Barry Lee Conley, age 21, of Martin, Ky., husband of Carey Fitzpatrick Conley, passed away, Wednesday, June 19, 2002, at Wayland, Ky.
He was born January 30, 1981, in Prestonsburg, Ky., the son of Jackie Lee Conley and Wendy Howard Conley of Garrett, Ky.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by one son, Barry Logan Tyler Conley of Martin, Ky.; and one brother, Jackie Ray Conley of Martin, Ky.
Funeral services for Barry Lee Conley will be conducted Saturday, June 22, 2002, at 12:00 noon at the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, Ky., with the clergyman, Randy Osborne, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Loy Conley Cemetery, (Ball Branch), Mousie, Ky., under the professional care of the Hall Funeral Home.
Visitation is at the funeral home.

Willina Gwenevere Hayes
Willina Gwenevere Hayes, 48, of Stanville, Ky., passed away, Thursday, June 20, 2002, at the Pikeville Methodist Hospital, Pikeville, Ky.
She was born August 17, 1953, in Martin, Ky., the daughter of Irene Reynolds Fields of Stanville, Ky., and the late Charles Thompson. She was a self-employed contractor for C&C Drilling, and attended Immanuel Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Amy Hueke of Stanville, Ky.; one brother, Kent Edward Thompson of Royal Oaks, Mi.; one grandchild, Colby Hayes of Teaberry, Ky., and a special friend, Robert Branham.
She was also preceded in death by her step-father, Earl Fields; two sons, Christopher Hayes and Shannon Layne Hayes.
Funeral services for Gwenevere Hayes will be conducted Saturday, June 22, 2002, at 2:00 p.m., at the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, Ky., with the clergyman, Sam Crawford, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, Ky., under the professional care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Ky.

Tabitha Ann Hensley
Tabitha Ann Hensley, age 32, of Lexington, Ky., formerly of Langley, Ky., passed away Thursday, June 13, 2002, at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, Ky.
She was born February 19, 1970, in Prestonsburg, Ky., the daughter of Donald “Tan” Hensley, of Langley, Ky., and the late Tamayra Jean Northrop Hensley. “Tabby” was a caterer for the Kroger Company, worked at Trim Masters on seat assembly for Toyota, and also worked for the Goodwill Store of Lexington, Ky.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Bill Demar of Louisville, Ky.; one brother, William Stanley “Billy” Hensley of Blue River, Ky.; one aunt, Nancy Northrop of Martin, Ky.; one nephew, William Gregory Hensley of Blue River, Ky.; three nieces, Felisha Hensley of Prestonsburg, Ky., Megan and Melody Hensley, both of Blue River, Ky.; and her grandmother, Mable Cooley Hensley of Martin, Ky.
Funeral services for Tabitha Ann Hensley were conducted Monday, June 17, 2002, at 1 p.m., at the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, Ky., with the clergyman, Brent Tackett, officiating.
Burial was in the Leonard Allen Cemetery at Langley, Ky., under the professional care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Ky.
Visitation was at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Baron Allen, Jake Bates, Kirk Blevins, Rodney Brown, Tim Culhan, Freddie Samons and Oscar Short.
Honorary pallbearers: Lynman Branham, Nelson Hagans, Norman Osborne, Elmer Shepherd and Earl Warrens.

Earl Ray Johnson
Earl Ray Johnson, age 60, of Hi Hat, Ky., husband of Marilyn Fisher Johnson, passed away, Sunday, June 16, 2002, at his residence in Hi Hat, Ky.
He was born September 30, 1941, in Hi Hat, Ky., the son of the late Bish Johnson and Fronie Newman Johnson. He attended the Drift Pentecostal Church, Drift, Ky., and was a self-employed laborer.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Kent Johnson of Lenoir, N.C.; two daughters, Freda May Johnson and Tina Marie Johnson Green, both of Hi Hat, Ky.; two brothers, Herman Johnson of Hi Hat, Ky., and Hershel Johnson of Bevinsville, Ky.; one sister, Eula Faye Johnson of Frankfort, Ky., and three grandchildren.
Funeral services for Earl Ray Johnson were conducted Tuesday, June 18, 2002, at 11:00 a.m., at the Drift Pentecostal Church, Drift, Ky., with Clergyman Ted Shannon officiating.
Burial was in the Johnson Cemetery, Hi Hat, Ky., under the professional care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Ky.
Visitation was at the funeral home, and at the Drift Pentecostal Church.
Pallbearers: Darren Green, Teddy Keene, Donald Johnson, Marvin Johnson, Scottie Johnson, Robbie Johnson, and Harold Moore.

