Dorothy “Billie Jo” Yeager, 79, passed away June 11, 2006, at Hospice of Hope in Georgetown, Ohio.
Born in Carter County on Aug. 4, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Ruth Lee Stephens.
Surviving are two sisters, Wilma Christy of Aberdeen, Ohio and Joy White of Wallingford; one brother, Delsie (Betty) Stephens of Flemingsburg; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were conducted June 14 at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Pastor Dewayne Logan officiating. Burial was in Ramey’s Chapel Cemetery.
Donald Ray Carmichael
Donald Ray Carmichael, 81, of Maysville, passed away May 29, 2006, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville. His wife, Beulah Lorene Curtis Carmichael, died Sept. 8, 2005.
Mr. Carmichael proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a recipient of the WW II Victory Medal. He was also a farmer and a former employee of Randall Company in Flemingsburg.
Born April 14, 1925, in Greenville, he was the son of the late Roy and Laura Elamon Carmichael.
Surviving are three sons, Randall Carmichael of Wallingford and Justin Carmichael and Ernest Carmichael, both of Maysville; one halfbrother, John Rainwaters of Muncie, Ind.; one sister, Louise Curtis, and an adopted sister, Debbie Phillips, both of Muncie; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted June 1 at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Bro. Arnold Howell officiating; burial was in the Eldridge Cemetery on Bull Fork Road.
Doris Pickrell Daugherty
Doris Pickrell Daugherty, 81, of Poplar Plains, passed away May 30, 2006, at the Fleming County Hospital in Flemingsburg.
Mrs. Daugherty was a homemaker.
Born June 19, 1924, in Fleming County, she was the daughter of the late Douglas Pickrell and Fannie Pierce Pickrell Burke.
Surviving are one niece, Delilah J. Maddox of Hillsboro; one nephew, Daniel (D.W.) Royse of Eureka, Calif.; three great nieces; one great nephew; four great-great nieces and three great-great nephews.
Also preceding her in death were her husbands, Henry Clifford Black, who died Sept. 23, 1961, and Allen E. Daugherty, who died June 19, 1995; one brother, James Douglas Pickrell; one sister, Virginia O. Royse and her husband Gene Paul Royse.
Funeral services were conducted June 2 at the Hutton Funeral Home in Hillsboro with the Rev. Randy Hawkins officiating.
Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
Gladys Mae Jackson
Gladys Mae Jackson, 88, of Weddle Street in Flemingsburg, passed away May 29, 2006. She was the widow of Omar Jackson who died April 18, 1994.
Mrs. Jackson was a housewife and a member of the Battle Run Christian Church.
Born June 1, 1917, in Fleming County, she was the daughter of the late William Walter and Elsie Planck Cooper.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Scotty, Loretta and Marsha Mitchell, all of Flemingsburg; Bob and Jannie Marshall of Flemingsburg; and Bill and Janet Marshall of Punta Gorda, Fla.
Preceding her in death was a brother, Riblen Cooper.
Funeral services were conducted June 1 at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Snider officiating. Burial was in the Elizaville Cemetery.
