Alton O. “Bud” Frazier Jr.
Alton O. “Bud” Frazier Jr., age 63, of Tipp City, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2002, as a result of an automobile accident. He retired from Gem City Engineering. He was a member of the Irish Club in Dayton, and was appointed a Kentucky Colonel.
Alton is survived by his mother, Ruby Skaggs Frazier of Tipp City; sons and daughters-in-law, Alton O. and Tracy Frazier III of Carlisle, Ohio, Anthony and Rosario Howard of CA, James Kane of Dayton, Ohio; daughter, Angela Frazier of AZ; son, Tommy Howard of AZ, daughters, Gwen Cuzzort of Dayton, Ohio, Amy Frazier of AZ, brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Jan Frazier of Tipp City, Ohio, sister, Billie Sue King of MS; 16 grandchildren; former wives, Violet Collins of Carlisle, Ohio, Evelyn Keano of AZ; nieces, nephews, his Kentucky family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Alton O. Frazier Sr., and brother-in-law, Gene King.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., on Saturday, February 23, 2002, at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood, Ohio) with Pastor Charles Lawson, Reverend Bob Plummer and Mark Plummer officiating.
Interment will be at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens in Brookville, Ohio.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 10 a.m., until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Calvary Baptist Church, Grace Brethren Church, or the Kidney Foundation. Envelopes will be provided.

Less Wallen
Less Wallen, age 79, of Water Gap, Ky., passed away Thursday, February 14, 2002, at his residence, after an extended illness.
He was born June 26, 1922, at Water Gap, Ky., a son of the late Henry (Buck) and Johnnie (Calhoun) Wallen. He was a retired carpenter.
He was married to Jennie (Miller) Wallen, who survives him.
Other survivors include three sons, Mr. Lester Wallen of Ypsilanti, Mi., Mr. Jesse Wallen, and Mr. Dean Wallen, both of Water Gap, Ky.; one daughter, Mrs. Mornan Sue English of Sarasota, Fla.; one brother, Mr. John Wallen of Prestonsburg, Ky.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, February 16, 2002, at 1 p.m., at the Burke Funeral Home Chapel, at Prestonsburg, Ky., with Rev. James A. Harmon officiating.
Burial was in the Davidson Memorial Cemetery at Ivel, Ky.
All arrangements were under the direction of Burke Funeral Home.

James David Nelson
James David Nelson, 57, of Fostoria, Ohio, formerly of Floyd County, died Monday, February 11, 2002, following an extended illness.
Born on January 5, 1945, in Williamson, W.Va., he was the son of the late James J. Nelson, and Josephine Goodman Nelson. He was a disabled truck driver, and a member of the Living Water Worship Center, Paintsville, Ky.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Prater Nelson.
Other survivors include two sons, Harry Poe and Johnny Poe, both of Findlay, Ohio; one daughter, Dava Nelson of Fostoria, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Terry Robbins; and a sister, Joyce Marsilett.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 15, 2002, at 1 p.m., at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, with Andy Dillon officiating.
Burial will be in the McGuire Cemetery, Big Branch, Abbott, Ky., under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Ky.
Visitation is at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.

Hassel Watson
Hassel Watson, 68, of Pippa Passes, Ky., died Wednesday, February 13, 2002, following an extended illness.
Born on February 17, 1933, at Pippa Passes, Ky., he was the son of the late Noah Watson and Victoria Slone Watson. He was disabled.
Survivors include two brothers, Harvey Watson of Martin, Ky., and Frank Watson of Pippa Passes, Ky.; one sister, Velva Hall of Prestonsburg, Ky.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Hobert Watson, and two sisters, Nola Watson and Delta Watson.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 16, 2002, at 12 noon, at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Ky., with Mt. Olive Old Regular Baptist ministers officiating.
Burial will be in the Noah and Victoria Watson Cemetery, Pippa Passes, Ky., under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Ky.
Visitation is at the funeral home.

