Richard Hack, age 70, of Caneyville, KY passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012 at his home in Caneyville.
He was born October 14, 1941 in Grayson County, KY, the son of Roy and Gertrude Mudd Hack. He was a mechanic at the Ohio Valley Reload Company in Millwood. Richard was also a member of the Wilson United Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Elaine Swift Hack, four children, Sandra Mercer (Jerry Jones), Tony White, Tammy Mudd (Timmy) and Teresa Burnett (David) all of Caneyville. Richard is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, all who thought the world of him, his two sisters, Opal Reynolds and Alma Bratcher of Caneyville, two brothers, Clifton Hack of Caneyville and Roger Hack of Morgantown and several nieces and nephews. He will sadly be missed by his little dog Spanky.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his three brothers Larry, Hershel and Amos Hack, three grandsons, Richard Jones, Rylee Ashbough and William Blunk Jr, and one nephew Trenton Hack.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro. Joe Williams and Bro. Mickey Coats will be officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville from: 400 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday and from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 pm. Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
Allen S. Tomes
Allen S. Tomes, age 62, of Caneyville passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield, KY.
He was born on March 13, 1950 in Grayson County, the son of Willard Noel and Cuba S. Tomes. He was a residential construction worker. Allen was a member of Beech Grove United Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son Chuck Tomes (MyLennia), his daughter Angela Scott (Tommy), a granddaughter Cortney Tomes, 2 grandsons Jared Tomes and Johnny Vaughan, 4 nephews Robbie Embry, Terry Embry, Jerry Embry, and Eddie Tomes, and 3 nieces Robin Hayes, Sherry Duvall, and Sharon Egley. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his two sisters Sylvia Embry and Sue Decker.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro. Howard Decker will be officiating. Burial will be in the South Cemetery.

Jerry B. Frank
Jerry B. Frank, 65, of Caneyville passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at the Professional Care Health & Rehab Center in Hartford.
He was born on October 29, 1946 in Grayson County, the son of Robert Lincoln and Lucy Kipper Frank. Jerry was a carpenter. He also loved to play music and was an avid rabbit hunter.
He is survived by his 2 sons Jerry Embry (Devon) of Caneyville and Chad Clemons (Shelly) of Leitchfield, 5 grandchildren, 6 sisters Jeraline Lacefield, Marjorie Payton, Mary Crain and Linda Crain, all of Caneyville, Aline Garner and Brenda Beasley both of Morgantown, and 6 brothers James, Thomas, and Jimmy all of Caneyville, David and Herman both of Morgantown, and Donnie Joe of Texas. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Elmer Frank and three sisters Catherine Torrance, Virginia Simerly, and Jean Woolen.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro. Charles Lacefield will be officiating. Burial will be in the Frank and Embry Cemetery.

Oval “Ollie” Dotson
Oval “Ollie” Dotson, age 80, of Louisville, KY passed away Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Hosparus Center in Louisville, KY.
He was born on March 29, 1932 in Butler County, the son of the late Ernest and Victoria Lacefield Dotson. “Ollie” was of the Baptist Faith and was retired from the Ford Motor Company in Louisville.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Dotson of Louisville, one son, Ron Dotson of Danville, KY, two daughters, Sherry Jaggers and her Steve, and Karen Wright all of Louisville, KY, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his late wife, Christeen Geary Dotson, his daughter, Marsha Kannapel, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro. Stanley Elmore will be officiating. Burial will be in the Yeaman Cemetery.

Evellein Payton
Evellein Payton, 69, of Caneyville passed away Friday, November 9, 2012 in Leitchfield, KY.
She was born on February 11, 1943 in Grayson County, the daughter of the late Cecil and Dorothy (Woosley) Parks. She was a homemaker and housekeeper for several in the community. She was a member of First Apostolic Church of Millwood.
She is survived by her two sons, Steve Payton and Scott Payton and his wife Nina all of Caneyville and three grandchildren, Shae Ann Neighbors and her husband Travis, Leslie Payton, and Grayson Payton. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Leland, one brother Dewayne Parks and one sister Virginia.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Apostolic Church of Millwood. Bro. George Langdon will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Cemetery.

Thelma G. Renfrow
Thelma G. Renfrow, 85, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the Kindred Nursing & Rehab Center in Louisville, KY.
She was born on May 26, 1927 in Ohio County, the daughter of William Walter and Effie Renfrow. She was a homemaker and an Eastern Star. She was also a member of West Broadway Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Lendal Renfrow of Louisville, one daughter, Janie Rodgers (Homer) of Phoenix, AZ, one brother, Hayden Renfrow (Dorothy) of Shepherdsville, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Ray Renfrow.
Funeral services will be Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro. Frankie Skipworth will be officiating. Burial will be in the Brooklyn Cemetery.
