Mrs. Mary T. Grubb, age 75, of Louisville, Ky., formerly of Brandenburg, Ky., died Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at her residence.
Mrs. Grubb was an active member of the Meade County Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph G. and Elsie M. Johnston Higdon; and her Husband, Alexander Grubb on December 17, 1985.
Mrs. Grubb is survived by six children, Vanessa Suffoletta, Louisville, Monica Sue (Kevin) Spratt, Taylorsville, Ky., Karen (Doug) Stiff, Pamela (Larry) Simpson, both of Brandenburg, Alexander Grubb, Jr. of Etowah, NC, and Bryant (Jeannie) Grubb, Mt. Washington, Ky., two Brothers, Layman Higdon, IN, and Daymond Higdon, both of Clarkson, Ky., five sisters, Louise Vaughn, Anna Jean White, Polly Daniel, Trensa Findley, all of Louisville, and Janie Schimmels, Big Clifty, Ky. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and eight great–grandchildren.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, from St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Brandenburg.
Burial in St. George Cemetery.

James L. Tarrence
James L. Tarrence, age 72, of Louisville, Ky., passed away Saturday, June 13, 2009 in Louisville.
He was born January 30, 1937 in Grayson County, the son of Luke Tarrence and Mary Lee (Mollyhorn) Tarrence.
He is survived by his wife, Neomia; one son, Harold (Betty); one daughter, Vicki Lynn (Jerry); two step-daughters, Charlene (Larry), and Darlene (Jorge); five brothers, Kendall, Glendall, Bill, Ricky and Mike Tarrence; four sisters, Betty Kerr, Tootsie Bratcher, Brenda Priest and Marcel Dockery. Also surviving are three grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Dermitt Funeral Home, in Caneyville, with Bro. Bill Logsdon officiating.
Burial will be in the Tarrence Cemetery.
Aileen Lush
Aileen Lush, age 82, of Leitchfield, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009 in Leitchfield.
She was born September 09, 1926. She was a retired Machine Operator at Vermont American, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clevie Lush; her parents, Charles and Temple Puckett Smith; and a sister, Mary Laymon.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Phillip Lush (Penny Miller) of Elizabethtown, Ky.; two sisters, Rita Alvey of Louisville, Ky., and Sue Kipper of Leitchfield; one brother, Bruce Smith of Leitchfield; and her special family, “The Franks Family.”
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Randy Howard.
Burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
Watson-Oller Funeral Home, in Leitchfield, was in charge of the arrangements.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m., with Rosary at 7:30 p.m.
Lena M. Coats Shepherd
Lena M. Coats Shepherd, age 94, of Leitchfield, died Sunday, April 16, 2006 at her residence.
She was born May 25, 1911 in Edmonson County, Ky., the daughter of Rev. J C and Maude Smith McCrady. She was a member of the Providence Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Audrey Coates; and four grandchildren.
She is survived by four daughters, Laverne Shepherd and Wanda Clyde, both of Shepherdsville, Ky., Juanita Ross of Georgia, and Dorothy Hardin of Florida; two sons, Thomas Coates and Junior Randall Coates, both of Leitchfield; four sisters, Marie Stevens of Elizabethtown, Ky., Blanch Kendrick of Florida, Mary Jewell of Battletown, Ky., and Ruby Jones of Louisville, Ky.; and one brother, Berthel McCrady of Leitchfield. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, Russ, Pete, Phillip, Denny, Darla, Sandy, Kenny, Denise, Rochell, Brian, Greg, Tammy and Michelle; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Bro. Ed Dermitt and Bro. Edward Cockriel officiating.
Burial was in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens.
Mildred Paulin
Mildred Paulin, age 80, of Vine Grove, Ky., died Sunday, April 16, 2006 at her residence.
She was born December 22, 1925. She was retired from Allgood Foods, and a member of Mt. Hebron Gospel Mission Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis E. Paulin; and her parents, Will Tom and Iva Mae Dennis.
She is survived by three daughters, Nina Brooks and Barbara Watkins, both of Louisville, Ky., and Patricia Bratcher of Vine Grove; one son, Ricky Paulin of Louisville; three brothers, Harl Dennis of Hardin Co., Ky., Mitchell Dennis of Upton, Ky., and Hubert Dennis of Mt. Washington, Ky.; three sisters, Virginia Tucker of Louisville, Margaret Ray of Breckinridge Co., Ky., and Earlene Powell of Hardin County. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Mt. Hebron Gospel Mission Church with Bro. Arthur Bagbee officiating.
Burial was in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
Thomas Ray “T.J.” Hayse, Jr.
Thomas Ray “T.J.” Hayse, Jr., age 26, of Elizabethtown, Ky., died Saturday, April 15, 2006 at his residence.
He was a former employee of Proffitt's, and a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his parents, Thomas Hayse Sr. and Sherrille Browning Hayse of Elizabethtown; one sister, Stephanie Lindsey of Elizabethtown; his grandmother, Wilma Browning of Bloomington, Ind.; and his fiance, Laura Johnson of Elizabethtown.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Mildred Hayse and Thomas Lester Browning.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. EDT Thursday, April 20, 2006 in the chapel of Dixon-Atwood & Trowbridge Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Rev. Mike Kirby officiating.
