Mrs. Gardner was a homemaker.
Born in Lewis County on Nov. 11, 1958, she was the daughter of Frank Flack and the late Eva Applegate Flack.
Surviving are her husband, James Gardner of Aberdeen; her father, Frank (Mildred) Flack of Maysville; a son, Noble (Kimberley) Monteith of Tollesboro; two daughters, Lisa (Kelly) Applegate and April (David) Love, all of Maysville; nine grandchildren; four sisters, Brenda Brown, Twana Saunders, Sharon Flack and Cindy Saunders; and two brothers, Darryl Flack and Ikie Thurman, all of Maysville.
Funeral services were conducted Sept. 13 at Brell & Son Funeral Home. Interment was in Olivet Church Cemetery.
Jerry Price
Jerry Price , 67, of Helena, passed away Sept. 10, 2006, at his residence.
Mr. Price was a retired maintenance man and far-mer. He attended the Mount Carmel United Methodist Church.
Born in Mason County on Aug. 20, 1939, he was the son of the late Richard Sterling and Molly Henson Jefferson Price .
Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Anna Colemire Price ; one son, Jeremy (Lynn) Price of Poplar Grove; one brother, Allen (Alice) Price of Washington; and several nieces and nephews, including Ricky Price , Tony Price and Susan Raye Price .
Preceding him in death were three brothers, Elmer Eugene Price , Eddie Joe Price and Ray S. "Ted" Price ; and a sister Betty Lou Price .
Funeral services were conducted Sept. 14 at the Palmer Funeral Home in May's Lick with the Rev. Jerry Eubanks and Rev. Paul Cropper officiating. Burial was in the Wedonia Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Mount Carmel United Methodist Church Building Fund or Hospice of Hope.
Mabel Sexton Shrum Stitt
Mabel Clotene Sexton Shrum Stitt, 67, of Hillsboro, passed away Sept. 9, 2006.
Mrs. Stitt was a retired bus driver for the Fleming County School System.
Born Feb. 17, 1939, in Fleming County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Raymond Reed and Zetta May Humphries.
Surviving are her husband, Paul Stitt; four daughters, Judy (Christopher) Muse of Wallingford, Bonnie (Robb) Jensen of Woodbridge, Va., Connie Sexton Hamilton of Ohio and Brenda (Rick) Sexton-Cooper of Poplar Plains; two stepsons, Allen and Duane Stitt, both of Mason County; two brothers, Roy C. Reed of Portland, Ind. and Walter Reed of Lewis County; one sister, Lois Hunt of Paris; three grandchildren, Lee Muse, Sam Muse and Austin Arthur Williams; two step-grandchildren, Jessica Harvey and Steven Cooper; and one step-great-grandchild, Katelynn Harvey.
Preceding her in death were two husbands, Arthur Sexton and Humphrey Shrum; and two brothers, James and Fletcher Reed.
Funeral services were conducted Sept. 12 at the Flemingsburg Baptist Church with Dr. Chris Beckham officiating. Burial was in the Sexton Family Cemetery in Hillsboro.
Gene Boling
Gene Boling, 71, of Campbellsville, passed away Sept. 14, 2006.
Mr. Boling was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church. He was a member of the U.S. Navy, retiring as chief master-at-arms after 22 years of service. He received the Good Conduct Award, Expert Marksman Medal and Meritorious Unit Commendation.
Born March 24, 1935, in Fleming County, he was the son of the late Robert Boling and Elizabeth Eudella Handy.
Surviving are his wife, Ethel Boling, whom he married May 24, 1979; four daughters, Patti Faith Stinson of Virginia Beach, Va., Dianna Boling and Angela Shrout, both of Mt. Sterling, and Deanna Roberson of Owingsville; two stepdaughters, Glenda Dawson of Lexington and Theresa Goebel of Texas; nine grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and 12 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was one sister, Alma Boling.
Funeral services were conducted Sept. 18 at the Parrott & Ramsy Funeral Home with Rev. Skip Alexander and Rev. Danny Pace. Burial was in Lebanon National Cemetery with full military honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
