Frances Elizabeth Applegate Himes, 80, of Orient, Ohio, passed away Dec. 26, 2005. She was the widow of Ollie Himes.
Mrs. Himes was retired from General Motors after 30 years of service and was a member of the local U.A.W. 969.
Born in Lewis County on Dec. 1, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Applegate and Stella Elliot Applegate.
Surviving are two sons, Stephen (Elizabeth) McCaffrey of Gahanna, Ohio; Keith (Regina) Himes of Columbus, Ohio; five grandchildren, Jeremy (Sheryl) Himes, Brittany Himes, Anne McCaffrey and Carrie McCaffrey, all of Columbus and Colin (Rachel) McCaffrey of Richmond, Va.; two step-grandchildren, Heather Bearse and Darrick Thomas; one step-grandson-in-law, James Bearse; 10 great grandchildren; and one sister, Dixie Fetters of Flemingsburg.
Preceding her in death were two infant daughters, Sandra Beth McCaffrey and Rhonda Lynn Himes.
Funeral services were conducted Dec. 29 at Barbour & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Don Polley officiating. Burial was in the Maysville Cemetery.
Delores Daulton Jamison
Delores Daulton Jamison, 77, of Johnson School Road, Grange City, Ky., passed away Dec. 25, 2005, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was the widow of Ecton T. Jamison who died Nov. 8, 2003.
Mrs. Jamison was a homemaker and a member of Ringos Mills Christian Church.
Born Oct. 8, 1928, at Ringos Mills, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Millard Allen and Virgie Olive Pierce Daulton.
Surviving are two daughters, Jo Ann (Gary) Snedegar of Hillsboro and Cathy June (John) Newsom of Poca, W.V.; one sister, Onita (Gerald) Royse of Winchester; six grandchildren, Doug, Lisa and Rachel Snedegar and Jason, Andrew and Michael Newsom; and three great-grandchildren, Jaclyn Rae Snedegar, Jamison Nicole Snedegar and Emily Virgin.
Also preceding her in death were one brother, Osborne E. Daulton; and one sister, Mildred Williams.
Funeral services were conducted Dec. 28 at Hutton Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Metcalf officiating; burial was in the Fairview Cemetery.
Christine Tesmer
Christine Tesmer, 78, of New Castle, Ind., passed away Dec. 26, 2005, at the home of her son, Robert Tesmer, after a long battle with cancer.
Mrs. Tesmer was a homemaker, loved gardening and her beloved pet, Co Co.
Born April 12, 1927, in Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Pearl Wilson Roseberry.
Surviving are one daughter, Carolyn F. Mitchell of Maysville; two sons, Allen (Sarah) Tesmer and Robert (Katie) Tesmer, all of New Castle; one brother, Claude W. (Bonnie) Roseberry of New Castle; two sisters, Betty Huber of New Castle and Bernice (Gene) Tester of Fleming County; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
Funeral services were conducted Dec. 30 at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Trent of Illinois officiating at the service. Burial was in Wedonia.
Hobert G. Doyle, Jr.
Hobert G. Doyle Jr., 27, of Morehead Road, Wallingford, Ky., passed away Dec. 31, 2005, at his residence.
Doyle had been a highway construction worker for N. H. Stone Company.
Born January 26, 1978, in Hammond, Ind., he was the son of Hobert G. Doyle Sr. and Shirley Drake Cioe and stepson of Piero Cioe, all of Wallingford.
Surviving are his wife, Brandy Portschell Doyle whom he married Feb. 12, 2005; two daughters, Courtney Doyle and Alanna Doyle; one brother, Gary (Sherry) Doyle of Cynthiana; one sister, Vickie (Steven) Kersich of East Chicago, Indiana; and two nieces and seven nephews.
Preceding him in death were one niece and one nephew.
Funeral services were conducted Jan. 3 at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with the Rev. Ronnie Conley officiating. Burial was in the Doyle Family Cemetery in Wallingford.
