Tennyson "Tenny" E. Glass, age 74, of Caneyville, Ky., died Friday, September 17, 2004 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
He was born on July 30, 1930 in Summer Shade, Ky., as the son of William Howard and Oma Lee Taylor Glass. He was an army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a cabinet maker and a retired oil driller and was a member of the Wilson Home General Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Artie Cooper Glass and Wilma Lucille Glass; and a daughter, Shielda Kay Glass.
He is survived by two step-daughters, Sharon Gary of West Point, Ky. and Carol Clemons of Leitchfield; one brother, Medford Glass of Caneyville; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 20, 2004 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville with Rev. Joe Watson officiating.
Burial was in the Wilson Home Cemetery.
Kameron Taylor Cornwell
Kameron Taylor Cornwell, age 14, of Leitchfield, died Saturday, August 14, 2004 as a result of an ATV accident.
He was born June 29, 1990 in Louisville as the son of Kenny and Karen VanMeter Cornwell. He was a freshman at the Grayson County High School and attended the Claggett United Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Karen Cornwell-Madison and step-father, Larry Madison of Leitchfield; two brothers, Ken and Kordell Cornwell, both of Leitchfield; and his sister and brother-in-law, Amanda and Paul Filburn of Caneyville; maternal grandparents, Harold and Odeline VanMeter of Clarkson; three nieces, SaDonna Cornwell, Kacey Cornwell and Ashton Filburn; and one nephew, Jackson Filburn. He is also survived by two special friends, Wallace and Sissy Anderson of Leitchfield.
His father, Kenny Cornwell, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at the Claggett United Baptist Church in Leitchfield with Rev. Wayne Tomes officiating.
Burial was in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield was in charge of the arrangements.
Since Kameron was interested in anything mechanical or farm-related, a special fund to provide education, instructional materials and-or safety equipment to local children (ATV safety or supporting existing farm instruction) is being set up.
Donations to the Kameron Taylor Cornwell Memorial Scholarship Fund can be made in care of Integra Bank of Leitchfield.
Amanda D. (Snell) Milliner
Amanda D. (Snell) Milliner, age 29, of Clarkson, Ky., died Sunday, August 15, 2004 at her residence.
She was born on October 10, 1974 in Hardin County, Ky., as the daughter of Mike Snell and Charlotte Daniels Snell.
She is survived by her husband, Craig Milliner; one son, Trenton Milliner of Clarkson; two daughters, Leah and Samantha Milliner, all of Clarkson; her parents, Mike Snell of Caneyville, Ky. and Charlotte Snell of Leitchfield; one brother, Michael Snell of Leitchfield; maternal grandmother, Nelda Daniels of Leitchfield; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Snell of Caneyville; and special friends, Perry Hack, Charles Carmon, Crystal Bratcher, and Stephanie Meredith. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Paul Daniels.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 19, 2004 at 2:00 p.m., at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville with Bro. R. L. Smith and Bro. Kenny Sapp officiating.
Burial will be in the Kelley Cemetery.
Marjorie Mudd
Marjorie Mudd, age 84, of Caneyville, Ky., died Monday, August 16, 2004 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
She was born on November 28, 1919 in Grayson County as the daughter of Billy and Olevia (Woosley) Wilson. She was a housewife and member of the Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alpha Mudd; one daughter, Oleta Ramsey; and one sister, Nellie Woosley.
She is survived by one son, Sherman Glen Mudd of Caneyville; one daughter, Alfreda Pierce of Caneyville; four grandchildren, Leesa Kerr, Vanessa Jackson, Melinda Smith and Heather Mudd; three great-grandchildren, Morgan Kerr, Desiree Hall and Tristan Deering; and one special friend, Laura V. Mudd.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 19, 2004 at 11:00 a.m., at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville with Bro. Jerry Weedman and Bro. Howard Decker officiating.
Burial will be in the Wilson Cemetery.
Weldon C. Embry
Weldon C. Embry, age 70, of LaGrange, Ky., died Saturday, August 14, 2004 at his residence.
He was a native of Butler County, Ky., a retired inspector for the Ford Truck Plant, a member of Moose Lodge #2415, VFW Post #1170 and the Oldham County Country Club, and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, the former Leyonne Meyers; a brother, Veldon Embry; a sister, Cathy Horton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville, Ky.
Burial was in the Layman Cemetery with Bro. David Brown officiating.
