Pauline VanMeter, 56 of Leitchfield, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003 at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
She was born on Sept. 25, 1947, in Grayson County, the daughter of Eddie Leroy and Kathleen Cockeriel. She was a Certified Medical Technician, worked for Community Based Services, and was a member of the Clarkson Church of Christ and Grayson County Community Action Board.
She was preceded in death by her parents, foster parents, Burt and Eller Cook; her husband, Larry VanMeter and a grandson Joseph Dewayne VanMeter.
She was survived by three sons, Larry Dewayne VanMeter of Georgia; James Kevin VanMeter and Shannon Ray VanMeter, both of Leitchfield; one daughter, Paula J. VanMeter Sandlin of Leitchfield. Also surviving are four grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be for the family only on Monday, Oct. 27, 2003. Burial will be in the McGrew Cemetery.
Theo Parrigan Meuth
1913-2003
Theo Parrigan Meuth, age 90, of St. Petersburg, Florida died on Friday, September 26, 2003 at Palms of Pasadena Hospital in South Pasadena, Florida.
She was born on September 25, 1913 as the daughter of the late Morton and Edna Parrigan of Leitchfield. She was a member of Transfiguration Catholic Church in St. Petersburg. She and her husband owned and operated Meuth's Tailoring shop in Hodgenville in the 1960's and 70's. She was also a Kentucky Colonel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rome Michael Meuth.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Foley of Burnsville, NC and Josephine Underwood of Blythewood, SC; two sons, Michael Lee Meuth of Wauseon, Ohio and George Morton Meuth of St. Petersburg; three sisters, Margaret Pax, Marie Parrigan Willey, and Jean Parrigan, all of Schenectady, New York; and one brother, Elmer Parrigan of Leitchfield. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 13, 2003 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church with Rev. Jason McClure officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Louis Cemetery in Henderson.
Agneta Meredith
1925-2003
Agneta Meredith, age 78, of Leitchfield died on Thursday, October 9, 2003 in Cromwell.
She was born on June 25, 1925 in Leitchfield as the daughter of Elmer and Mae Higdon Ferguson. She was a housewife and was a member of Anneta United Baptist Church and the Anneta Homemakers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleborn; and a son, Paul.
She is survived by three daughters, Karen Counts of Tenn., Sandy Kirtley of Louisville, and Denise Meredith of Cromwell; two brothers, Ray Ferguson of Leitchfield and Bill Ferguson of Louisville; three sisters, Vena Duvall and Laverne Grant, both of Louisville and Linda Parks of Elizabethtown. Also surviving are three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, October 12, 2003 at the Anneta United Baptist Church with Ed Dermitt officiating. Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield was in charge of the arrangements.
Burial was in the Anneta Cemetery.
Christopher Vean Decker
1975-2003
Christopher Vean Decker, age 28, of Leitchfield died on Sunday, October 5, 2003, as the result of an automobile accident in Leitchfield.
He was born on February 26, 1975 in Bowling Green as the son of Terry and Ellen Sanders Decker. He was a past member of the Muldraugh Lions Club and a graduate with honors from the ITT Technical College. He was a friend to many and stranger to none.
He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Decker.
He is survived by his mother, Ellen Sanders-Decker of Anneta; one daughter, Tarren Anne Decker of Leitchfield; one sister, Teri Lee Higgins of Montana; Paternal grandmother, Bonita Decker of Anneta; and his maternal grandparents, Elmer and Shirley Sanders of Louisville.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 10, 2003 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield.
Burial will be at the Sweeden Cemetery in Sweeden.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2003 at the home of Watson & Hunt Funeral Directors in Leitchfield.

William Thomas Benjamin
1937-2003
William Thomas Benjamin, age 66 of Leitchfield, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2003 at his residence.
He was born on July 30, 1937, in Grayson County, the son of Hubert and Susan Ellen Kennison Benjamin. He worked in timber and was a member of Mill Street Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Wright Benjamin.
He is survived by two sons, Gary dale Benjamin of Elizabethtown, and Michael Benjamin of Leitchfield; two grandchildren Kimberly and Jessica Benjamin.
Funeral services will be Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003 at 3 p.m. at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Brother Odell Embry will be officiating. Burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 11 a.m. Sunday until time of service.