Carl Bishop Wright
Carl Bishop Wright, 82, of Clearwater, Florida, a native of Pikeville, died Saturday, February 2, 2002, at his residence, where he was cared for by members of his family, assisted by Hospice.
He was, at one time, a Linotype operator for the Floyd County Times.
He moved to Clearwater, and from there to Toledo, Ohio, where he graduated with honors from the University of Toledo, and worked as a chemist for Libby Owens Ford Glass Co., retiring in 1984, and returning to Clearwater, after 23 years of service.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, and the ‘Gophers, ’ a church group. He was an honorary alumnus of Berea College in Kentucky.
His survivors include one son, Russell B. Wright of Dunedin, Florida; one daughter, Patricia Yancey of Alachua, Florida; two grandchildren, Jamie Chaloux of Clearwater, Florida, and Brandon O’Hara of Jupiter, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice, Berea College, or to the Christian Appalachian Project.
Curlew Hills Funeral Home, Palm Harbor, Florida, was in charge of arrangements.

Ronnie Hall
Ronnie Hall, 40, of Warsaw, Indiana, died Saturday, February 9, 2002, at 1:55 p.m., at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana.
Born on September 8, 1961, in Floyd County, Ky., he was the son of Verlie (Evans) Hall, and the late Henry P. Hall. He was a quality control employee at Supreme Corporation. He had been a resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana, since the age of 16 (1978).
He is survived by his wife, Dianna Hall of Warsaw, Indiana.
Other survivors include his mother, Verlie Hall of Mentone, Indiana; three children, Chad P. Hall, Jessica M. Hall and Cheyenne N. Hall, all of Warsaw, In.; four brothers, James “Red” Hall of Mentone, Indiana, Junior “Bo” Hall, Teddy W. Hall and Kenneth Hall, all of Warsaw, Ind.; three sisters, JoAnn Adkins of Etna Green, In., Pearl Maish of Warsaw, In., and Kathleen Newsome of McDowell, Ky.; three stepchildren, Jill M. Kerby, Sherry L. Hamman, and Michael V. Krise, all of Warsaw, Indiana; and three stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Services will be conducted Wednesday, February 13, 2002, at 10:00 a.m., at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, In., with Pastor Dan Berry officiating.
Burial will be in the Palestine Cemetery, Palestine, In.
Visitation is at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Ronnie Hall Memorial Fund, 2412 N. 800 W., Warsaw, Indiana 46580.

Isom Tuttle
Isom Tuttle, 61, of Garrett, Ky., died Tuesday, February 12, 2002, following an extended illness.
Born on March 22, 1940, at Knott County, Ky., he was the son of the late Jay Tuttle and Delzy Chaffins Tuttle. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the Salem United Baptist Church in Rome City, Indiana.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Collins Tuttle.
Other survivors include three sons, Micheal Tuttle of Ashley, Ind., Jeffery Tuttle and Jamie Tuttle, both of Garrett, Ky.; two daughters, Shirley Faye Moore of Garrett, Ky., and Angela Rena Ousley of Prestonsburg, Ky.; four brothers, Billy Ray Tuttle and Harvey Tuttle, both of Hudson, Ind., Marvin Tuttle of Stroh, Ind., and Rodney Tuttle of Garrett, Ky.; five sisters, Edna Mae Tuttle of LaGrange, Ind., Nadine Powers of Howell, Ind., Barbara Ann Slone of Rome City, Ind., Cindy McNickle of Stroh, Ind., and Ruby Jean Newsome of Grethel, Ky.; and six grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and one step-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Irene Moore.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 15, 2002, at 11 a.m., at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Ky., with Bethel and Sterlin Bolen, Willie Collins and Billy Ray Tuttle officiating.
Burial will be in the Tuttle Family Cemetery, Chaffins Br., Garrett, Ky., under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.
Visitation is at the funeral home.
