Chuck "Sonny" Musick, age 70, of Henderson, Kentucky, died on Tuesday, April 1, 2003 in Evansville, Indiana.
He was born on May 16, 1932. He was a retired bus driver for Oakland California Transit, and an Air Force Veteran of Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, John Musick and Lizzie Cockerel Musick; and one sister, Alberta Fugate.
He is survived by his special honey of 32 years, Dorothy; his sister, Dorothy Musick Hanka of Louisville, Kentucky; one step-daughter, Sandra Hayse of Leitchfield; one step-son, Ronald Carter of Leitchfield; and one step-son-in-law, Robert Hayse of Leitchfield. Also surviving a special grandchild, Felicia Tate; five nephews, four nieces, six step-grandchildren, six great-nieces and nephews, eight great-great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Friday, April 4, 2003 at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Brooks officiating.
Burial was in the Salem Cemetery-Edmonson County, Kentucky.
Veda Embry Bryant
1921-2003
Veda Embry Bryant, age 81,of Caneyville, Kentucky, died on Friday, May 30, 2003 at Leitchfield Health Care.
She was born on July 14, 1921 in Butler County, Kentucky as the daughter of Presley and Ella (Bratcher) Embry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Espie Bryant; one son, Wendell; and one granddaughter, Leslia Renee.
She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Oller of Olaton, Kentucky; and one son, Bobby Bryant of Falls of Rough, Kentucky. Also surviving are two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, June 1, 2003 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville with Bro. William Cook officiating.
Burial was in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.
Glenn Edwin Richardson
1920-2003
Glenn Edwin Richardson, age 83, died on Sunday, July 27, 2003 at his residence.
He was a native of summit, a Kentucky Colonel, and was a life-long and oldest member of Summit United Methodist Church, where he served in many capacities.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Julia Nugent Richardson; one son, Jim Richardson of Summit; one daughter, Phyllis Lasley of Glendale; one sister, Catherine Stelmokas of Rineyville; two grandchildren, Jamie Richardson and Gena Baker. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren, Bailey Richardson and Christopher Baker; one step-grandchild, Tim Lasley; and three step-great-grandchildren, Tyler Lasley, Katelyn Lasley, and Jordan Lasley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Emma Pearl Richardson; and two brothers, Bluford Richardson and William Walter "Bud" Richardson.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at Summit United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Rounsaville and Rev. Allen Basinger officiating.
Burial was in the Summit Cemetery.
Charlene Kiper
1933-2003
Charlene Kiper, age 70, of Leitchfield died on Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at her residence.
She was born on November 18, 1933 in Grayson County as the daughter of Homer and Shellie Burkhead Clark.
She is survived by her husband, Gordon Kiper of Leitchfield; two daughters, Linda Dennis of Hudson and LaVonna Brock of Big Clifty; five brothers, Harold Clark of Louisville, Clyde, Junior, Charles, and John Clark, all of Indiana; three sisters, Delois Griffith, Cathy Nix, and Patricia Franklin, all of Louisville. Also surviving are five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Harry Lee Tuncil.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 22, 2003 at the Mt. Hebron Church in Leitchfield.
Burial was in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
Watson & Hunt Funeral Directors were in charge of the arrangements.
John Riley Milliner
1914-2002
John Riley Milliner, age 88, of Leitchfield died on Monday, December 30, 2002 at his residence.
He was born on December 6, 1914.
He was a farmer and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He was married
for 63 years and was a devoted husband and father.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Martha Johnson Milliner and James Martin Milliner; two daughters, Carolyn Kipper and Martha Ann Milliner.
He is survived by his wife, Eunice Lush Milliner of Leitchfield; two sons, Mark Milliner of Leitchfield, and Martin Milliner of Big Clifty, Kentucky; four daughters, Rita Griffith of Paducah, Kentucky, and Judith McGrew of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Brenda Johnston of Wax, Kentucky, and Theresa Milliner of Leitchfield. Also surviving 25 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Friday, January 3, 2003 at St. Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Martin E. Hayes officiating.
Burial was in the St. Paul Cemetery.