Elva Darcus Newsome
Elva Darcus Newsome, age 73, of Teaberry, Ky., passed away Sunday, June 16, 2002, in the Pikeville Methodist Hospital, Pikeville, Ky.
She was born July 28, 1928, in Craynor, Ky., the daughter of the late Evan Isaacs and Judy Francis Hall Isaacs. She was formerly employed by the U.S. Shoe Corporation, and was a part-time postmaster at Teaberry, Ky.
Survivors include two sons, Layton Newsome and Anthony Newsome Jr., both of Teaberry, Ky.; three daughters, Deborah Reynolds of Grethel, Ky., Madlyn Spears of Trenton, Mi., Dianna Doris Newsom of Virgie, Ky.; two sisters, Nannie Gayheart of McDowell, Ky., and Melva Stanley of Trenton, Mi.; 11 grandchildren, Jeffery Spears, James Anthony Newsome, Ryan Newsome, Lloyd Keith Newsom, Russell Todd Newsom, Jarred Newsome, Darrin Reynolds, Todd Spears, Jodi Lynn Williams, and Tonya Sanders and Lana Bolden; two great-grandchildren, Jonathan Bolden and Abigail Newsom.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant grandchild, Bobby Reynolds; five brothers, Arthur Isaacs, William Isaacs Jr., Earmel Isaacs, Boge Isaacs, and Tony Isaacs; a sister, Lizzie Vance, and an infant sister, Martha Isaacs.
Funeral services for Elva Darcus Newsome will be conducted Thursday, June 20, 2002, at 11:00 a.m., at the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, Ky., with Preacher Eddie Hughes officiating, along with singing by the Church of Christ ministers.
Burial will follow in the Hollybush Cemetery, Teaberry, Ky., under the professional care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Ky.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home, with services at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, with the Old Regular Baptist ministers officiating.

Thomas Raymond LeMaster
Thomas Raymond LeMaster, 81, of Prestonsburg, Ky., died Sunday, June 16, 2002, at Highlands Regional Medical Center.
Born on September 1, 1920, he was the son of the late James Hansford LeMaster and Florence Hereford LeMaster. He was a former welder, supervisor of safety, and land agent for Kentucky West Virginia Gas Company in Prestonsburg, Ky.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Zebulon Masonic Lodge No. 273, Prestonsburg, Ky. He was an Army veteran; a life member of American Legion Post 129; and a life member of V.F.W. Post 5839. He was an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Mabel Jean Conley LeMaster, of Prestonsburg.
Other survivors include three daughters, Kay Wingham (Edwin) of Tipp City, Oh., Tommie Jeanne Setser (Fred), and Mary Ann Waltman (Alan), both of Millville, N.J.; one sister, Winifred (Winnie) Blackburn of Prestonsburg, Ky.; four grandchildren, Doug Brown, Jennifer MacAlvoy, Elizabeth Caulfield, and Matthew Wingham; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 19, 2002, at 11 a.m., at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, Prestonsburg, with Rev. Wayne Sayre officiating.
Interment will be in the Hereford Family Cemetery, Prestonsburg, Ky.
Contributions are suggested to the Family Life Center, First United Methodist Church, 256 S. Arnold Ave., Prestonsburg, Ky. 41653.
Active pallbearers: Tom Hereford, David Hereford, Edwin Wingham, Fred Setser, and Alan Waltman.
Honorary pallbearers: Preston Nichols, Paul LeMaster, Bill James, Cal Herrick, and Dr. John Hereford.
Masonic services were held, 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Military graveside rites were conducted by Big Sandy Chapter No. 18, DAV.

Ruby C. Baker
Ruby C. Baker, 83, retired manager of Dawahare’s, and the widow of Charles W. Baker, died Sunday, June 16, 2002.
She was born in Butler, Tn., a daughter of the late Dana Campbell and Dora Lewis Campbell Ditto. She was a member of Gardenside Baptist Church, and the first employee of Dawahare’s in Lexington.
She is survived by a daughter and two sons, Mary Lamm of Lexington, Roger (Charlotte) Baker of Lexington, and Ed (Frankie) Baker of Denver, Co.; a brother and three sisters, Donald Ditto of Zepherhills, Fl., Pauline Plue of Clinton, In., Ora Mae Gillum of Middletown, Oh., and Peggy Reiber of Clinton, In.; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, at W.R. Milward Mortuary-Southland, conducted by Dr. Ronald Fellemende, and Rev. James Heard.
Burial was at the Lexington Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Dr., Lexington, Ky., 40504, or the Chrysalis House, 120 Chrysalis Ct., Lexington, KY 40507.
