Ralph Nash, age 67, of Anneta died on Monday, February 16, 2004 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was born February 29, 1936, in Detroit, Mich., as the son of Joseph Warren and Johnnie McFadden Nash. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the Anneta Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Nash of Anneta; one sister, Joyce Feusner of Louisville; three step-children; nine step-grandchildren; and two nephews.
Funeral services were held on Friday, February 20, 2004 at the home of Watson & Hunt Funeral Directors in Leitchfield.
Loran Lee Williams, Sr.
1937-2004
Loran Lee Williams Sr., age 66, of Leitchfield died on Thursday, February 19, 2004 at his residence.
He was a retired forklift driver from Ford Motor Company.
He was born on Novemer 28, 1937 in Clarkson as the son of Jess and Bessie Mae Fulkerson Williams.
He is survived by three daughters, Deborah Jean Aebersold of Louisville, Karen S. Higdon of Leitchfield, and Kristy G. Pharris of Caneyville; three sons, Loran Lee Williams Jr. of Wimberley, Texas, Eric V. Williams of Bowling Green; and Erron R. Williams of Leitchfield; two sisters, Aileen Nichols of Clarkson and Loretta Probus of Louisville; four brothers, Damon Williams, Howard Williams of Clarkson; Royce Williams of Leitchfield, and Edward Williams. Also surviving is a best friend, Barbara Williams and ten grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, February 22, 2004 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.
Burial was in the Clarkson Cemetery.
Otis Bruce Goodman
1927-2004
Otis Bruce Goodman, age 76, of Caneyville died on Sunday, February 22, 2004 in Owensboro.
He was born on July 13, 1927 as the son of Otis and Florence Embry Goodman. He operated a Saw Mill, farmer, listened and supported WJCR and helped to send Bibles around the world.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by one sister, Essie Bratcher of Louisville; two brothers, Paul Goodman of Owensboro and Hobert Lee Goodman of Caneyville; and one sister-in-law, Bonnie Goodman of Caneyville. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Embry officiating.
Burial was in the Browns Cemetery in Caneyville.
Cheryl Jean Ford
1949-2004
Cheryl Jean Ford, age 54, of Falls of Rough died on Thursday, February 19, 2004 at her residence.
She was born on September 16, 1949 in Jefferson County as the daughter of Jack Joseph and Helen Carta Abby.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Ford of Falls of Rough; one daughter, Laura Marie Ford of Louisville; two sons, Jerry Lee Ford of Falls of Rough and Mark Ford of Louisville; her mother, Helen Abby of Louisville; two sisters, Donna Inman of Frankfort and Pam Ley of Louisville; one brother, Jack Abby of Louisville; and one grandson, Brandon Ford of Louisville.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Joseph Abby.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 21, 2004 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Rev. Roger Allen officiating.
Burial was in the Shady Grove Cemetery.
John Clark Gibson
1915-2004
John Clark Gibson, age 88, of Leitchfield died on Thursday, February 19, 2004 at Grayson Manor Nursing Home.
He was born on October 27, 1915 in Grayson County as the son of Theodore Gibson and Mellie Cardin. He was a retired farmer, a member of Clarkson Baptist Church, and a Mason.
He is survived by his wife, Frances (Washburn) Gibson of Leitchfield; one son, Clark Gibson of Leitchfield; and one sister, Leda Wheela of Louisville. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Hayley (Gibson) Thorpe and Shea Gibson, both of Bowling Green; and one great-grandson, Ducan Thorpe of Bowling Green.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 21, 2004 at Rogers-Oller Chapel with Rev. Art Hatfield and Rev. Arland Benningfield officiating.
Burial was in the Clarkson Cemetery.
Birdie Mae Hayse Stone
1930-2003
Birdie Mae Hayse Stone, age 73, of Falls of Rough died on Monday, February 9, 2004 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
She was born on April 18, 1930 in Grayson County as the daughter of Willie H. and Alice Vandeveer Hayes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Stone.
She is survived by one half brother, George Hayse of Louisville and one half sister, Loretta Johnson of Owensboro, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at the Shady Grove Cemetery at Falls of Rough with Rev. Roger Allen officiating.
Dermitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
