Born on May 7, 1940, in Hollybush, he was the son of Herald Hall and the late Elberta Caudill Hall.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann Hall.
Survivors, other than his wife and father include one son, Cordell Keith Hall of Kite; four brothers, Ettis Ray and Phillip Hall, both of Kite, Alfred Hall of Mousie, and Orlando Hall of Lackey; two sisters, Marcella Martin of Estill, and Judy Collins of Pinetop.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, July 20, at the Providence Regular Baptist Church with Regular Baptist ministers officiating.
Burial was in the Herald Hall Cemetery at Hollybush, under the direction of Hindman Funeral Services.
Daisy Hemphill
Daisy Hemphill, 81, of Wheelwright, died Monday, July 24, 2000, at McDowell Appalachian Regional Hospital, following an extended illness.
Born on August 23, 1918, in Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Anderson and Agnes Phinsee Strickland. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Wheelwright.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Hemphill.
Survivors include one brother, Anderson Strickland of Detroit, Michigan; three sisters, Ollie Mae Kirkland of New York City, Sarah Donegan of Cleveland, Ohio, and Katherine Pearson of Kansas City, Missouri.
Visitation will be at the Friendship Baptist Church, Wheelwright, after 6 p.m., Thursday.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 29, at 9:30 a.m., at the J.W. Wills Company, Cleveland, Ohio.
Burial will be in the Cleveland Memorial Cemetery, Highland Hills, Ohio, under the direction of the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin.
Orpha Noble
Orpha Noble, 82, of Hueysville, died Friday, July 21, 2000, at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center.
Born on February 2, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Simon Smith and Equilla Prater Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Noble.
Survivors include four sisters, Norma Williams of Emmalena, Mary Combs of Hueysville, Lura Sawyer of Lima, Ohio and Margaret Smith of Tryon, North Carolina.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, July 24, at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel, with Jeff Roark, Clay Haynes and John Smith officiating.
Burial was in the Beverly Cemetery at Elmrock, under the direction of Hindman Funeral Services.
James Hall
James Hall, 62, of Dana, died Sunday, July 23, 2000, at his residence.
Born on June 1, 1938, in Honaker, he was the son of the late Lonnie Hall and Gracie Meade Hall. He was a retired self-employed carpenter, and was a member of the Prestonsburg Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Lou Kidd Hall.
Other survivors include three brothers, Leonard Hall of Harold, Larry Hall of Printer, Bascom Hall of Honaker; four sisters, Alma Dozmati of Akron, Ohio, Velma Salisbury of Springhill, Florida, Emma Lou Celensky of New Port Richey, Florida, and Janice Pullium of Hazard.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 26, at 11:00 a.m., at the Prestonsburg Church of Christ, at Lancer, with the clergyman, Bennie Blankenship, officiating.
Burial will be in the Hall Cemetery, Little Mud, Honaker, under the direction of Hall Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Hall, Keith Hall, Ernie Tackett, Dale Kimbler, Brad Kimbler, Derick Hale, Ronald Hunter, Jeff Lawson, Perry Lawson, and Butch Hall.

Clara Schmidt
Clara Schmidt, 84, of Litchfield, Michigan, died Sunday, July 23, 2000, at the Litchfield Nursing Center.
Born on June 25, 1916, in Floyd County, she was the daughter of John and Sarah Mandy Williams Adams. She was retired from McGraw-Edison Co. in Albion.
She was twice married; first to Albert Holbrook, and later to Julius Schmidt. Both preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Christine Cronk, and one son, Herbie Holbrook, both of Homer, Michigan; 25 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 26, at 1 p.m., at the George White Funeral Home, Litchfield, with Pastor Tom O'Connor officiating.
Interment will be in the Whig Center Cemetery, Butler Township, Michigan, under the direction of George White Funeral Home.
Tex Williams
Tex Williams, 46, of Grethel, died Tuesday, July 25, 2000, at McDowell ARH, following an extended illness.
Born on June 9, 1954, in Floyd County, he was the son of Ethel Evans Williams of Grethel, and the late Miles Williams. He was a disabled carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Sue Rogers Williams.
Other survivors include one daughter, Donna Sue Williams of Grethel; seven brothers, Ray Williams, Emmit Williams, Willie (Pee Wee) Williams, Butler (Tubby) Williams, and Hank Williams, all of Grethel, Rex Williams of Lakewood, Ohio, Denver Williams of Cleveland, Ohio; four sisters, Alice Belles of Lodi, Ohio, Bertha Hollis of Grafton, Ohio, Ilene (Judy) Collins of Grethel, Mary Escbuk of Brooklyn, Ohio and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted, Friday, July 28, at 11 am., at the Zion Old Regular Baptist Church, at Grethel, with ministers of the Old Regular Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will be in the Evans Cemetery, at Grethel, under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.
Elvie Field Spears
Elvie Field Spears, 84, of Harold, died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, at U.K. Medical Center, Lexington, following an extended illness.
Born on October 9, 1915, in Floyd County, he was the son of the late Lee and Sara Katherine May Spears. He was a retired farmer, WWII Army veteran, and a member of the D.A.V at Virgie.
He was a member of the Toler Creek Freewill Baptist Church at Harold.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearlie Stevens Spears.
Survivors include two sons, Roy Gene Spears and Larry Spears, both of Harold; two daughters, Shirley Kathryn Adkins and Ruby Joyce Newman, both of Harold; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 22, at 1 p.m., at the Toler Creek Freewill Baptist Church, with Jamie Biliter and others officiating.
Burial will be in the Spears family cemetery, Toler Creek, Harold, under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin.
Arizona (Oma) Jones Tackett
Arizona (Oma) Jones Tackett, 48, of Beaver, died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, at McDowell Appalachian Regional Hospital, following an extended illness.
Born on January 9, 1952, in Martin, she was the daughter of the late Dennis and Dorsie Jones. She was a member of the United Christian Church of God, Hi Hat.
She is survived by her husband, Ricky Lynn Tackett.
Other survivors include two sons, Dennis Lynn Tackett and John Michael Tackett, both of Beaver; one daughter, Eula Ann Tackett of Beaver; three sisters, Artie Tackett and Elva Jones, both of Beaver, and Liza Blankenship of Teaberry.
Funeral services will be conducted, Friday, July 21, at 11 a.m., at the United Christian Church of God, at Hi Hat, with ministers of the church officiating.
Burial will be in the Jones Family Cemetery, Tackett Fork, Beaver, under the direction of the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.
Keith David Williamson
Keith David Williamson, 29, of Prestonsburg, died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, at the Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg.
Born on April 28, 1971, at McDowell, he was the son of Ronnie and Patsy Tackett Williamson of Prestonsburg.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Owens Williamson.
Other survivors include one daughter, Emily Elizabeth Williamson, at home; one brother, Robert Williamson of Fort Branch, Indiana; two sisters, Kathy Clark of Fort Knox, and Amy Isaac of Prestonsburg; maternal grandparents, Sherman and Lassie Tackett of Drift, and paternal grandparents, Walter and Roseanna Williamson of Drift.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 22, at noon, at the Free Pentecostal Church at Drift with the Rev. Ted Shannon officiating.
Burial will be in the Drift Cemetery, under the direction of Floyd Funeral Home, Prestonsburg.
Serving as pallbearers will be James Clark, Terry Tackett, James Isaac, Joey Sammons, Johnny Patton, John David Patton, Kent Williams and James Gray.
