She was born February 19, 1925 in Big Clifty, Ky., as the daughter of Briscoe and Carrie Smallwood Finch.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Deweese.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, August 12, 2004 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield.
Burial was in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens.
Kannetha Jean Carroll
1958-2002
Kannetha Jean Carroll, 44, of Leitchfield died Tuesday, August 14, 2002 at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville.
She was born on June 14, 1958 as the daughter of Harry Carl "Buddy" and Katie Lee Smothers Ward.
She worked for the Center for Accessible Living and a member of the New Life Assembly of God.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Carroll of Leitchfield; one son, John Wesley of Carroll of Leitchfield and one brother, Buddy Ward of Jasper, IN.
Funeral services were held on Friday, August 16, 2002 at the home of Watson and Hunt Funeral Directors.
Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery.
Caroline B. Logsdon
1922-2002
Caroline B. Logsdon, age 79, of Leitchfield died on Saturday, November 9, 2002 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.
She was born on December 24, 1922 in Jefferson, Georgia as the daughter of Bascomb and Lorraine Chandlar Barnett.
She is survived by her husband, Otto Logsdon of Leitchfield; one son, Charles Michael Ray; one daughter-in-law, Sandra Ray of Georgia; two sisters, Doris Groceman and Betty Johns, both of Georgia; two grandchildren, Michael Todd Ray and Kelly Ray Hulsey, both of Georgia; and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at the home of Watson & Hunt Funeral Directors in Leitchfield with Rev. Damon R. Lasley Jr. officiating.
Burial was in the Logsdon Cemetery.
Sister Marie H. Johnson
Sister Marie H. Johnson, SCN, formerly Sister Joseph Damien, 78, died on Sunday, May 26 at the Nazareth Home in Louisville.
She was a native of St. Lawrence, KY and a member of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth for 61 years.
She served as a childcare worker and in SCN Community Service in Arkansas, Kentucky and Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Norris Johnson; father, David Johnson; two sisters, Catherine Johnson, SCN, and Francis Johnson and one brother, David Marie Johnson OSU.
She is survived by seven sisters, Theresa Johnson of Louisville, Stella Howe of Philpot, KY, Alma Higdon of Clarkson, Maxentia Howell of Owensboro, Rose Theresa Johnson, OSU of Caneyville, Rose Karen Johnson, OSU of Greenville, Evelyn Melton of Cedar Hill, TN and one brother, Frank Johnson of Evansville, IN.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 30 at St. Vincent Church, Nazareth with Ratterman and Sons Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Burial was in the Nazareth Cemetery.

Leona M. Decker, 68, of Beaver Dam died on Sunday, August 4, 2002 at the Owensboro Mercy Hospital.
She was born on September 23, 1933 as the daughter of Marion and Artelia Stone Patterson.
She was a member of the Olaton Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Russell "Pete" Decker of Beaver Dam; one son, James Decker of New Mexico; one daughter, Rita Decker of Chicago, IL; one brother, C.R. Patterson of Michigan; four sisters, Hazel Seabrook of Florida, Earlene Ford of Olaton, Josie Dickerson of Beaver Dam and Nora Wooten of Michigan; two grandchildren, Nigel Decker of New Mexico and Natalee Decker of IL.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, August 8, 2002 at the Olaton Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Veteto officiating.
Burial was in the Olaton Cemetery.
Janavea Gibson
Janavea Gibson, 73, of 329 N. Patterson Street, Clarkson died on Friday, May 31, 2002 in Louisville.
She was born on May 11, 1929 as the daughter of the late William Bryan Skaggs and Ethel Bell Skaggs.
She was a housewife and baby sitter and a member of the Little Flock Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by on son, Gary Wayne Gibson; sister, Anna Doris Cann and one brother, Berdette Skaggs.
She is survived by one sister, Lorene Williams of Clarkson; one brother, William Glenn Skaggs and seventeen nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Monday, June 3, 2002 at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Larry Bell officiating.
Burial was in the Clarkson Cemetery.
