Randy "Deanie" Stacy, 48, of Wallingford, passed away June 1, 2006, at Fleming County Hospital. Born in Lewis County on Oct. 5, 1957, he was the son of James Stacy and the late Thelma Bevins Stacy.
Surviving are his wife, Connie Hardy Stacy of Wallingford; one son, Joshua Stacy (fiancee, Becky Spencer and daughter, Amber Spencer) of Wallingford; three sisters, Velma Ball of Morehead, Cindy Marie Kissick of Muses Mills and Roxanne Ingram of Tenn.; and three brothers, Jackie Ray Stacy of Muses Mills, Larry M. Stacy of Goddard and Ricky Stacy of Wallingford.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, James Dale Stacy and Woodie Venson Stacy.
Funeral services were conducted June 3 at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Forrest Hedges officiating. Burial was in the Sargent's Branch Cemetery.
Margie Thacker Phillips
Margie Mae Thacker Phillips, 69, of Minerva, passed away May 31, 2006, at her residence.
Born January 30, 1937, in Fleming County, she was the daughter of Ruby Davis Thacker and Walter Thacker of Flemingsburg.
Surviving are her husband, Jerry Phillips; four children, Jeff Thacker of Maysville, Lisa Mason of Berea and Cathie Insko and Mary Insko, both of Germantown; five grandchildren; one brother, Willie Thacker of Bath County; and five sisters, Polly Williams, Jenny Rice and Sue Thacker, all of Fleming County, Patsy Doyle of Mason County and Ruthy Bishop of Garrison.
Preceding her in death were a sister, Beverly Hamilton; and a brother, Monte Thacker.
Funeral services were conducted June 3 at the Palmer Funeral Home in Germantown. Burial was in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Germantown.
Beulah Fields Dowd
Beulah Mae Fields Dowd of Reno, Nev., passed away June 27, 2006.
Mrs. Dowd was born in Fleming County in 1933.
Surviving are her husband, Charles Dowd; two children, Dean Glascock and Nicci Mock, both of Nashville, Tenn.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of Nashville; three brothers, James Fields of Dayton, Ohio, and Means Fields Jr. and Bill Fields, both of Owingsville; and two sisters, Shelia Shireman of Georgetown and Cheryl Hall of Pace, Fla.
Graveside services were conducted July 1 at the Bethel Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
Larry Wayne Flora
Larry Wayne Flora, 33, Flemingsburg, passed away June 26, 2006, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Mr. Flora was a truck driver.
Born in Mason County on April 3, 1973, he was the son of Deloris Ramey Flora of Flemingsburg and the late Larry C. Flora.
Also surviving are two sisters, Debbie Sue (Randy) Williams of Tilton and Lisa Ann (Michael Dean) Jackson of Flemingsburg; one grandmother, Dorothy Jean Ramey of Tilton; his fiancee, Holly Jenkins of Winchester; and several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Alvin Ramey, Clyde Roberts and Lyda Mae Flora.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Boone-Nickell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
