Graveside services for Lloyd C. King, 85, of Tinderwood Drive, Frankfort, were held 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Reverend Don Karsner presided. Military Honors were conducted at cemetery by VFW Post 4075.
Mr. King died Saturday at Heritage Hall in Lawrenceburg. A native of Fleming County, Mr. King was a retired automotive mechanic.
Mr. King was the son of the late Andrew Talitha and Eva Lena McClean King. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jerry Dean King; two brothers, Andrew and Arvin King; and one sister, Katherine Flora.
Survivors include his seven sons, Ernie W. King, Deerfield, Ohio, Tony W. King, Garrettsville, Ohio, Mike Toy, Paris, Steve P. King, Garrettsville, Ohio, Lloyd A. King and Dennis K. King, Frankfort, and Dallas K. King, Midway; one daughter,Anita Gayle Eastman, Frankfort; sixteen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Pall bearers were Chuck Hislope, Mark Haydon, Bill Parker, Willis Willhoite, Sam Brough, John Lawrence, Mark Strunk and John Black.
Meadows
Robert Clinton Meadows, 22, of of Foxport, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2006 in Lexington.
He was born Jan. 21, 1984 in Mason County to Randall Meadows and Willa Leach Meadows of Wallingford.
Clint was a student at the University of Kentucky and was to graduate on Dec. 9, 2006 with a degree in agriculture engineering.
He was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity, UK Dairy Club, and had served as an ambassador to the College of Agriculture and was a member of Mount Carmel Christian Church.
Besides his parents, he is survived by a brother, Daniel Meadows, also a student at University of Kentucky; a sister, Julie (Andrew) Fritsch of Bourbon County; special friend, Alyson Offenheiser, also a student at University of Kentucky; maternal grandparents, Willard and Peggy Leach of Louisville; and paternal grandmother Eulene Lykins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald Meadows.
Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 8, 2006 at Barbour and Son Funeral Home in Tollesboro with Bro. Mason Harrod officiating.
Burial was in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Fleming County.
Pickrell
Thelma Christine Kissick Atchison Pickrell, 89, died Dec. 10, 2006 at Mayfair Manor. Born in Fleming County, she was the daughter of Sylvester and Nannie Kissick. Survivors are two sons, Robert (Kay) Atchison, Fleming Co., and Jerry (Cyle) Pickrell, Lexington; three grandchildren, Rebecca Atchison, Flemingsburg, Brad (Beth) Pickrell and Cari Pickrell, all of Lexington. She is also survived by a sister, Oleta Horseman, Richmond, . She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Atchison, her late husband, Warren G. Pickrell, one daughter, Janet Atchison, three brothers, Fred, Wilson and Sam Kissick, and five sisters, Bessie Kissick, Mattie Kissick, Alta Kissick Estill, Iva Kissick Cooper and Callie Kissick Anderson. Funeral services will be 12 noon Wednesday, Dec. 13 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. officiated by the Rev. Jesse Baldridge. Visitation will be from 10 to 12 noon before the funeral. Burial will follow in Hedricks Cemetery, Bath County.
Muse
David Gene Muse, 46, the son of Ellen Hamm Muse and the late Gene Arnold Muse, died Tuesday Dec. 5, 2006. Other survivors include four brothers; Martin Lane Muse, Theodore Fleming Muse, Ronald Ray Muse, all of Wallingford, Ky., and Jason Mathew Muse of Lexington, two sisters; Alicia Joyce (Curtis) Armstrong of Elizabethtown, and Heather Janene Grey of Lexington, a niece Kimberley Kristen Muse of Ithaca, NY., and several aunts and uncles. Visitation was 10 am - 12 noon Fri. Dec. 8, 2006 at Whitehall Funeral Home. Graveside service was held at 2pm at the Muse Family Cemetery in Muses Mill, Ky. Lawrence Freeman Gallagher
Lawrence Freeman Gallagher, 68, of Ewing and the husband of Bonnie Masters Gallagher died Thursday, Nov. 30 in the Fleming County hospital. Lawrence was a finish carpenter and a member of the Shannon Methodist Church.
Lawrence was born in Mason County, Nov. 10, 1938 to Charles and Margaret Smitson Gallagher.
Lawrence is survived by his wife of 44 years, Bonnie Gallagher, two children, Jackie Rae (Daniel) Whitaker of South Webster, Ohio and Randall Keith Gallagher of Ewing and was preceded in death by a son, Terry Freeman Gallagher. Also surviving are two grandchildren Shalyn Marie Whitaker of South Webster and Joshua Freeman Gallagher of Flemingsburg. Also surviving are brothers, Gordon Ray Gallagher and Tommy Garner of Cincinnati and Clarence Gallagher of Indiana and two sisters, Audrey Gates of Dayton, Ohio and Elizabeth Gallagher of Florida. Preceding in death is a sister, Louise Gallagher Hinton and two brothers, Gene and Robert Gallagher.
