Thelma Gertrude Lewis Conley, 91, of Hillsboro, passed away May 9, 2005. She was the widow of Tom Conley who died June 28, 1989.
Mrs. Conley and her late husband were respected farmers and admired by people in the Hillsboro community.
Born in Morgan County on July 24, 1913, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Ruthie Lewis.
Surviving are two sons, Drexel Conley of Lexington and Buford Conley of Hillsboro; two daughters, Wilma (Gus) Fugate of Columbus, Ohio and Irene (Tom) Wills of Lynchburg, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Bobby (Anne) Conley, Annette (Steve) Sitzlar, Keith Conley, John Fugate, Linda Fugate, Bill (Mindy) Wills, Joe (Missy) Wills, Ray (Jennie) Conley and Dana (Jamie) Conley Lyons; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lovel Lewis; and one brother, Junior Lewis.
Also preceding her in death was a son, Donald Conley.
Funeral services were conducted May 14 at Boone-Nic-kell Funeral Home. Burial was in the Lewis Family Cemetery in Morgan County.
Flora Beulah Dugan
Flora Beulah Dugan passed away May 8, 2005.
Ms. Dugan was born Nov. 4, 1906 in Wallingford.
Surviving are five generations of nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were five brothers, Orville, Otha, Cloe, Virgil and Chester; and three sisters, Grace, Altha and Louise.

Donald Lee Emmons
Donald Lee Emmons, 71, of Anderson, Ind., passed away May 9, 2005 in Community Hospital in Anderson after a brief illness. He was the widower of Dianne Griner Emmons who died Aug. 6, 1999.
Mr. Emmons worked for Delco Remy and Delphi for 36 years before retiring in 1988. He was a member of UAW Local #662 and an avid Pacer and Cincinnati Reds fan.
Born Dec. 13, 1933 in Kentucky, he was the son of the late William Marvin and Mary Florence Horsely Emmons.
Surviving are one daughter, Sherrie (Tim) Bucci of Anderson; one son, Jerry R. (Dolores) Emmons of Anderson; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted May 13 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Wayne Thacker officiating. Burial was in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Alma Rankins Griffitt
Alma Rankins Griffitt, 77, of Vanceburg, passed away May 11, 2005, at her residence. She was the widow of Adrian Griffitt.
Mrs. Griffitt was a homemaker and a member of Poplar Plains Church.
Born in Lewis County on July 12, 1927, she was the daughter of Edward Rankins and Mamie Rankins.
Surviving are two sons, Adrian (Evelyn) Griffitt of Maysville and Roger (Teresa) Griffitt of Vanceburg; three daughters, Linda (Mike) Agin of Bucyrus, Ohio, Donna (Jimmy) Coffey of Wallingford and Brenda (Tom) Quick of Portsmouth, Ohio; three brothers, Hubert Rankins of Mason County, Jack Rankins of Vanceburg and Michael Rankins of Bucyrus, Ohio; four sisters, Delores Land of Aberdeen, Ohio, Marie Poole of New Palestine, Ind., Betty Itak of Vero Beach, Fla. and Wanda Rigdon of Vanceburg; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Robert Rankins and Ed Rankins Jr.; and one great-grandson, Dylan Mi-chael Hunt.
Funeral services were conducted May 13 at Barbour and Son Funeral Home. Burial was in Esham Cemetery.
