Joyce Raye Tungate, age 67, of Jeffersontown, formerly of Leitchfield, died Sunday, August 29, 2004 at her home.
She was born August 9, 1937 as the daughter of Raymond and Bessie Rusch Reichenbach. She was a member of the Kentucky Daycare Association and owned and operated a daycare for 26 years. She was retired from Jefferson County Public Schools and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Jeffersontown.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Leander Tungate Jr.; two daughters, Debra Lee Sikorsky and Donna R. Burgan (Chad), both of Jeffersontown; one sister, Nancy Shartzer of Leitchfield; and one brother, Raymond Reichenbach Jr. of Salvisa, Ky. Also surviving are six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. E.D.T. on Thursday, September 2, 2004 at Foreman Funeral Home, 10600 Taylors-ville Rd., Jeffersontown, Ky.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Memorial gifts may be made to Hopewell Baptist Church or Hospice of Louisville.
Judy Lynn Larkins
1962-2003
Judy Lynn Larkins, age 41, of Louisville died on Thursday, November 27, 2003 at her residence in Bullitt County.
She was born on June 26, 1962. She was disabled.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mack Larkins.
She is survived by her mother, Mildred Reiter Larkins of Hillview; one sister, Vivian Perkins of Georgetown; three brothers, Robert Larkins of Georgetown, David and Kenneth Larkins, both of Hillview; and her fianc/, Joe Gibson.
Funeral services were held on Monday, December 1, 2003 at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home.
Burial was in the Gibson Cemetery.
Frances B. Johnson
1942-2003
Frances B. Johnson, age 61, of Leitchfield died on Sunday, November 30, 2003 at her residence.
She was born on July 16, 1942. She was a member of Leitchfield Christian Church, American Legion Auxiliary 81, Shrine Club and past President of AARP.
She is survived by her husband, James Nello Johnson; one daughter and son-in-law, June Johnson-Fulp and Kelly Fulp; two sisters, Marie Smigelski and Barbara Muller of Ohio. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Margaret Frances and Amanda Lynn Fulp; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Agnes Smigelski.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home with Bro. Lee Schroerlucke officating.
Burial was in Memory Gardens.
Eldridge H. Tucker
1927-2003
Eldridge H. Tucker, age 75, of Louisville, Kentucky died on Monday, April 14, 2003 at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville.
He was born September 28, 1927 in Hudson, Kentucky as the son of Glennie Dale and Lily LaGrande Tucker.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Dennis Tucker of Louisville; and one daughter, Michelle Sheffield of Dryridge, Kentucky. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Amber and Tyler Sheffield, both of Dryridge; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 17, 2003 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield.
Burial was in the Hudson Cemetery in Hudson.
Ann Edith Bird
1916-2003
Ann Edith Bird, age 87, of Leitchfield died on Thursday, November 27, 2003 in Louisville.
She was born on November 16, 1916. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Bird; a daughter, Mattie Jane Bird; one grandson, Robert Bird; and her parents, Jim and Janie Stevenson Ruth.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Elzie and Mary Bird, and Gordon and Bobbye Bird, both of Leitchfield; three sisters, Ruby Philpott and Betty Jo Cain, both of Louisville, and Virginia Stuffregen of Baltimore, MD. Also surviving are three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, November 30, 2003 at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home with Bro. Chester Shartzer officiating.
Burial was in the Layman Cemetery in Millwood.
Isabell Pence Rainey
1911-2002
Isabell Pence Rainey, age 90, died on Friday, December 6, 2002 at the home of her daughter in Bardstown.
She was born December 24, 1911 in Grayson County as the daughter of Mose and Helen Hart Pence.
She was a housewife and a member of Summit Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard Rainey; and two brothers, Hansie and Alfred Pence.
She is survived by three sons, Charles Rainey of Big Clifty, Paul Rainey of Summit, and Holmes Rainey of New Albany, Indiana; eight daughters, Edna Pence of Big Clifty, Nellie Hodge and Margie Duvall of Summit, Helen Clemons of Clarkson, Reba Mathews of Smithland, Imogene Harrison of Bardstown, Gail Spencer of Cecil, Georgia, and Sue Clark of St Paul; one sister, Ethel Mae Pence of Anneta. She is also survived by 37 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren, and 45 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday, December 9, 2002 at the home of Watson & Hunt Funeral Directors in Leitchfield.
Burial was in the New Hope Church of Christ Cemetery in Big Clifty.
