Danny Ray Wieland, age 32, of Leitchfield, died on Saturday, May 22, 2004 at the Bon Harbor Nursing Center in Owensboro, Ky.
He was born February 5, 1972 in San Antonio, Tx. as the son of John and Eugenia (Tomes) Wieland. He was a dry wall hanger, and a member of the Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church in Caneyville, Ky.
He is survived by his fianc/, Lola Hall of Leitchfield; two children, Samantha Raye and Travis Cameron Wieland, both of Leitchfield; his mother, Eugenia (Tomes) Wieland of Leitchfield; two brothers, Joe T. and Jerome F. Wieland, both of Leitchfield; three sisters, Jean Wieland and Nicole (Wieland) Hodges, both of Leitchfield, Diana Shellhart of St. Paul; and his aunt and uncle, Brenda and Dorman Weedman of Leitchfield. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Bro. J.H. Manion and Bro. Tom Franklin officiating.
Burial was in the Rabbit Flat Cemtery.

Claude "Butch" Burkhammer
Claude "Butch" Burkhammer, age 59, of Big Clifty, Ky., died on Monday, May 31, 2004 in Vine Grove, Ky.
He was born in Jefferson County, Ky., as the son of Claude and Jewell Johnson Burkhammer. He was a truck driver for B & J Trucking, a U.S. Army veteran, member of Masonic Lodge #238 in Leitchfield, Ky.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Burkhammer of Big Clifty, Ky.; three daughters, Tara Ratliff of Louisville, Ky., Vickie Gautier of Corydon, Ind., and Johnna Benson of New Albany, Ind.; three sons, Dale Burkhammer of St. Petersburg, Fla., Claude Burkhammer Jr. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Tony Burkhammer of Clearwater, Fla.; one step-daughter, Linda Jo Snyder of Louisville, Ky.; two step-sons, David Snider of Big Clifty, Ky., and Kenneth Snider of Paducah, Ky.; one sister, Rosetta Ann Taylor of Clarkson, Ky.; two brothers, Floyd Johnson Burkhammer of Elizabethtown, Ky. and Lloyd John Burkhammer of West Virginia. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 4, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Patton's Brownsville Chapel with Bro. Jerry Patton officiating.
Burial will be in the Kinser Cemetery with military graveside services by Nesbit Alexander Memorial post #6937.
Amos L. Brooks
Amos L. Brooks, age 80, of Bee Springs, Ky., died on Sunday, May 23, 2004 at the Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
He was born in Edmonson County, Ky. He was a WWII Army veteran, retired bus driver (Ft. Knox), former song leader, and deacon of Jock United Baptist Chrch.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Brooks of Bee Springs, Ky.; two daughters, Michelle (Leo) Stevenson, and Vonda (Damon) Ashley, all of Bee Springs; two sons, Ronnie (Donna) Brooks of Bee Springs, and Jeff (Teresa) Brooks of Sweeden, Ky.; one brother, Porter Brooks of Bee Springs; one sister, Dora Vincent of Bee Springs; four step-sons, Steve (Sandra) Page of Park City, Ky., Harry (Helen Sue) Page of Sweeden; Roy (Amanda) Page and Ray (Sharon) Page, all of Mammoth Cave, Ky.; two step-daughters, Judy (Jimmy) Richards of Brownsville, Ky., and Audrey Sanders of Mammoth Cave. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sons, Steve, Jimmy Dale and Larry Robert Brooks; one grandchild, Todd Daniel Brooks; his first wife, Wanda VanMeter Brooks; and his parents, George Chat Brooks and Ella Harp Brooks.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at Jock United Baptist Church.
Burial was in the Jock United Baptist Church Cemetery with military rites by Nisset Alexander Memorial Post #6937 VFW.
Mary Anna (Stallings) Godsey
Mary Anna (Stallings) Godsey, age 86, of Evansville, died on Friday, May 28, 2004 at Bethel Manor Nursing Home.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and the Quilting Club. She was formerly a member of Wings of Shasta Camping Club. She enjoyed flower gardening and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy P. Godsey; andson, Gary L. Godsey.
She is survived by three sons, Mike Godsey and wife, Carol of Evansville, Don Godsey and wife, Kathy of Evansville, and Ken Godsey and wife, Renee' of Jefferson City, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Barbara Godsey of Weslaco, Texas; one sister, Lois of Owensboro, Ky.; and one brother, Paul Douglas of Leitchfield. Also surviving are grandchildren, Sabrina Bellino, Jim Godsey, Jeff Godsey; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at St. Stephen Cathedral in Owensboro, Ky.
Entombment in the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Owensboro, Ky.

James Elbert "Moon" Whitaker
James Elbert "Moon" Whitaker, age 85, of Leitchfield, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at the Leitchfield Health Care Manor.
He was born January 21, 1919 in Grayson County as the son of Ezra and Sarah Cook Whitaker.
He was a retired farmer in the Sadler Community.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy McStoots Whitaker of Leitchfield, three sons and daughter-in-laws, Williams F. and Karen Whitaker of Dover, DE., James Racky and Pernie Whitaker, and Ricky L. and Anna Whitaker of Leitchfield, two brothers, Herman of Leitchfield and Williams "Round" Whitaker of Irvington, two sisters, Ulva McStoots and Elsie Ree Lashley, both of Leitchfield. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Junior Ray Whitaker.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Bro. Edward Cockriel officiating.
Burial was in the Sadler cemetery.
Beulah Robinson Goodman
Beulah Robinson Goodman, age 73, of Constantine, Ky., died on Monday, May 24, 2004 at Norton's Hospital.
She was born November 28, 1930 in Breckinridge County as the daughter of Lonnie and Anna Marie Beatty Robinson. She was a housewife and trucker, and a member of Constantine United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Walter "Clarence" Goodman; one daughter, Cheryl Goodman of Custer, Ky.; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Kendall and Debbie Goodman of Constantine, and Damon Keith and Regina Goodman of Cecilia, Ky.; and one brother, Charles B. Robinson of Louisville, Ky. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Melinda Lynn Beauchamp and Darren Keith Goodman; and one great-grandchild, Clay Keith Goodman.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 27, 2004 at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home with Rev. Freddie Vertress officiating.
Burial will be in the Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
