She was preceded in death by her husband, J. V. McGrew; her father and mother, Sylvester Milliner and Laura Clark Milliner; four sons, Robert L. McGrew, Joy Edward McGrew, Joseph Grant McGrew and Larry Jude McGrew.
She is survived by three sons, Murrell McGrew of Roundhill, Kentucky, Jerry Gale McGrew of Mingus, Texas, Thomas Dale McGrew of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; and one daughter, Sister Ann McGrew of Owensboro, Kentucky. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 28, 2002 at St. Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Martin E. Hayes officiating.
Burial was in the St. Paul Cemetery.
Maxine Buckles
1933-2003
Maxine Buckles, age 69, of Leitchfield, died on Thursday, March 27, 2003 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
She was born on August 9, 1933 in Leitchfield as the daughter of Walter and Amy Kinkade Bradley. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry.
She is survived by three sons, Steve Buckles of Leitchfield, Tim Buckles of Worthville, Kentucky, and Keith Buckles of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; one brother, Shirley Ray Bradley of Hernado Beach, Florida; and one sister, Fay Embry of Leitchfield. Also surviving is one grandchild, Chelly Lee of Leitchfield.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 29, 2003 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.
Burial was in the Sanders Cemetery.
Lonnie Sherman Simpson
1919-2003
Lonnie Sherman Simpson, age 84, of Radcliff, Kentucky, died on Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
He was a Veteran of WWII and retired from the United States Army after serving 26 years. He worked two years N.A.F. and also retired after 18 years of Civil Service. He was a member of Stithton Baptist Church in Radcliff, KY Eastern Star Caneyville Chapter #27, Grand Logde of KY F.&A.M.; #635, Caneyville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Simpson and Callie Nash; two sisters, Flora Williams and Sybina Simpson, all of Leitchfield; and one brother, Everette Simpson.
He is survived by his wife, Janie B. Simpson of Radcliff; his daughter, Teresa A. Simpson of Chester, Virginia; one brother, Lewis N. Simpson of Cecilia, Kentucky; and one brother and sister-in-law, Charles B. and Elizabeth Simpson of Kaiserlautern, Germany; three sisters, Wanda Carby, Margie Meredith, and Billie Ruth of Leitchfield.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2003 at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff with Brother Wayne Lipscomb officiating.
Burial will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetery in Caneyville, Kentucky. at 3 p.m. E.D.T.
Visitation will be at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff on Thursday, May 29, 2003, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Friday after 12 noon.

Zelphia Mercer, age 84, of Leitchfield died on Sunday, August 17, 2003 at Leitchfield Healthcare Manor.
She was born on May 16, 1919 in Grayson County as the daughter of Willis and Nancy Jane Decker-Scott.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hezzie Mercer.
She is survived by five daughters, Ethel Noble of Clarkson, Billie Clemons of Peonia, MyLennia King and Carol Morford, both of Leitchfield, and Debbie Gentry of Ind.; two sons, Ed Mercer of Ind. and Carlos Mercer of LaGrange. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 19, 2003 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield.
Burial was in the Walter Cook Cemetery.
Gracie M. Forbes
1914-2003
Gracie M. Forbes, age 89, of Louisville died on Thursday, November 13, 2003 at the Baptist Hospital East in Louisville.
She was born March 28, 1914 to James and Siny Hubbard Burnett.
She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Forbes Jr.; three grandchildren, Brad Dunn, Connie Dunn, and Lisa Stillwell; two great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Alvin Dunn.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 15, 2003 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel.
Burial was in the Shady Grove Cemetery.
