Clay "Lone Wolf" Ambrose, age 66, of Clarkson, Ky., died Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
He was born August 25, 1938 in Perry County, Ky., as the son of Willie D. Ambrose and Cassie Wooten. He was a member of The Holiness Faith.
He is survived by one brother, Ray Ambrose of Big Clifty, Ky.; and his fiance' Sharon Scott of South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held Sunday, October 10, 2004 at Engle-Walker Funeral Home, Hazard, Ky., with Bro. Johnny Ambrose officiating.
Burial was in the Ambrose Cemetery.
Rogers-Oller Funeral Home in Clarkson was in charge of the arrangements.
Frank Henning
Frank Henning, age 87, of Hardinsburg, Ky., died Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at his residence.
He was born in Breckinridge County August 13, 1917 as the son of Eugene and Elizabeth Wheatley Henning. He was a farmer and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline Henning of Hardinsburg; four sons, Francis (Sue) Henning of Hardinsburg, Tommy (Maxine) Henning of Leitchfield, Larry (Mary Edward) Henning of Hardinsburg, and Mike (Charmaine) Henning of Hardinsburg; three daughters, Betty Ann (Joe) Payne of Hardinsburg, Helen (Larry) Butler of Leitchfield, and Sr. Mary Henning of Owensboro, Ky.; two brothers, Carroll Henning of Wisconsin and Victor Henning of Hardinsburg; and one sister, Eula Martin of Missouri. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Charlie, Michelle, Timmy, and Chris Henning, Sarah Lee, Missy Hart, Josh and Chad Butler; and five great-grandchildren, Chasity, Brandon and Logan Henning, Logan and Jacob Hart.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 8, 2004 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Axtel, Ky., with Fr. Ken Mikulcik officiating.
Burial was in the St. Anthony Cemetery.
Raymond Earl Goldsmith
Raymond Earl Goldsmith, age 48, of Bowling Green, Ky., died Monday, October 4, 2004.
He was born September 20, 1956.
He is survived by four daughters, Jamie Goldsmith of Florida, Jennifer Goldsmith of Georgia, Kelly and Lydia Goldsmith, both of Leitchfield; one son, Clifford Goldsmith of Leitchfield; his father, Daymon E. Goldsmith of Mt. Sherman, Ky., sister, Patricia Snider of Monton, Ill., three half brothers, Leo Goldsmith of Mt. Sherman, Roger Goldsmith of Greensburg, Ky., and William Lee Hayes of Radcliff, Ky.; two half sisters, Lisa Goldsmith of Greensburg and Debbie Butler of Mt. Sherman.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jean Higdon.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 8, 2004 at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home with Rev. Chester Shartzer officiating.
Burial was in the Gibson and Armes Cemetery.
Frances Mae Beamer
Frances Mae Beamer, age 71, of Leitchfield, formerly of Louisville, died Friday, September 17, 2004 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
She was born June 13, 1933 in Grayson County as the daughter of Roy and Eva Cottrell-Shartzer. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary Post 81 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Churchill Downs Post.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Roy Shartzer, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Elbert "Boots" Beamer, of Leitchifeld; one son, Robert Beamer of Clarkson; one sister, Brenda Haueter, of Charleston, IN.; one brother, Shelby Shartzer, of Louisville. Also surviving are two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 20, 2004 at the Watson and Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield.
Burial will be at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Leitchfield.
Malcolm (Mike) N. Roberts Jr.
Malcolm (Mike) N. Roberts Jr., age 86, of Vidalia, Ga., formerly of Falls of Rough, Ky., died Friday, August 20, 2004 at his home in Georgia.
He was born December 21, 1917 in Meridian, Mississippi as the son of Malcolm and Minnie Roberts Sr. He was a retired Plant Supervisor of Security for the Ford Motor Company in Louisville. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the FBI Retired Agents Association, and the American Society of Industrial Security.
He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Sharon (Ross) and Chester L. Proctor of Vidalia, Ga., and Joanne McKenzie of Falls of Rough; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Heath, Michael Ross, Rebecca Ross, Robert Andrew Ross, and Joseph T. Ross, all of Ga.; and Maranda McKenzie of Falls of Rough; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 24, 2004 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.
Burial was in the St. Anthony Cemetery at Axtel, Ky.
Myrtle Mae Butler
Myrtle Mae Butler, age 93, of Caneyville, Ky., died on Friday, May 14, 2004 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
She was born on August 19, 1910 in Grayson County as the daughter of Jess and Ida Shartzer Stone. She was a housewife, and was a member of the Stones View Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harve Butler.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Joseph Garcia of Clarksville, Tenn. and Elsie and Bob Davenport of Leitchfield; two sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Janice Butler and Raymond and Nancy Butler, all of Caneyville; and a sister-in-law, Gladys Stone of Leitchfield. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday, May 17, 2004 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Bro. Edward Dermitt officiating.
Burial was in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens.
