Lorene Stanton Haycraft, 73, of Leitchfield, died Saturday, August 2, 2003 at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, Ky.
She was born on April 24, 1930, in Grayson County, Ky., the daughter of Lawrence and Eula Williams Stanton. She was a housewife and a member of Broadford Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Franklin, Eugene, and Larry Stanton, and two sisters, Estelle Dennis and Louise Downs.
She is survived by her husband Hillman Haycraft of Leitchfield, a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Kathy Haycraft of Leitchfield, a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Wendell Logsdon of Leitchfield, two brothers, Rev. Ab Stanton of Upton, Ky., and Conroy Stanton of Leitchfield, three sisters, Dorothy Branham of Ind., Sue Constant of Elizabethtown, Ky., and Winona Hawkins of Clarkson, Ky. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 5 at 3:30 p.m. at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Rev. Ab Stanton will be officiating. Burial will be in the Stanton Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield after 6 p.m. Sunday.
Ronald Wilson
1949-2002
Ronald Wilson, age 53, of Louisville died on Friday, December 6, 2002 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
He was born on April 10, 1949 as the son of Ardinal and Macy Ingram Wilson. He was a carpenter.
He is survived by two sons, Brian Keith Wilson of Louisville and Eric Alex Wilson of Caneyville; his mother, Macy Mollyhorn of Caneyville; one brother, Steve Wilson of Elizabeth, Indiana; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, December 8, 2002 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville.
Burial was in the Upper Smith Cemetery with the Rev. Edward Dermitt officiating.
Betty Angeline Hatfield Oliver
1930-2003
Betty Angeline Hatfield Oliver, age 72, of Clarkson, Kentucky, died on Monday, February 3, 2003 at University Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
She was born on February 13, 1930.
She was a retired farmwife, farm owner, homemaker and a member of Leitchfield Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Gilbert E. and Frankie Hart Hatfield, and her husband, Charles Robert Oliver.
She is survived by one son, Robert "Ollie" Oliver of Clarkson; one daughter, Patricia "Patty" Oliver of Clarkson; two brothers, Reese Hatfield of Leitchfield and Ray Hatfield of Owensboro, Kentucky; and one sister, Imogene Redmon of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 6, 2003 at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home with Bro. Charlie Smith and Mark Napier officiating.
Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery in Big Clifty, Kentucky.
Elsie Morrison
1918-2003
Elsie Morrison, age 84, of Leitchfield died on Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
She was born on April 15, 1918 in Butler County, Kentucky as the daughter of Comodore Nash and the granddaughter of Arthur B and Ionia Nash.
She was a retired teacher and a housewife and a charter member of the Clearview Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Duvall Morrison; and one grandchild.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Paul Gibson of Clarkson, Kentucky, and Sharon and Eddie Majors of Leitchfield. Also surviving are six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, and special friends, Jean and Pam Fowler.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 12, 2003 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.
Burial was in the Shrewsbury Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Clearview Baptist Church building fund.
Stella Watts
1917-2002
Stella Watts, 85, of Elizabethtown died on Friday, August 16, 2002 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
She was born on July 23, 1917 in Breathitt County as the daughter of William and Martha Watts-Campbell.
She was a member of the Severns Valley Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ora Watts; one son, Wendell Douglas Watts, and one daughter, Judith Ann Campbell.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Watts of Elizabethtown; one sister, Lola Haddix of Albany, Kentucky; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday, August 19, 2002 at the Watson and Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield.
Burial was in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.
