Henry Raymond Lucas, age 87, of Hudson, Ky., died on Monday, February 23, 2004 at the Medco Center of Hardinsburg.
He was born on March 31, 1916 in Breckinridge County as the son of Tom and Bessie Lucas. He was a retired farmer and carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Pancy Opal Miller Lucas of Hudson; two sons, Larry Lucas of Hudson and Junior Lucas of Harrodstown, Ky. Also surviving are five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Winston, Osborne, and Melvin Lucas; one sister, Lorene Miller; two half brothers, Lonard and Audie Lucas; and three half sisters, Icy McCombs, Nona Mercer, and Cozy Lucas.
Funeral services were held Thursday, February 26, 2004 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield.
Burial was in the Hudson Cemetery.
David Lee Cain
David Lee Cain, age 58, of Big Clifty, Ky., died on Sunday, May 23, 2004 at his residence.
He was born May 10, 1946 in Princeton, Ill., as the son of Adophus "Pete" Cain and Juanita Berg Cain. He was a self-employed welder, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and was a member of the Big Clifty (#599) and the Clarkson (#720) Wilhelm Masonic Lodges.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Lois Bradley Cain of Big Clifty; a step-daughter, Kim Ashley of Eastview, Ky.; a step-son, Shannon Cain of Flint Hill, Ky.; his parents, Pete and Juanita Cain of Big Clifty; three sisters, Arlene Cain and Martina Burkhead, both of Big Clifty, and Caroline Keown of Clarkson; three brothers, Michael of Big Clifty, Daniel of Elizabethtown, Ky., and Matthew Cain of New Castle, Ky.; two daughters, Dena Scarbrough of Ill. and Candy Mattingly of Clarkson, Ky.; and one son, Tony I. Cain of Missouri. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a special grandmother, Velma Kinnamon; and his paternal grandparents, Ki and Frances Cain.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Bro. Joe Brooks officiating.
Burial was in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Robert Kevin Clark
Robert Kevin Clark, age 43, of Leitchfield, died on Monday, May 31, 2004 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
He was born May 8, 1961 in Key West, Fla. as the son of Robert Eugene Clark and Joyce Pierce Carter. He was a computer specialist and was a member of the RSD Support Group.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Decker Clark of Leitchfield; two daughters, Jenifer and Melissa Clark, both of Leitchfield; one son, Andrew of Leitchfield; his mother and step-father, Joyce and W R Jr. Carter of Leitchfield; his father and step-mother, Robert and Barbara Clark of Clarkson, Ky.; one brother, Jeff Clark of Miss.; his maternal grandmother, Ina Pierce of Radcliff, Ky.
Funeral services were held on Friday, June 1, 2004 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.
Burial was in the Polyanne Cemetery.

Everett Quiggins
Everett Quiggins, age 88, of Caneyville, Ky., died on Sunday, May 23, 2004 in Caneyville.
He was born in Grayson Couny July 17, 1915 as the son of James Harvey and Ruthie Godsey Quiggins. He was a member and deacon of McGrady Creek Baptist Church, farmer, merchant, carpenter, Magistrate, Grayson County Hospital board member, Grayson County Library, member of the Caneyville Masonic Lodge #635, member of the Gideon Society, and a Soil Conservation District Supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Quiggins; his parents; one brother, Willis; and one sister, Amanda.
He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-laws, Richard and Joyce Quiggins of Lexington, and Paul and Mona Quiggins of Caneyville; two brothers, John G. and Harold E. Quiggins, both of Louisville; and two sisters, Jessie Q. Oster and Ruby Q. Cummings, both of Louisville. Also surviving are six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one step-grandchild.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville with Bro. Dick Campbell officiating.
Burial was in the McGrady Creek Cemetery.

Robert "Bob" Ward
Robert "Bob" Ward, age 91, of Big Clifty, Ky., died on Monday, May 31, 2004 in Glasgow, Ky.
He was born February 24, 1913. He was a retired construction worker and member of 576 Laborers Local Union.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Roenna Ward; one son, Robert Lee Ward; one daughter, Doris Hatfield; daughter-in-law, Mary Ward Tulley; and his parents, Dave and Ella Manion Ward.
He is survived by one sister, Ruby Hatfield; granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Kathy and Damon Lasley of Clarkson, Ky., and Tammy and Billy Hazelip of Elizabethtown, Ky.; granddaughter, Delana Hatfield of Elizabethtown, Ky.; and special friend, Oleta Cook of Summit, Ky. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 3, 2004 at 11 a.m. CDT at Unity Pentecostal Church with Bro. Billy Wayne Hack.
Burial will be in the Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

Ava G. Wilbur
Ava G. Wilbur, age 88, of Leitchfield, died on Monday, May 24, 2004 at her residence.
She was born on January 5, 1916 in Short Creek, Ky., as the daughter of James A. and Ollie Isabell Dennison. She was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wilbur.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mel and Diane Wilbur of Lexington, Ky.; and one sister, Ina Ree Snyder of Penn. Also surviving are three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2004 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.
Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.
