Alice Yvonne Jarboe, age 64, died on Saturday, April 5, 2003 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
She was born on May 7, 1938 in Breckinridge County, Kentucky as the daughter of Eddie Lee Stevenson and Verda Gaither.
She was retired from Breckinridge County Extension Office as a program assistant after 26 years. She was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of Breckinridge County Historical Society and the Ohio County Muzzle Loaders Club. She attended Corinth Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel Fentress.
She is survived by her husband, Donald E. Jarboe of McDaniels, Kentucky; two daughters, Cathy Fentress of Lewisburg, Tennessee and Donna Dyer of Nashville, Tennessee; one son, Chris Jarboe of McDaniels; one sister, Bernice Embry of Westview, Kentucky; four brothers, Darrell, Danny and Ricky Stevenson, all of Hardinsburg, Kentucky, and Gary Stevenson of Westview.
Also surviving are 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday, April 7, 2003 at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home with Rev. Jake Huffman officiating.
Burial was in the Sand Knob Cemetery.
Jessica Dawn Darnell Peters and Trenton Dewayne Peters
1982-2003
Jessica Dawn Darnell Peters, age 20, of Big Clifty, Kentucky, died as the result of an automobile accident on Friday, June 6, 2003 which also claimed the life of her unborn son, Trenton Dewayne Peters.
Jessica was born on June 14, 1982. She was an employee at Ft. Knox National Company, and was a 2000 graduate from Grayson County High School. She attended Elizabethtown Community College and St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Clarkson.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Issac Ballard; and her nephew, Charles Devon Logsdon.
She is survived by her father, Doug Darnell of Big Clifty; her mother, Cathy Ballard of Bardstown, Kentucky; her brother, Charles David Logsdon of Rineyville, Kentucky; her sister, Mekenzie Ballard of Bardstown; one half-brother, Chris Lampton of Leitchfield; and her fiance, Travis Peters of Cecilia, Kentucky. Also surviving are her maternal grandmother, Barbara Jennewein of Big Clifty; her paternal grandmother, Mary Darnell of Cecilia, and her paternal grandfather, Sherman Darnell of Big Clifty.
Funeral services for Jessica Dawn Darnell Peters and Trenton Dewayne Peters were held on Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Rev. Martin E. Hayes and Rev. Allen Basinger officiating.
Burial was in the Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Rogers-Oller Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Thomas Ray Mudd
1935-2003
Thomas Ray Mudd, age 67, of Caneyville, died on Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was born on August 3, 1935 in Grayson County as the son of Tom and Rhea Higdon Mudd.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Stinson Mudd; one daughter, Carolyn Richeson of Ekron; two sons, Kenny Mudd of Caneyville and Timmy Mudd of Leitchfield; one brother, Donny Mudd of Caneyville; three sisters, Maudie Dowell of Brooks, Hallie Nelson of Louisville, and Mary Ann Dennison of Leitchfield. Also surviving are four grandchildren, one step-grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held on Friday, July 11, 2003 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel.
Burial was in the Wilson Cemetery in Caneyville.
Millie L. Langley
1908-2003
Millie L. Langley, age 95, of Leitchfield died on Monday, July 28, 2003 in Leitchfield.
She was born on April 20, 1908. She was a housewife and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Langley; her parents, Robert and Ethel Whitaker Dennis; four sisters, Pansy Dudgeon, Dorothy Dennis, Bertha Dennis, and Pauline Dennis; four brothers, Herman Dennis, John Sam Dennis, Ario Dennis, and Will Tom Dennis.
She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Leora Dennis of Leitchfield and Gladys Langley of Indiana. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 31, 2003 at St. Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Martin E. Hayes officiating.
Burial was in the St. Francis Cemetery.
Erma Nell Busby
1930-2002
Erma Nell Busby, age 72, of Leitchfield died on Tuesday, December 24, 2002 at the Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield.
She was born on December 08, 1930 in Grayson County as the daughter of Luke and Mary Lee Mollyhorn Tarrance.
She was a retired seamstress of IMS and was of the Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by three daughters, Theressa Farris of Millwood, Kentucky, Lesa Ann Davis of Clarkson, Kentucky and Joetta Willis of Leitchfield; six brothers, Lyndal and Kendal both of Louisville, Kentucky, Glendal, Michael, Billy Dale, and Ricky Tarrance all of Caneyville, Kentucky; four sisters, Tootsie Bratcher and Brenda Priest both of Caneyville, Kentucky; Betty Kerr of Leitchfield and Marcella Dockery of Morgantown, Kentucky. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Crissy Joann Farris, Eric Todd and Travis Lucas Frank, and Dana Jo and Diana Lee Willis, one great grandchild, Brannon Farris.
Funeral services were held on Friday, December 27, 2002 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with the Rev. Nathan Lowe officiating.
Burial was in the Bates Cemetery.
