll Davenport, 74, formerly of Marion, passed away Sept. 6, 2002 at St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Louis.
Surviving are his wife, Betty R. Davenport of Fenton; three sons, Marty Davenport, Larry Davenport and Mike Davenport, all of Fenton; a brother, Paul Davenport of Marion; two sisters, Shirley Conway of Marion and Donna Willner of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Vernice Davenport.
Funeral services were held Sept. 10 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Sister Lucy Tedrick officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery
