Dillard Ray Witten, 76, formerly of Grayson County died on Sunday, March 3, 2002 at Kindred Hospital in Louisville.
He was a retired auto body repairman, an Army WWII veteran and a member of the Highview Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary L. Witten; four daughters, Charlene Ellis, Linda K. Kemper, Jean M. Blain, Roberta R. Reiter; one sister, Leora Dennis; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 6, 2002 at Arch L. Heady and Son.
Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Lillie "Del" Kreutzer
1902-2002
Lillie Del Kreutzer, age 74, of Paducah died on Wednesday, December 4, 2002 at Western Baptist Hospital.
She was born in Natchez, Mississippi. She was retired from Western Baptist Hospital as an Admissions clerk. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and a member of Presbyterian Women of the Church, Guild Circle, and was a mentoring mother for Paducah Cooperative Ministries.
She was preceded in death by her parents: James and Mattie (Bowman) Cowan; three sisters and four brothers.
She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Fasmire of Paducah; two sons, Bruce Wayne Kreutzer and Father Isaac Daniel Kreutzer both of Paducah; three grandchildren, Britney Fesmire Barrlett, Matthew Wayne Kreutzer, and Travis Scott Krautzer all of Paducah; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 7, 2002 at gravesite with Rev. Larry Walker officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah.
Thomas Raiford Gibson
Thomas R. "Gib" Gibson, 58, of 825 Madison Street, Hartford, KY died on Saturday, June 15, 2002 at his home.
He was born on March 28, 1944, in Teague, TX, as the son of Raiford C. Gibson and Pauline Foreman Hair.
He was employed at Hausner Hard-Chrome of Kentucky in Owensboro, a member of Centertown Baptist Church and a U. S. Army Vietnam Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Duke Gibson of Hartford; five daughters, Leah Wardrip of Leitchfield, Jill Jameson of Hartford, Jayn Adkison of Bowling Green, Sally Hancock and Sandra Gibson both of Rockport, IN; seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and his mother and step father, Pauline Foreman Hair and Gene Hair of Big Pine, CA.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 19, 2002 at Miller Schapmire Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Gregory officiating.
Burial was in the Oakwood C emetery in Hartford.
In lieu of flowers, the family request expressions of sympathy take the form of donation to the Hospice of Ohio County.
J.B. Cripps
J.B. Cripps, 54, of Big Clifty died on Saturday, June 15, 2002 at his residence.
He was born on November 18, 1947, in Hardin County, as the son of Noah Edgar and Sylvia Catherin Clark Cripps.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his father, Noah Edgar Cripps.
He is survived by his mother, Sylvia Catherin Cripps of Elizabethtown; five brothers and sisters, Catherine Harp of Sweden, Harold Cripps, Darlene Keown, Michael Cripps all of Big Clifty and Louise Alvey of Georgetown, IN.
Funeral services were held on Monday, June 17, 2002 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.
Burial was in the St. Mary Cemetery in Big Clifty.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help with burial expenses.
Alta Blair
Alta Blair, 77, of Louisville died on Monday, May 27, 2002 at Audubon Hospital.
She was born on June 8, 1924.
She was a member of the Cherry Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Cub Run.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Randy Blair; two sons, Rev. Jim Blair and Larry Blair; three daughters, Barbara Smith, Doris Cull and Gail Kelly; three sisters, Aleen Mullins, Rowena Trammell and Margie Middleton; one brother, Rev. Melvin Strange; four granddaughters and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 30, 2002 at First United Baptist Church in Louisville with Owen Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Burial was in the Lone Hill United Baptist Church Cemetery.
